I love what Bob says about just letting it happen, make some decisions about time of day and year then put your heart on the canvas. I love love love this painting, beautiful Fall colors! And he makes it look so easy. And I love the smile at the end, and the look of joy as he ends the show. Bob was such a great teacher on so many levels. I wish he was still alive so I can tell him personally how much I'm enjoying these shows. Thanks to all who put these episodes up on here, I am watching every single episode and season sequentially, from Season 1, and enjoying it all so much!
I am slowly watching through all Bob's episodes in order. And...wish he were here to tell...I have started painting along! Thank you for posting these!!
I always think of him when I’m looking at trees and nature and say to myself yeah he captured the details exactly..I see the pinkish color in the clouds or sky sometimes and I see the different colors of highlights in a group of trees❤️🥰🙏🏼
They should make a gallery/museum for Bob's art and each of his paintings are there and next to each painting is a room where the episode he painted it in is playing so if you're wondering "wow how did he do that" you can just go and watch it being painted. Honestly I would pay like £50 to go and see Bob's art in a gallery of some sort
The sequence starting at like 14:13 might be my single favorite Bob Ross clip ever. There’s something about the way he says “imma hold it up here and letcha look at it” that just instantly relaxes me.
People couldn't explain why bob ross would relax them. It was as if a TV show created almost drug like effects from people. Non violent of course. Little did they know he managed to tap on a mind relaxation trick called asmr.
Bob’s voice is auditory valium. I like the actual painting, but man his show sure does take the edge off. It used to put me to sleep as a kid every time
omg I'm so happy! this channel had like 1200 subscribers 4-6 months ago ( if I can recall) like 20 minutes ago this channel had 300,000 now it's 302,000 great job! R.I.P Bob ross...
Simply awesome. Thanks Bob Ross and Bob Ross TH-cam Team for giving this ASMR Artist the credit he needs! + 1 for Bob Ross inspiring you to soft spoken media and ASMR!!
6:36 but I have used canvas boards many times and my Magic white stays wet for a very long time. I haven't had any trouble using canvas boards with the Bob Ross technique.
Sometimes he uses Black Gesso as a base, or maybe Magic White with a full coat of Alizarin Crimson. The majority of his paintings are with Magic White. He always has a base on the canvas, which defines the style/discipline he uses called the "Wet-on-Wet" Technique. It's what helps blend the colors so well, which lends itself so nicely to Nature/Landscape pieces (versus say Portrait-style paintings).
I think this is the first one i’ve seen where he doesn’t say god bless so i couldn’t say god bless you too bob before falling a sleep and it lowkey kinda hurts 😔
It's not exactly the white paint though. He first covers it with "liquid white," which is a mix of Titanium White and a thinning oil, usually linseed (1:1 or 1:1.5 ratio).
At 6:05 you mixed a brown color to paint the mountain. But as you start painting on the canvas with that knife, the left side of the mountain has a blue/white color (and later almost the whole mountain becomes blue/white). Could you tell me how is that possible?
You use oil paints. The mountain ended up looking blueish on the canvas because of the hwite in the clouds he was painting over, and the fact that he had some blue in the sky and in his brownish paint mixture.
Je préfère de vois Ross dans la nuit Ross en bon humeur que dans journée Ross toujours monter le vague pas normal personne ne dérange à ross mais pas content bizarre Ross comment on ose chaque fois vous êtes pas content on a plein dans la figure
+Jordan Marks It was on TV from January 1983 to May 1994, so series 5 would have been on in 1985. It's actually remarkably good quality footage for its' age.

Just wanna say whoever is uploading this, thanks. I used to watch these as a kid and it's cool to see them today.
Oh you know who uploaded it it was the devil because he does admit that bob gave him a good beating and he’s impressed
Beautiful! Bob was a genius at painting. Thank you for allowing everyone to see him paint pictures from start to finish. ❤️🙏
The magic of Bob Ross. So effortless.
I'm always disappointed when the video doesn't start with a giggle from Bob..

The tone of his voice is quite relaxing. I was mad at something but seeing this video is making me feel more comfortable.

How To Cure Stress
Step 1: Watch Bob Ross
Step 2: YOU'RE CURED
(if your stress is not cured watch more)
Love it
Same
Wow! I can't believe you're still uploading them! Do you think you'll have all of them uploaded eventually?
Does he ever not use titanium white
+Gary Busey There is a reason he uses Titanium white, you do realize that right?
+Gary Busey It's really the ONLY variety of white for the kind of painting he does.
+Gary Busey does he ever not paint a mountain? ^^
+MonkeyBeat ikr xD but his mountains are great !

Does he cover the canvas with the white paint and start painting before it dries?
yes
It's not exactly the white paint though. He first covers it with "liquid white," which is a mix of Titanium White and a thinning oil, usually linseed (1:1 or 1:1.5 ratio).

Oh, and I would also be curious whether you use oil or acrylic paints?
You use oil paints. The mountain ended up looking blueish on the canvas because of the hwite in the clouds he was painting over, and the fact that he had some blue in the sky and in his brownish paint mixture.
AnotherGreenMidget thank you so much! :)
Norbert Horváth You’re welcome! 😊
It’s simple, bob uses dark magic
i think bob is the guy who paint the mountain at the start of indiana jones movies
Let's play a game! how many time in his episodes does he say Prussian blue?
LMBO!😅😅
I'm new so I hope this isn't a dumb question, but is he using oil paint since he mentioned paint thinner?
Yes

Who dislikes a bob Ross video??
Only a fool!
I've heard youtube will put a few dislikes on videos just to balance them out in some way.
Besides something has to be wrong with you to not like watching his videos. Most positive man on TV next to Mr rogers.
👍👍👍👍

Is the quality just bad or is this 20 years old?
+Jordan Marks It was on TV from January 1983 to May 1994, so series 5 would have been on in 1985. It's actually remarkably good quality footage for its' age.
Yup, aired in 1985 so probably recorded around late 1984/early 1985. The quality is pretty normal for it's age, it's fairly decent.
