knowing the -10.5% warmth per hour for every -1c is something so useful. Deffo something I didn’t understand before 🤠 Nice video Bashierobe, Good work bashroLove paralo4Gg5
Great tips as always. I went into Misery blind so didn’t know about broken body and only had 52% health with several stims still in my pocket. I did a similar start without the trip to Blackrock. I put down guts and hides early on and had fully crafted clothes by the Broken Body stage. I set up my main base at Camp Office which is very central and within easy reach of the dam for metal, fishing huts, rabbits, wood, coal and birch bark. I find I can travel far if I wait until late afternoon, some days the temp is even positive. I built a snow shelter to avoid cabin fever and a travois to carry supplies. Another essential, in my opinion for a long run, is a mag lens, as you get through more matches. I’m now at 250 days survived. I just wish Hinterland had made an achievement for this mode as it’s now getting a bit tedious.
in latest update hacksaw is much harder to find and that is a problem because if you early forge you ll have much less scrap metal to work with. But i believe early forge is still the best way to start the misery because you ll have bow at day 10 and be able to hunt for clothing materials
We'll have to see how they rework it. With the original version, you had to kill it before Broken body, as the double damage would kill you before you get to shoot it. Other than that just avoid it by moving around. You could only have cougar active in 1 region at a time, so if it was encroaching somewhere, just don't enter that region until it goes away.
Great content, and i do not even play anymore :) When interloper was introduced, it was only 1 hammer per all maps. I was an unofficial leader with 200 days, no one had more than 90. Everyone complained so they introduced 1 per every map. When there were official leaderboards, i was 1st one ever to reach 500 days, was #1 player in the world. I clocked in around 600h if i recall correctly, and stopped playing when 1st story was introduced.
9:11 It's not "additional" warmth. The total warmth replenishment is still 40% - the first ~75% of medicinal tea replenishes ~15% of warmth meter while the last bit replenishes ~25%.
Late to the party here, but aren't you just restating the info in the video in different terms? First 75% of tea grants 75% of the 20% = 15%. Last 25% grants 25% of the 20% = 5% + additional 20%(finishing medicinal tea without status) = 25%. In other words the 20% granted by tea is scaled linearly with the amount drunk. The additional 20% is only granted when drinking the final drop. To be fair, I always thought "regular" teas granted 25% but I'm happy to accept Bashrobe's info here(especially since it's likely informed by code inspection...) :D
@@ArchimedesLP Well, I was under the impression that the video meant there is another 20% on top of 40% granted by medicinal teas, since the previous scene was showing "reishi tea +40% warmth". I've seen a number of experienced players sipping 75% of tea and then the remaining when it's 3 chevrons down, thinking there is this "additional" warmth from the last sip when it's simply better to drink the full tea in that case. I remember even you didn't know that either until I told you in one of my NOPE videos. If Bashrobe meant that 20% is the baseline then I suppose his statement about the additional 20% from medicinal teas is correct.
Huge video, after 340 hours in the game I learned the sprain mechanic 😂
I never knew this either!
I have 500 and this is new info

you’ve been helping me a shit ton, you’re a real one man, keep it up
You are the TLD GOAT
Great guide and the tips with a lantern/2 torches is so important in Misery, but useful for Interloper as well!
So much usefull info in this video! Even for non misery players :D
Very well made video. Thanks for the tips and info. Learned a lot. Will take what you've said into my next Misery run.
Love your videos, please continue to make more on this great game!
I don't play misery but wow I learned a lot. thanks!
Dude, this video is amazing! Great info!
Misery mechanic explanation speed run achievement achieved 🤯👍
Very good video, thanks!

I said I will stay on Stalker, but maybe I can try misery. THX for tips.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
They died from sprain ankle!
LETS GO! I GOT FIRST ON MY FAV TH-camR!
If the Cougar is back what would be the perfect stragety to beat him in Misery ?
Never stay in one region 10 days or more. Cougar will almost always be instant death on Misery

I didn't find a stim in Cinder hills mine
Have they brought back the cougar yet?
