Agree 100% on the seats. I also had a B9 S5 before my B9 SQ5 - and I prefer the B9 SQ5 seats by a landslide. The looks of the S5 “bucket” 1 piece seats are nice, but I couldn’t get nearly as comfortable in them as the SQ5 seats. Also one thing to note if you get a B9 with air suspension - you can do pretty well with this lowering links ($100) instead of needing a coil over kit, which saves some $$$. Too late, I just got an end of year new 2023 SQ5. Got a reasonably good deal ($10k off MSRP) and got everything I wanted on the car and more than I needed or wanted. Seats on the car are good, but by the tailbone not as supportive. I have yet to take it for a long drive, so we will see. I like the air suspension with sport differential. I am glad my car came with all-season tires, but I imagine the handling would be much better with summer tires. I live in the northern Midwest so summer tires are simply not practical. I would buy the B9 just because I can swap the turbo and make some real gains later on. I’m planning on trading my 2017 edge sport in on a 2019+ B9 in 3-4 months and I’ll have an APR e85 tune within the first week of ownership. 2019+ specifically with a manufacturing date of at least the middle of July 2018. As far as the mileage on them, my edge will probably have 92-94k miles by then. I don’t mind mileage as long as it’s roughly 12k per year lower than what I currently have. So a 2019 with 70k miles or less will keep me happy and this can be had for under 4k all day. The biggest issue will be finding one where I don’t lose niceties. Heated AND cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and the premium audio are a must for me.
Picked up a B9 in June. Daytona grey, Sport pkg, Black Optics, and the red leather seats. Still laughing at the demographic bit. I am that guy until my warranty runs out. On your newer Audi, you should upgrade your turbo and show the channel that you’re doing tens. Mid tens maybe even low tens on E 85. All the Audi-‘s couldn’t compete with that unless they were able to do something with the blower size on the supercharger..
