    The quilting design for the baby quilt looks ‘just perfect’. What a great choice the quilt maker made.

    Thank you for all the inspiration. The discussion of how sometimes you have to step back from a quilt because you are too close to it really resonated with me. Your motto of every quilt deserves to be quilted is so true.

    I enjoy all your videos and all your hard work. I have started quilting around 7 years ago and I have a longarm Brother Dream 15. I purchased it just for a hobby and now I do some quilting for customers and for myself as well like the Calico Garden quilt.

    Thank you, again, for another great video. I love the pantographs you pick for the quilts. You certainly have an eye for it. I still have a hard time deciding on a pattern. Love your choices. Thanks, again, for your videos.

      I am more confident now but it took a long time to get there. And I still ask for other’s opinions when I’m in doubt. 😊

    On the his and hers I really think the blue print and the pink print even though they are both large scale really tie the 2 blocks together and personally really like the look.

    Hi Tammie, Great idea to make a pink and brown color way quilt, I may join you in this quilt along. Always look forward to your videos! I am now a long arm owner, so I will be paying close attention to your design choices and any tips/tricks you have for long arming. Thank you for making these videos.

    I didn't think that a walking foot made a difference, but it does! You need to sew with one to see how it does. I'm pretty sure there's one for every brand/model of sewing machine.

    Teresa, question on the Calico Garden. On the Fruit Basket can't find the bottom number on the shapes. Can you help me??

    • @tammieearnest
      @tammieearnest  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alma! Wow, you’re working ahead! I looked at the fruit basket and I’m thinking it is pieced and not appliquéd. The bird shape underneath it is a good 8 inches wide and the basket is almost double that. So my guess is that it’s not appliquéd.

    What needle did you use on the tee shirt quilt. I had problems with the thick prints on the tee shirts. My long are kept breaking thread on the designs. Any hints?✂️🌻

    • @tammieearnest
      @tammieearnest  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish I could take a picture but I’ll give the information that I can. I use Groz-Beckert DP X 5, 135 X 5, size 18
      Honestly I use the same kind of needle for all fabrics. I use almost exclusively Omni thread in my Handiquilter. On Superior Threads website, they used to have a chart where you could look up your machine and it would list what size needles to use for all of the different threads.
      Because of the thicker material, you might slow your speed down so that the needle has time to be fully out of the fabric before moving to the next stitch. I hope something here helps.

    I really like the quilt that use vintage linen. I have opened the link you provided and cannot find the pattern easily. Can you tell me the name of the pattern? Might it be in one of her books? Thank you for any information you can provide. If you cannot, I can adapt by watching this video. I would prefer to be able to keep track of the pattern name and maker if I make one....Thank you

      Carolyn's pattern was published in a magazine and can be purchased using this link.

      @@tammieearnest thanks for responding. I just like to see how others actually put their blocks and quilts together, but it's okay if that's not what you prefer to do. You have a great channel.
