My favorite was City of Color actually. When you think about it that was the song the Squid Sisters sang in the Splatoon Direct, making it effectively the origin of all this amazing music. And walking into the plaza right up to a live performance of it again… it really hit me emotionally, thinking about how much time has passed since then, yet those memories across time still stirred in my heart. Yes I was on Team Past, can you tell? :P

This and the fact that we can revisit with amiibo basically just means they added the feature to have our own concerts at home whenever we want. I'm very grateful for it
Splatoon is so special, no other game could make me feel like this for watching a bunch of squid and octos singing on a weird language. I loved the Grand Festival it was truly the biggest celebration of the series, I'm glad to be part of this

Splatoon is such a cool franchise man. What other series feature in-universe concerts with pop-idols from every game? There's just a certain charm to Splatoon that's missing from almost every Triple A shooter nowadays. Such passion for such unabashed weirdness. An ocean of style and creativity. And while Splatoon may still have its problems, and has beaten my ribcage with a metal pipe multiple times, it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Splatoon. You're a real one.
@thatchillasian8924 fr, and one of my favorite aspects of these games has always been its in-game culture. it feels like it's developing alongside us which is what makes stuff like this so sad when it comes to an end. this is 9 years of my life and seeing this specific side of splatoon come to a close will be something I'm upset about for a while🥲.

Hey guys in case you don't know, you can actually relive these grand fest performances by using any idol amiibos at the amiibo box, even the ones in Splatoon 1 and 2! (if you don't have any, I recommend buying nfc tags because they are really cheap compare to amiibos). You can also choose the time for the performance you want, evening, night, or dawn. These videos are amazing, but why not experience the grand fest atmosphere again if you want to! Happy gaming and see yall in Splatoon 4! ❤😊 PS Nintendo announced that they gonna host Splatfest for special occasions like Halloween! Also, there will be big runs returning as well! 🎉

As somebody who went to MikuExpo two months ago (Vocaloid music event), just seeing this made me feel nostalgic for J-Pop esthetic music in concert form, and also made me realize how much the Splatoon tunes have been in my life since I started playing in 2nd grade, and now am a senior. What a wonderful event, my favorite Splatoon experience of all time, and truly feels like a celebration of my childhood.
genuinely. and as someone who digs concerts, experiencing this for the first time genuinely got the same excitement out of me that i get for irl concerts of my favorite artists lol. as someone who has also grown up with the series (started in 2015 and now im a sophomore in college), it really did feel like i was experiencing nine years of buildup all in one place. genuinely felt like a kid again and just seeing my little sisters share that same excitement with me (they grew up with it alongside me, though at a much younger age) is so awesome bc its like im seeing my younger self through them lol.

Although she’s pretty much moved on from gaming, and hardly touches Splatoon anymore, when she got to see Callie & Marie perform on stage, she was sucked in as she remembered her favorite squid-sister pop stars, and hummed along to the nonsensical lyrics of the songs, smiling from ear to ear; the Splatoon magic, which she took in at 1st grade, never left her even to 10th grade. It’s so weird, because although all the Splatoon music from the idols are lyric less, just listening to the remixed Grand Feat versions just feel like love letters to fans who played the games so much those specific songs became ingrained in their minds. I’ve been hooked to the OST since the event and am glad the game is such a fun bonding point between my sibling and I :)
i definitely agree. unfortunately i dont think the angle i recorded at did the audio enough justice since its less "surround sound" than some other video angles are, but one thing i do really like about my angle was how it had an equal volume of all the instruments and voices. i need to go watch everything on the other stages soon since i have only seen a couple from when i first played the grandfest.

I can't believe it. I became a Splatoon fan in very early 2018 so this is the only game I've been with from beginning to end. It feels like just yesterday it was December 2022 and I was chilling out in the lobby to Pour It On as it rained outside, dreaming of what the final locker decorations, final catalog outfits, final Splatfest would be…The day I waited for for so long is here.. and it feels so empty. I didn't think it would be so soon. Thanks y'all. It's been a fun ride. The Splatoon community is one of the nicest communities I've ever come across. Because of y'all, I'm a happier and more confident person and have amazing memories. I don't know where I'd be without you amazing people and I mean it. heard that🫡. as someone who has been playing since 2015, I've gotten to know so many people through splatoon, both online and in real life. even though it wasn't until 2018 that you were introduced, splatoon 2's era is still unmatched for me and I'm sure we've shared so much of the same excitement through that lol. will never forget all the squid parties I had in aplatoon 1/all the people I met on miiverse through this game, the hype era of octo expansion and 100 percent completing it literally the morning after it came out, and splatoon 3's release time (which was at a very important part of my life) and grinding out side order on a plane earlier this year.

Oh... are they using the old Pearl vocals for Color Pulse? I remember the initial reception to the 2024 Color Pulse vocals for Pearl was quite negative. I personally prefer the old vocals like most others.

squid sisters have always been my favorite because it's who I've spent 9 years of my life with. off the hook is so good too and they represent so much of the splatoon 2 hype era for me and tbh I think their music at least is my favorite out of the groups. then deep cut I really really like too, but I don't have *as* much nostalgia with them just bc of recency but I know they're going to and already are getting to that point for me.

I owe this series my life because if it wasn't for splatoon I would have never found out I was mtf trans. This is genuinely just... so fantastic. I will never ever forget experiencing this Grandfest. Splatoon is such a special series, you can feel the love of all the people who worked on it. God it's so good
Imagine if they put this much effort into balancing the weapons right, making the maps better, adding new hair and customizations, and overall making the game better

Oh... are they using the old Pearl vocals for Color Pulse? I remember the initial reception to the 2024 Color Pulse vocals for Pearl was quite negative. I personally prefer the old vocals like most others.

I like that they fixed it. I don't hate color pulse 24 overall but I just don't think it fits the splatfest vibe

they were right after the splatfest ended last night while we were waiting for results. it was very easy to miss cause I think there was only like an hour or two between the end and the results🥲

squid sisters have always been my favorite because it's who I've spent 9 years of my life with. off the hook is so good too and they represent so much of the splatoon 2 hype era for me and tbh I think their music at least is my favorite out of the groups. then deep cut I really really like too, but I don't have *as* much nostalgia with them just bc of recency but I know they're going to and already are getting to that point for me.
