- Today I can present to you the full DRIVE & SOUND review of the all-new 2017 / 2018 Audi SQ5 powered by the 3.0 TFSI delivering 354hp and 500 Nm of torque trough 8-speed and Quattro (weight:1.945 kg). Many discussion are ongoing in regards to the rear bumper and the "fake" exhaust tips, and after talking to the guys from Audi they are aware that they need to change this asap and are not happy with their own result...good realization! But hey, ignoring this small detail, the rest of the car is utterly beautiful and perfect as you would expect from Audi. The handling is an amazing compromise between sporty and comfortable, the engine pulls stronger than the 354 hp would suggest and I truly love this Golf R32 like V6 sound it makes. Once aftermarket parts are available to solve this "exhaust issue" I think this is one of the best choices in the sporty SUV market today. And if you don't want to wait for aftermarket parts, go ahead an order the standard chrome or aluminum package where exhaust already looks a lot better than in this black pack...check it out in the configurator yourself! I think Audi is really giving BMW a run for their money and though it might not be equal to (some would disagree with that successfully) Beemer yet, it's fast closing in. Porsches have already surpassed BMW, as far as I'm concerned but their higher prices reflect their success. That all being said, I'm impressed with this vehicle. Good photo shoot review.

Wie lag denn der Durchschnittsverbrauch?
Zum Glück ist es diesmal ein V6 Benziner und kein Diesel.
Für mich einfacher der stimmigste SUV in dem Segment!! Es gibt auch noch was anderes als Auspuffblenden 😏

Ja wo isser denn, der Auspuff?😄tolles Video aber wenn ich diese Blenden sehe kann ich es immernoch nicht fassen wie das wirklich in Serie gehen konnte. Wahnsinn.
Ihr habt ja sicherlich untern den anderen Videos schon mitgelesen, aber ich poste hier der Vollständigkeit halber auch nochmal das Ergebnis meiner Diskussion mit Audi zu dem Thema;) Eine Entkoppelung von Blende und Auspuff an sich ist ja nichts neues, das machen andere auch, die Entscheidung ob man die Schürze / Blende aber wohl komplett schließen sollte wurde auch vor dem Release bei Audi schon kontrovers diskutiert (gilt übrigens auch für den normalen Q5). Man wahr wohl überrascht, dass dieses Detail sooo negativ auffällt, naja hätten sie unsere Community vorher gefragt hätten wir ihnen da vorher Brief und Siegel drauf geben können;) Nun weiß man, dass man Mist gebaut hat und will die Lösung so schnell wie möglich ändern, Plan ist zum Facelift, aber ggf. auf Grund der Dringlichkeit auch schon vorher, Optionen werden bereits diskutiert....naja. Was ich auf jeden Fall machen würde ist erstmal das Chrome Paket kaufen, damit siehts deutlich stimmiger aus, und dann warten ob Abt o.ä. bald für akzeptables Geld ne neue Heckschürze / Endtopf rausbringt, nicht optimal, aber ne Option.
Evtl. kannst du noch mal ein Foto posten bei dem man den Auspuff hinter der Schürze sieht.
Würde mich mal interessieren wie das darunter ausschaut.

The so-called 'fake' exhaust argument it's pointless to me. I like the 2018 rear fascia as is. The exhaust dumping under the car is fine with me. It has no effect on performance at all. The rear stays cleaner too.

It just feels so oldschool with a combustion engine. It's a shame that the Germans cant develop competitive EV drivetrains and put in their otherwise excellent cars. I was a huge Audi fan before, but now I can't spend this money on something that soon will be on a museum. Managment know all this, but they have the wrong resources and have spent all their R&D money on the wrong horse.

Yeah, but that is what is sad really. EVs are just better in every aspect. Considering getting a Tesla as my next car. Strained engine and slow gearbox feels pre-historic in comparison.
