Curt, those fenders came out nice and plenty of product for cut and buff. Do you use a finishing DA sanders with hook & loop and 5/16" orbit action? I have done 6 or 7 with a rubber block and 1,000 grit. Keep going to next highest and wipe water off with squeegee until all shinny spots of orange peel gone. It is looking real good. Great job Curt.
Thank you! I usually start with around 800-1000 wet and go up to 3000 before I break out the buffer. I alway do it by hand on curves and rubber pad for flat areas. I don’t use any power tools for clear sanding, it makes me too nervous. I understand guys doing it when they are on the clock but for me I prefer to go slow. It’s a lot of work but necessary.
