Going through Twinkle Snow. Pretty unique that Amy gets a different spin dash depending on the partner.

If Amy's paired with Sonic, she plays just like she was in Sonic Advance 2. Should Amy be paired with anyone else, she's in her Sonic Advance 1 style. Though if anyone is paired with Amy, they have to use the Sonic Advance 1 Amy style. But it has some advantages.
With Tails, he can attack in midair with the hammer. With Knuckles, he can spin dash on walls. With Sonic, don't know.
Amy pairing with Tails, she can use balloons to float and has a hop. Amy paired with Knuckles, she has a hammer that can break down walls.

With Sonic as your partner (for any character), you get a speed boost as well as a forward dash while in the air.

True but with Amy, she gets another advantage. She plays just as she was in Sonic Advance 2. She can spin dash, jump into enemies and can also do that forward dash sonic does in Sonic Advance 2.

With Sonic, he grinds rails on the surfboard from Sonic Advance 1. It seems to let him grind faster, and he gets an extra jump at the end (similar to pressing A at the end of a rail in the previous games)

1. Sonic and Tails
2. Tails and Amy
3. Sonic and Knuckles
4. Cream and Sonic
5. Knuckles and Tails and
6. Amy and Knuckles

the big thing i hate about the Egg Chaser is sometimes you land on a platform and the jump button just will not work. at all. you can tap A all you want, Tails's feet are glued to the falling platform
