Must be a tie-in to the Día de Muertos inspirations it's drawing from. Love the theme of bones in the Memento archetypes. Bones are often the remains of people and animals which are also preserved through time with them being collected and kept in cases. They are like treasures to humans and sadly there are still bones which haven't been found. These are forgotten until found.

A part of me wonders if the resurrection of the monsters isn’t fully malevolent. With ‘Bone Party’ and ‘Dance’ being spells and traps, I think it might be honoring the dead. Much like how the Day of the Dead isn’t a time for sorrow, it’s more of celebrating the lives of those who’ve died. In addition, the celebration is meant to sustain their memories forever. Maybe that’s what the archetype is trying to do. And anyone who threatens the memory of the monsters will invoke the boss monsters’ wrath 🤔
I always love when YuGiOh integrates worldwide mythical cultures into their card. And combining memento/revival, with Aztec mythology, whilst keeping the theme of YuGiOh (dark games) is peak design!
I think it's another sort of nod. Its Attack power which was once a top stat line for Level 4 or lower monsters with no drawback had been powercrept by the time it came out and another 1900 ATK Vanilla beatstick was released in the same set so it was forgotten about.
Interesting Fact: tlan in Aztec means place (you can check it in the academia mexicana de la lengua web page) so Mementotlan would translate as the place you remember.
I don´t know if someone has mentioned it before, but the field spell Mementomictlan takes its name from Mictlan, the underworld in the aztec culture, tying it back together with the god boss monster and why it can search it.
I think Angwitch is actually "Angel-witch" not "Angry witch". Looking at the Japanese name of the original, it does have the word angel. I think the original was translated as fairy instead of angel, because of the censorship of religious themes in the TCG, which has gotten somewhat more lax since then.
1. I love the Memento archetype. It being a collection of retrains of old monsters, both well known and obscure, that just have a cool new aesthetic and playstyle is a really nice idea. THIS is how you do nostalgia. 2. I'll never forget thinking that these guys were supposed to be malevolent spirits of monsters who felt discarded, only to learn that their actual lore depicts them as a bunch of wholesome goobers who are just chilling in the GY, while acting like roommates. Almost like an edgier looking version of Ghostricks lol
I like the direction Yu-Gi-Oh! is heading in. I have noticed Konami has been focusing on retraining old-school cards. They are really going all in on the nostalgia for us old-school players.
I left due to the BS during the XYZ era, but every extra mechanic and the power creep after that has only alienated me further. Give us more than the current format/master rule before I care. Only YuGiOh things I have done since then is play Dueling Book (not in awhile though) and watch TH-cam videos .
@@alexanderrobins7497 I also left during the XYZ era. Back then, it was getting unnecessarily complex, and monster effects became more degenerate as most cards went on, to the point that nowadays it is pretty normal to end the duel in just a couple of turns. I loved what today would be considered the 'slow pace' nature of the game in the early days because it resembled a real strategy game that required proper thought processes in order to win, unlike today, which involves creating an unbreakable board and turns that take forever as if you were playing solitaire. The only saving grace these days is the notion of archetypes because it gives a sense of strategy per archetype, whereas before you used to mash a bunch of unrelated cards and make them work together somehow.
"-tlan" is a Nahautl suffix denoting a "place", such as the central city of Tenochtitlan or Micotlan the resting place of souls. I think the tlan added to all of the cards represents the bones and crystals making a new suitable home for the old soul, which is why they come back from the dead.
You know when thinking about their inspiration and considering what combined conquerer is based on. I wouldn't be surprised if memento is basically just one big festival of the dead for the monsters. I mean we have bone party and Fracture dance, so maybe that's what they're going for? To celebrate the lives of these monsters in a sorta meta sense?
Have come to absolutely love this deck after testing it out in master duel Love the concept, the play style, everything about it, and will always be happy to see more support for it. This video was hilariously uploaded RIGHT when I was doing research for the deck. Perfect timing!
I'd love to see more cards of this archetype. One monster I think could fit in "Memento," in my opinion, is Cyber-Tech Alligator or Cybatic Wyvern. It's vanilla monster card that I hold dear to my heart as my ace monster.
We needed this video, hope Konami continues to support this archetype so it can becomes tier 1 I don’t know about you but that would be the ultimate Meme
Most of TH-cam's copyright strike nonsense wouldn't stand up to an actual challenge. Using music for 10 seconds in a 20 minute video is completely transformative - the problem is nobody actually having the money to take TH-cam to court over it. @@SowaraAkther1
neko gal no2 is hard to get the treatment as memento as theres another thing about them. most memento are seen in the yugioh anime. all their counter part are seen in the anime. Not all the memento are cards from 1999, I think the requirement is that they"re at least 20 years old card and that appear in the anime in on form either played by side character or played by background charater. Neko Gal 2 wasnt in the anime. by that rule the most likely lv 6 is Goddess of Reversal which is lv 6. was shown in the anime and also from 1999 released from the starter deck then
the funny thing is, I was ready for a dark theme for their lore so I was waiting for it's lore to be translated, and when the translation came, Their lore is as light as Madolche's lore lmao
I have a all yugioh protagonist in one deck that mainly specializes in warrior monster and spellcastors and dark blade is one of my favorite cards I have in my deck just because he's a simple 1800 beat stick that I can summon without any fuse
An artistic similarity is Chewbone. It is a level 3 earth zombie that produces tokens. The skeleton design is simialr in style to this series, plus it has red, crested horns with a red crystal orb inside it. The tokens produced are depicted as smaller versions with the horn crests being bone colored like the rest of them, but the crimson orbs still existing inside as the possible lifesource. There was a vanilla released in the 1999 OCG called Bone mouse. It was a dark level one zombie with slightly different battle stats. The design was somewhat reminiscent with it being a far less decared mouse with most of its skin still on. There is nothing else to connect these nessisarily but perhaps Chewbone could have been an early inspiration or prototype of the Momentos?
This archetype honestly reminds me of the crystal beasts. I know they don't play the same. Funny how you can have 7 crystal beasts in the grave, or field, to summon a monster that has a rainbow theme.
11:01 -I believe it is also an illusion to Two Mouthed Darkruler, which WAS a vanilla released in 1999 in the OCG. Despite the thunder typing and fusion status tying it directly to Twin Headed Thunder Dragon, its art is in a reversed pose. This links it with Two Mouthed Dark Ruler whose design was recycled for Twin Headed Thunder dragon. They posed it, facing the other direction and changed the color from green to red. Two Mouth Dark Ruler came first under this design and it is pretty clear they just reused it since it doesn't have two heads nor resemble the Thunder dragon in the slightest. You pointed out that Calligraphy Goblin counts because of its cameo in False Trap, so I think this was a tongue in cheek joke about the recycling of monster designs early on. Technically, Twin headed Thunder Dragon did not cameo before his debut but we did kind of see him in a seperate 1999 OCG vanilla monster since they are essentially identicle in appearence. Of course a twin head would be a double vanilla reference.
As a commentary on nostalgia, i haven't played yugioh in a very long time, but i work with tcgs. I saw these cards come across my desk and got unreasonably excited for them.
Don't know if anyone mentioned this, but Mementolan twin dragon could also be based on Two mouth dark ruler. Both of their heads are even shown in a left facing profile as opposed to Twin headed Thunder dragon's right. Additionally two mouth dark ruler actually released before twin headed thunder dragon in march of ‘99.
Something i love with this new archetype it's because he bring back forgotten monsters from the grave or Oblivion. In my case i discovered older cards i didn't know their existence. I created recently a deck mixed with Mementotlan archetype and ritual monsters. Hope we'll have a ritual mementotlan monster soon
Judging by the stats of the high level monsters and looking at the dates... I'm going to guess Summoned Skull is the level 6 Memento monster. Four reasons: One, like Dark Blade it is super popular with multiple retrains; Two, it was released in the OCG in both 1998 and 1999; Three, it would not take a lot to adapt it visually (I would love the cyclopean scythe design); and Four, it has a 2500 ATK stat so could be used as a hypothetical Main Character ace card. I mean, Cranium Burst and Fracture Dance sound like what characters would call for monster's attacks. Which in the case of classic anime characters have been adapted as cards (Burst stream of Destruction, Dark Burning Magic, etc.).
Just saying, if you like the concept of classic-era monsters reimagined under a particular theming, Rush Duel has been doing this for a while with its Bubble Era series.
So currently, there are no level 10 or 12 memento monsters, nor are there any “Mementotlan” ones past level 8… Anyone here have ideas for “Mementotlan” monsters that are levels 9-12? I’m thinking… Level 9: Dark Sage Level 10: Ultimate Obedient Fiend Level 11: Gate Guardian Level 12: Five-Headed Dragon
Five headed and gate guardian you could make an argument for since they basically have no effects but the others despite not having good effects aren't "normal" enough to be one in my opinion.
@@whothis5810 I mean I couldn’t find anything better for levels 9 and 10… All the other ones seemed too new to consider. Although upon looking, I’m thinking… Theinen the Great Sphinx for the level 10… And Black Skull Dragon for level 9?
@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire black skull dragon is a good choice, for the level 10 it's could be exodia since exodia is already a dead skeleton monster that's sort of a normal monster
Five-Headed Dragon already has a pretty decent retrain with Five-Headed Link Dragon, and Gate Guardian literally had a fully revamped Archetype last year, so it wouldn't really make sense to have them be Memento monsters
@@KirbyGroovy I mean versions for the original crappy ones… A fusion memento for five-headed, and a main deck memento for the GG (the new support has a level 12 fusion retrain, but not one for the level 11 main deck one, or even retrain for the three component monsters).
I wonder if “Nin-Ken Dog”, “Muse-A”, “Seiyaryu” and “Lucky Trinket” will be another mementomictlan new yugioh cards. 1.Nin-Ken Dog card effects act exactly as Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo effects but only for mementomictlan cards 2. Seiyaryu card effects can act almost as Driven Daredevil card effects or other cards(that you like for this card) 3. Muse-A card effects in my opinion about this card can act as part of waboku trap card and cannot be destroyed by battle.(you can decide) 4. Lucky Trinket card effects can be like Skull Dices and Graceful Dices effect(you can decide this)
The Memento archetype is so cool. If we still had an anime airing I could see them played by an antagonist character who's resurrected from the dead or something
I thought Angwitch was a portmanteau of "angel" and "witch"... since the Japanese name for the monster is Angel Witch (or Angelwitch, depending on the source) As for the Level 6 monster... I'd like to see it be another monster that was never brought over to the TCG, like Fiend's Mirror, Garvas, Monstrous Bird, Royal Guard, or Sea King Dragon... but the chances of it being something like Megazowler, Meteor Dragon, or even Thunder Dragon are very likely. Almost certainly won't be Neck Hunter, though that would be hilarious. Now for some Aztec lore... the crystal motif is because people in Aztec society were buried with valuables to give to the god of the dead: Mictlāntēcutli (pronounced Meekt-lan-teh-cool-teal). This was done as a way to be welcomed into the city of the dead, Mictlan. As for who is the true boss monster, that can be answered with a mix of lore knowledge and the card artwork. As the sun rises, the stars were said to disappear into Mictlāntēcutli's mouth, which helped to give him the power to keep the spirits of the dead safe in Mictlan. This is shown in the artwork of Combined Creation, with its head pointed high and mouth agape, ready to take in more power. There's even a bit of flavor in the card effects, where you can use the effects of the smaller monsters to protect and empower Combined Creation. Meanwhile, Combined Conqueror has a headdress like most Aztec deities, and he looks to be standing at the top of Mementomictlan, which would be similar to the god rising in the night to look down on Mictlan to watch over its residents. This implies that Combined Conqueror is the boss monster. Also, the Japanese names kind of give it away as Combined Creation is "The Netherskull Combined Dragon" and Combined Conqueror is "Netherskull King", but the lore tying into it is a nice touch.
A man of culture, I to fondly hold onto my old Zelda games. If I may suggest, I would like to see any of Gong's duels broken down because I really like the superheavy archetype
I love Level 11 monsters. Sure monsters of levels 10 and 12 are Usually boss monsters, but Level 11 monsters also come in Boss Mode and ready to shake the duel field up.
I absolutely love this archetype and deck. Takes a lot of studying to play it right, because just summoning things willy nilly will cause you to end on literally nothing lol. Also if an opponent actually knows how the deck works they can hold off to hand trap your Tatsunootoshigo or banish your Ghatic and you're screwed, but if you bait out the traps right then you can end on an absolutely rediculous board with 5(10) on-field monster negates, two pops, a change of heart into linking SP, a banish from SP, and a fuse into Guardian Chimera. Super fun to play once you start seeing the Beautiful Mind equations in your head to actually accomplish what you want with this deck. Absolutely love the lore of these guys too. Can absolutely relate to being a ball of anxiety over looking unfriendly or scary and just wanting to party with everybody 😂😂
I wonder if Kononami will ever perhaps get even crazier with these Archetypes, like creating a series of cards inspired by Old Sci-Fi movies like Back to the Future or Starship Troopers.
Angwitch might mean angel witch instead of angry witch. In fact, I just looked it up on the wiki, the card is called Enghexe in German (hexe = witch, engel = angel ... though eng = tight, it's a tight witch now). And Fairy Witch is actually "Enjeru Majo", Majo means witch and Enjeru is literally just angel with a Japanese accent. Mystical Sheep also has a fusion ability because Mystical Sheep #2 is a fusion material for Fusionist, a super iconic fusion monster with a whopping 100 more ATK than Mystical Sheep #2, and the first fusion to have a fusion itself, Rare Fish, with 1500 ATK and no effect. Oh, the field spell is a memento of Geartown, which is why it gives all Memento monsters the ancient gear effect.
I'd love a Memento for Feral Imp or Silver Fang. Dark Gray and Petit Dragon are also suuuper nostialgic for me. Petit Angel would be fun, too, because it could make a Memento Fusionist and finally give that winged cat something to do other than be one of the worst fusion monsters ever. Man, I love old Yu-Gi-Oh cards. They're so fun, even the vanillas.
I am pretty sure "Angwitch" stands for "Angel Witch", especially since in german it is "Enghexe" which stems from "Engel" and "Hexe", which means Angel and Witch respectively.
Mementolan-Horned Dragon was tragic. Released as a Secret Rare in the very first set of the TCG and outclassed by the cover card Blue-Eyes White Dragon which is an Ultra Rare who still gets support to this day.
twin headed thunder dragon is in fact 1999 card it made an appearance in 1999 in jp release of forbidden memories which is it first chronological appearance
Cant wait for Memento Cyber-Tech Alligator Dragon. That thing was a legit blast and was factually superior to Summoned Skull and so many others one tribute monster, but it got slept on so hard...
This is such a cool concept!!! I wasn't even aware that these old cards got a entire reimagined archetype 😮 I hope more vanilla old school cards join this archetype or get a their own reimagining archetype! Maybe one for each year?
This archetype looked so cool I grabbed what I could in the TCG. It just came out in master duel and while it is very hard to use and easy to interrupt from what I have seen I still think it's fun. Love the nostalgia. Really wanna finish in the TCG but bone party and angwitch are too expensive for me to want to spend the money right now
Yes. Can't wait for more memento monsters to come back from yhe 1990's/2000's. My guess for a new member would be Baby Dragon, since it was kinda iconic during Duelist Kingdom amd was mostly forgotten due to its basically weak level and stats.
Apparently from what I can gather research wise of constant hours of internet searching, there seems to be only 1 card released in 1999 as a level 6 monster and its Judge Man. So I mean a grumpy bone Judge man retrain doesn't sound like a bad idea and a really cool addition to the roster honestly.
I do think Combined Creation is based on an old card - 5 Headed Dragon. Shares the same stat line, combined appears to have multiple head arm things, and the different colours.
i hope they add the flame cerebrus (yes that how they spell it) to this archetype it was one of my favorites growing up as a kid & its a level six monster
You know a vanilla that id like to see a retrain of? The pal beast. While im pretty sure no one would really care, it was one of the first vanilla cards that i got and no lie, I really never seen any love for it. It could probably fit well for an archetype like this
Mementotlan Twin Dragon may not be based on Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon but Two-Mouth Darkruler which did come out in the OCG in 1999 in the starter box. Its basically the same monster artwork but Darkruler is green and Thunder dragon is red.

Key mace (Iru) was also integral to the legendary heroes arc! Played by the same VA for Misty from Pokemon!
In the anime when kaiba gets trapped in his own VR game. A key mace acts as a guide for yugi but ends up getting attacked and dies.
Maybe the design for Dark Blade was made in 1999, but only released as an actual card later
I think it's another sort of nod. Its Attack power which was once a top stat line for Level 4 or lower monsters with no drawback had been powercrept by the time it came out and another 1900 ATK Vanilla beatstick was released in the same set so it was forgotten about.

Isn't Dark Blader supposed to a different timeline for Dai Grepher?
I don't know how Old Dai is tho
Interesting Fact: tlan in Aztec means place (you can check it in the academia mexicana de la lengua web page) so Mementotlan would translate as the place you remember.
I don´t know if someone has mentioned it before, but the field spell Mementomictlan takes its name from Mictlan, the underworld in the aztec culture, tying it back together with the god boss monster and why it can search it.
I think Angwitch is actually "Angel-witch" not "Angry witch".
Looking at the Japanese name of the original, it does have the word angel. I think the original was translated as fairy instead of angel, because of the censorship of religious themes in the TCG, which has gotten somewhat more lax since then.
i think it is indeed angel-witch, cause even in spanish she is "Angbruja"
"Anguish"
Literally エンジェル魔女 or angelwitch
The original monster for the tatsunoo whatever also is just called "sea horse"(shii hoosuu)
Goblin and dark blade did come out in 1999 just in the ocg because it took a while to translate them
The conqueror brought back these monsters for one nefarius reason... TO PARTY HARD, BABY! GHATTIC DROPTHE BEAT!
Nostalgia is all they have, Yugioh is not attracting new players.
@@vileluca Fr. It has gotten too convoluted for new players. Used to be much simpler back then!
I left due to the BS during the XYZ era, but every extra mechanic and the power creep after that has only alienated me further. Give us more than the current format/master rule before I care. Only YuGiOh things I have done since then is play Dueling Book (not in awhile though) and watch TH-cam videos .
It could, it's like pokemon u fortunately they should grow up
@@alexanderrobins7497 I also left during the XYZ era.
0:52 Holy crap. A 5000 ATK/DEF monster and it’s not Level 12?! What?!
It's also actually EARTH and not a LIGHT/DARK for a change
"-tlan" is a Nahautl suffix denoting a "place", such as the central city of Tenochtitlan or Micotlan the resting place of souls.
I think the tlan added to all of the cards represents the bones and crystals making a new suitable home for the old soul, which is why they come back from the dead.
based
You know when thinking about their inspiration and considering what combined conquerer is based on. I wouldn't be surprised if memento is basically just one big festival of the dead for the monsters. I mean we have bone party and Fracture dance, so maybe that's what they're going for? To celebrate the lives of these monsters in a sorta meta sense?
I would like if the Memento archetype also referenced monsters from both the GX and 5Ds eras, after all, they are old enough to be nostalgic.
Maybe we'll get a synchro and tuner for the deck
Have come to absolutely love this deck after testing it out in master duel Love the concept, the play style, everything about it, and will always be happy to see more support for it. This video was hilariously uploaded RIGHT when I was doing research for the deck. Perfect timing!
I'd love to see more cards of this archetype. One monster I think could fit in "Memento," in my opinion, is Cyber-Tech Alligator or Cybatic Wyvern. It's vanilla monster card that I hold dear to my heart as my ace monster.
We needed this video, hope Konami continues to support this archetype so it can becomes tier 1 I don’t know about you but that would be the ultimate Meme

neko gal no2 is hard to get the treatment as memento as theres another thing about them. most memento are seen in the yugioh anime. all their counter part are seen in the anime.

The Memento Boss Monsters look like Classic Bionicle Combination models that were good back in the Day
8:08 Dark Blade is one of the paths that Warrior Dai Grepher can take which barely misses the mark being released in the OCG in 2001.
Dark Blade was my favourite card growing up and I'm happy to see him doing well in Mementos

>1999 Level 6 vanilla monster
COME ONNNNNNNNNNN SUMMONED SKULL
Any old Yugioh monster should be able to be a Memento card, not just ones from 1999.
Man, most of these brought me back my "Forbidden Memories."

2:16 I can really feel the "those days are gone" part
Memento Mori the new name of the pergatory all the cards we never put in decks go into. One day they will be reborn into new useful forms.
Never forget those cards that were there when this game came out.
Just saying, if you like the concept of classic-era monsters reimagined under a particular theming, Rush Duel has been doing this for a while with its Bubble Era series.
just built this in master duel, and ended up pulling a bunch of the cards in packs, including 2 Angwitches. Love the archetype!
So currently, there are no level 10 or 12 memento monsters, nor are there any “Mementotlan” ones past level 8…
Anyone here have ideas for “Mementotlan” monsters that are levels 9-12?
I’m thinking…
Level 9: Dark Sage
Level 10: Ultimate Obedient Fiend
Level 11: Gate Guardian
Level 12: Five-Headed Dragon
Five headed and gate guardian you could make an argument for since they basically have no effects but the others despite not having good effects aren't "normal" enough to be one in my opinion.
@@whothis5810
I mean I couldn’t find anything better for levels 9 and 10… All the other ones seemed too new to consider.
Although upon looking, I’m thinking…
Theinen the Great Sphinx for the level 10…
And Black Skull Dragon for level 9?
@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire black skull dragon is a good choice, for the level 10 it's could be exodia since exodia is already a dead skeleton monster that's sort of a normal monster
Five-Headed Dragon already has a pretty decent retrain with Five-Headed Link Dragon, and Gate Guardian literally had a fully revamped Archetype last year, so it wouldn't really make sense to have them be Memento monsters
@@KirbyGroovy
I mean versions for the original crappy ones… A fusion memento for five-headed, and a main deck memento for the GG (the new support has a level 12 fusion retrain, but not one for the level 11 main deck one, or even retrain for the three component monsters).
I wonder if “Nin-Ken Dog”, “Muse-A”, “Seiyaryu” and “Lucky Trinket” will be another mementomictlan new yugioh cards.
1.Nin-Ken Dog card effects act exactly as Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo effects but only for mementomictlan cards
2. Seiyaryu card effects can act almost as Driven Daredevil card effects or other cards(that you like for this card)
3. Muse-A card effects in my opinion about this card can act as part of waboku trap card and cannot be destroyed by battle.(you can decide)
4. Lucky Trinket card effects can be like Skull Dices and Graceful Dices effect(you can decide this)
The Memento archetype is so cool. If we still had an anime airing I could see them played by an antagonist character who's resurrected from the dead or something
This Archetype has so much potential
This has honestly become probably my fav archetype ever sense i started playing them in master duel cuz i find them so much fun to use
Love this archetype they’re really fun
I thought Angwitch was a portmanteau of "angel" and "witch"... since the Japanese name for the monster is Angel Witch (or Angelwitch, depending on the source)
As for the Level 6 monster...
Also, the Japanese names kind of give it away as Combined Creation is "The Netherskull Combined Dragon" and Combined Conqueror is "Netherskull King", but the lore tying into it is a nice touch.
iirc, Mementotlan Angwitch's name is mostly a reference to the OCG name for Fairy Witch: Angel Witch.
I get raw emotions of nostalgia when I hear the OOT opening music.
It’s so nice to see these normal monsters get a retrained archetype.
I wonder if Kononami will ever perhaps get even crazier with these Archetypes, like creating a series of cards inspired by Old Sci-Fi movies like Back to the Future or Starship Troopers.
Kozmo are literally just Star Wars Wizard of Oz
Time thief is dr who
Angwitch might mean angel witch instead of angry witch.
Memento Mori is a App Game good character design but really loves the Theme Song for each character
5:57 I love how you call it an "Evil" kuriboh yet its o.g. text says it harmless.
6:15 I think that Angwitch is a play on Angel-Witch because the Japanese name エンジェル・魔女 directly translates to Angel Witch

Now that's a deep cut

For those who played Forbidden Memories, Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon will never be forgotten. That thing carried us throughout the game.😂
This archetype looked so cool I grabbed what I could in the TCG. It just came out in master duel and while it is very hard to use and easy to interrupt from what I have seen I still think it's fun. Love the nostalgia. Really wanna finish in the TCG but bone party and angwitch are too expensive for me to want to spend the money right now
Memento Mori is the theme of Persona 3, and appears in Zero Escape Virtues Last Reward
and memento mori is a phrase in latin. omg I can't believe they made an entire language about the memento archetype
Probably a subtle nod to it.
i hope they add the flame cerebrus (yes that how they spell it) to this archetype it was one of my favorites growing up as a kid & its a level six monster
I wish the monsters that have the deck master ability from the virtual world arc get a retrained archetype.
You know a vanilla that id like to see a retrain of? The pal beast. While im pretty sure no one would really care, it was one of the first vanilla cards that i got and no lie, I really never seen any love for it. It could probably fit well for an archetype like this
To summerize what this archetype is it is deck based on the feeling of nostalgia
Mementotlan Twin Dragon may not be based on Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon but Two-Mouth Darkruler which did come out in the OCG in 1999 in the starter box. Its basically the same monster artwork but Darkruler is green and Thunder dragon is red.
Nope, same level and stats as twin headed thunder
