We don’t know that. For all we know his mind was a veritable hell on earth and his outward persona was an escape from it. Some of the most loving people tend to be suffering on the inside sadly. Like comedians suffering with suicidal depression.

My mother and I loved Bob Ross, but my mother died in 2020, so it's just me now. Many of our families loved Bob Ross. May they both rest in peace and paint for Jesus!❤❤😢

It always amazes me how many people don't realize Bob Ross is dead. Just shows the impact he still has on people who didn't even know who he was when he was alive.
In our hearts he is still alive. I hope he entertains people for generations; I was heart-broken when I learned he passed away, but at least we have hundreds of episodes of his show to enjoy.

Whenever I need to reduce stress before I sleep I open up my Bob Ross playlist. I'm a grown man, 6 foot, 210 pounds of pure muscle... but this man makes me feel secure and safe from everything in the world. His smooth caramel voice, gentle reassuring strokes, effortless wisdom... I'm happy now..... I think I will sleep. Goodnight everyone 🙂

Bob was such a gentle man with a beautiful spirit. Wasn't about the money, never took a dime from PBS, and donated many of his works. One of our creators greatest masterpieces. RIP Brother !

I just love watching Bob Ross. Recently for Christmas I got a Bob Ross four seasons fall DVD. I have already watched a few episodes, and they’re just amazing! I have wanted to learn how to paint like this for a very long time.

This man right here was the man who inspired me to be an artist. I've been drawing and coloring pictures since my toddler days but I remember watching an episode of Bob Ross where he was painting mountains and trees, I was about 9 or 10, and I was so amazed and inspired by it that I painted my very first mountain landscape. And since then I've been practicing drawing and painting and I'm 19 now. I'm still practicing and I owe it all to this man right here for inspiring me with his art. May he rest in peace
