My sisters 6 month old border collie puppy recently growled at her. She screamed at the puppy who then slunk away. Oh dear. I’ve sent her this video but I am concerned my sister is not handling her puppy very well.
Great video, super helpful, my dog growls at me sometimes when i approach her lying on my bed, I assume it’s resource guarding and so I lead her off my bed, she doesn’t drag a leash around the house but I use the blanket she’s lying on to nudge her off, I hope that’s appropriate
When my dog is in his bed, anyone else’s bed, the sofa or just sat somewhere it I come over to him he shows all his teeth and low growls at me and I just think right okay then and walk away or I put a muzzle on him to pick him up like this morning I had to be somewhere and has to let him go to the toilet before I left so I just did that but tomorrow I think I am gonna try the things you said in this video and hopefully will help me and my dog. He is a jack russle terrier btw ❤️
My dog growls at me when he is sleeping on my lap and when I try and get up, he’s growling at me. I can’t “leave him alone” cause I wanna get up. What should I do in this situation?
I have a three month old female puppy and she sometimes growls when I am completely ignoring her. I don't feel she does it in an aggressive way 'cause she don't seem tense. On the contraire she seems very playful, and I don't know if she just likes vocalizing a lot because it is a very weird growl. I am not very knowledgeable of dogs, so I appreciate someones' insight.
This is exactly what my 4 months old beagle puppy does when I ignore her or scold her for nipping me. I have noticed she does it in a playful way, she just wants to play. It’s like saying “mom, let’s play please!”
I just received a morkie rescue pup five days ago, day 1 she was getting used to us so she was standoffish by day two she was all over me following me everywhere. Day five, today I took her to the groomers and she received her 1st haircut but since we’ve been home she’s been growling and barking at me and even attacked my 7 year old son !!! What should I do! I hate to say it but I’m a little bit scared because I don’t want to be bit and every time I get close to her she’s growling and barking. I thought we already established a connection because the last few days she sits in my lap, she lays down with me for a nap but today it’s like we’re back at square one!! Please Help!!

Hello, What could be the reason why my dog starts growling at me and barking excessively (barking off and on for hours) when I come home late at night? Context: was out for about 12hours, at a place with cats. (Previously he doesn’t have any issues when I was out or at a place with cats)
