Honestly, I feel like the Hufflepuff common room was the most conveniently placed. Right next to the kitchens = midnight snacks, and you don’t have to climb up into a tower like Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, or go into the literal dungeons like the Slytherins.

Hufflepuff isn't necessarily students the other founders didn't want. It's just that no student is excluded for any specific reason. You can have traits of the other houses but if your main ones are kindness, loyalty, dedication etc., you'll be a hufflepuff. 💛🖤

I read somewhere that Slytherin disliked muggle borns so much because when the founders were alive, the muggles were terrified of witches and burned them. Slytherin’s sister and mother were one of the victims who were burned to death by the muggles.
Could you please research this and post a video about it, maybe in a video about the history of witchcraft and wizardry?

I believe it's cannon that the burned "witches" were mostly muggles since the actual witches would be able to escape those trials.
Anyway, I also found a fan theory video on this topic interesting and historically correct. In Slytherin's defense, he had a fair point not wanting to share the secret with muggles, considering what muggles had done to his kind in the history. 😬 I kinda see why he was so protective of his students at that time.
I don't remember this but I believe people were burned for "witchcraft" in real history so maybe!
I think somewhere in the books it's said that during the witch burning times, if they were real witches they just put a fireproof spell on themselves and pretend to scream,, I may be wrong though

Personally, I want HBO Max to produce Hogwarts origin show centered around the four Founders of Hogwarts. I love the intrigue,drama and conflict along the way. The creation of Sorting Hat, Chamber of Secrets, Room of Requirement, Enchanted ceiling, book of admission and quill of acceptance, and magical paintings.
With the success of House of the Dragon and The Last of Us, I'd have absolute confidence that HBO would be able to pull off a great original series if anyone can.

Yeah speaking as a Ravenclaw, although I'm mildly annoyed all the official merch uses a raven instead of the canonical eagle, at least ravens are know to be very intelligent, perhaps more so than eagles. So, I'm still happy wearing some of the Ravenclaw merchandise. 🦅💙

Thought it was ironic that the way the Hogwarts founders items horcruxes were destroyed by the item of the fourth that was empowered by the very beast that Slytherin wanted to rid the school of muggleborns. Slytherin indirectly contributed into his heir's downfall.
Not to mention Godric Gryffindor's sword is the very item that destroyed the locket.
You know, despite Hufflepuff being looked down upon and underestimated out of the 3, I think it's still one of the best house out there especially to those who are considered as "underdogs" when it comes to schools and as a student in general...

We need to see a Merlin Movie Saga or TV Show (Wizards before Statute of Secrecy)
1. Merlin was trained under Salazar Slytherin when he was a Slytherin student.
2. Merlin's rivalry with Morgan Le Fay and friendship with King Arthur.
3. Wizards at the height of their power and how they lived together with Muggles.
That would honestly be amazing given how the name Merlin is so profound in our world and in the Harry Potter world. It would also give an insight into Slytherin politics as well, since despite being sorted into Slytherin and possibly taught by Salazar himself. Merlin befriended the Muggle King Arthur and founded the Order of Merlin which sought to protect muggle kind. Which is a direct contrast to Salazar’s descent into mistrust and paranoia to the inevitable hatred of Muggles and Muggleborns.
Another student during that time was Merlin himself. It’s crazy to imagine that Merlin was taught by Salazar himself. I wonder if Harry Potter’s Merlin is more powerful than the founder’s since he’s regarded as the greatest wizard to ever exist.
Honestly I would love for Morgan to do a video on Merlin.

I have a theory about hufflepuff-
So huffpuffs talent was food charms, but we never get any details. My theory is that her magic (or part of it) is like Julieta's magic from encanto that whatever food she cooks can heal sickness, injuries and other ills.

Helga Hufflepuff is my favourite because of three things:
1. Being from my country (yay Cymru/Wales!)
2. She is the kindest and most accepting which to me is Hogwarts’ defining traits.
3. Her house bred some of the most good people ever, she also to me value the best traits: hard work, loyalty and fairness, Gryffindor wanted bravery and chivalry but loyalty can become bravery when the time is right, Gryffindors are brave because of goals, Hufflepuffs are brave out of loyalty.

Honestly, kid-me wanted to be Griffindor, Slytherin and Ravenclaw. But adult-me appreciated a good meal that can refill itself at moment's notice... Like, never-ending delicious food, mate!!

You didn't deserve backlash for the Ravenclaw mascot mistake but as a Ravenclaw myself I can understand why - all official film mech for Ravenclaw is a raven so if you want something with the correct bird you would need to commission someone to make it for you.
I always thought it was a shame that most of the relics had to be destroyed.

Griffindor = wants glory, great courage , bravery.
Slythern= requires ambition, “ does anything to get their way” - sorting hat
Hufflepuff= loyalty , accepts people for who they are and their differences regardless of weakness or flaws. Promotes hard work, honesty.
Obviously Hufflepuff is best the others tell you who/what to do and be. Hufflepuff encourages you to be… you . Mind blowing I know!

I think a cool video concept would be all the ghosts/portraits/groundskeepers at Hogwarts that hold significant value outside of our favorites like Hagrid.

I think a video documenting all their encounters would be quite interesting. Of course, you could just read the books but I think having the events compiled in a video would be quite nice to see. Perhaps we could rank them in memorability. :P

Great video man. I was sort of worried if you would use the term “based on books and not the movies”, like some of your other videos(which was fitting there). But even with the Eagle-Raven thing, this video was really faithful to both the mediums. As the four founders and Hogwarts itself plays a very large role in both the books and the films, and unlike the other life videos or event breakdowns, the history of Hogwarts and its founders did have a great impact due to the films. So your decision to acknowledge both the mediums, even in the subtlest manner was brilliant.

7:29 There is one more student we know who were taught by them was Merlin. I have heard ( or read maybe ) that he was in Slytherin house and taught by the founders. That's why he was so good at magic as well as his heart.

Spoiler alert for House of the Dragon:
It would honestly be cool to have a prequel to the series about the founders. This idea just struck me after watching House of the Dragon in HBO, and knowing Rhaenyra (one of the main characters in the books of ASOIAF) will be eaten by her own dragon at the end.
We know their stories, we know how they end, and that’s what makes it bittersweet. I’d like to see them building up so much love for the 4 founders and absolutely devastate the viewers with the endings they all have; Godric and Salazar’s transformation from friendship to hatred, Rowena and Helena’s mother-daughter relationship (and Helena’s murder) tragically crumbling to pieces, etc, and their friendship left to be a shadow of it’s former self.

I think a show about the 4 founders would be a great prequel to the wizarding world movies, the fantastic beats movies and harry potter movies, and it all together. They could also do a show about the very first Triwizard Tournament too.

What if there were alot of parseltonge but many of them were not able to find it out because they were not stupid enough to try to talk to snakes.
That is very likely. Especially considering that so many people are afraid of snakes which could be rooted in our evolution because our earliest primate ancestors were easy prey for snakes especially large constricting snakes. So they evolved to be able to recognise snakes alot more easily which carried down the generations into their descendents which happened to be us.

Also here's a something for you there are 4 wizarding schools in North America that were each founded by the descendants of the 4 founders of Hogwarts descendants of Hufflepuff founded the Canadian wizarding school, the descendants of Slytherin as you would well know founded Illievermy the Eastern American wizarding school, the descendants of Ravenclaw founded Salem institute the Western American wizarding school, and the descendants of Gryffindor founded the Mexican wizarding school each of the 4 founders wands are in the schools.

Am I the only person who kinda wishes that there was a live action mini series regarding Hogwarts' founding and the Founders themselves
I know this has nothing to do with the topic of this video but one thing I noticed about Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. At the start, when it picks up from the beginning, it’s a big moment, the contrast being dull, like it’s black and white. Then throughout the movie, when big moments happens, the contrast changes to a very dull, black and white. Then when the scenes are lighthearted, like when the trio is sitting down when Ron found out he broke up with Lavinder, around them, it’s almost dream-like, the contrast being light and the people around them almost faded out.

Saying that Salazar Slytherin was "the evil one" actually lacks nuance of the situation. The other founders actually did some truly bad things. Godric Gryffindor made shady dealings with goblins to get his sword, and even threatened their kind, which made goblins hate wizardkind for eternity, Helga Hufflepuff made enslaved house elves work in the Hogwarts Kitchen without pay for eternity, and as noble as her intentions were, she still was partially responsible for enslaving house elves, and Rawena Ravenclaw was a terrible mother, and negelected her daughter even in times of need, which led to her daughter leaving the school, and to her and the bloody baron's early demise.
Am I saying that the four founders were bad people? No, far from it. But it should be acknowledged that they did do bad things, and, even if you hold them in high regard, just like many real life figures (Like JK Rowling herself.), it's important to understand that people need to weigh in the good with the bad, and understand both the good and bad things people did for the world. And that the world doesn't work as being perfectly black and white, as there are many shades of gray in this world, and the Four Founders of Hogwarts actually showcase those gray areas with their actions, good, bad, and everywhere in between.
Well yes according to todays values Rowena was a bad mother but turing those times she was not even that bad. At least she didn't force Helena into a marriage with the Baron or someone else. it seems to me she even acknowledged her as an heir eventhough she was a daughter. Of course she had high expectations into her. Most parents would have had those.

I wonder if the selection of the head of the houses had to be in line with the expertise of the original founders (i.e godric gryffindor was the best in transfiguration and salazar slytherin in potions etc. )
Personally, I feel HBO should make original series' on the founders, the marauders, Tom Riddle, maybe even do a remake of the Dumbledore-Grindlewald conflict. While not perfect, the Harry Potter films are good adaptations. They're better than virtually every adaptation we get today and others we've had years ago. So they don't need a reboot. If anything it's just disrespectful to all the perfect castings we've had for most of the characters.
