He was playing a show with ELVIS AND SUPERSTARS in Branson Missouri....stand u guy and played flawlessly and amazing drum freestyle solos. Great video and tribute to a drum superstar. Have u ever seen the plaque Elvis had made for him? Use to sit in front of his bass drums in his show... Beautiful... Thanks for sharing

I love it! I am not a musician or know anything about drums (or any instruments), but I was hanging on every word and loved where you inserted the photos. I never noticed the tape on Ron's drums. Bravo! Part 2, part 2! 🥁
I've never heard anyone say it, and Ron never said it to me, but I have to think the T tape on the bottoms heads was for Tutt! He did have his name stenciled on the back side of the batter head on the kick drums which you can see when you look in them - Michael had some local shop recreate that for him.

I told Billy about him and the kit about a year ago...Nothing happened as I'm sure Billy has a HUGE backlog of stories to chase down and film, but in last week's video which posted right after Ronnie died, I asked in a comment if he planned to do a tribute to him...BIlly didn't say anything, but obviously he high-tailed it to Michael's house and they shot this video.
Mike Ochs put out a video where he plays along with the Aloha show on that blue kit. I asked if he was gonna do more shows, but he said he had sold it. Guess this is where it ended up! Cool to know.
Love seeing this! I often wonder what happened to all the stuff from the Elvis live shows? To see these drums are awesome! I would like to know more about "all" the other stuff, costumes, etc? Especially Jerry Scheff's walnut maple bass, (as seen in the photo on your phone when you showed the drum set in concert).
