  • You asked for it and here it is! How to crochet my axolotl! This is by FAR my most requested tutorial and most popular plushie. It's the star of my most viral videos (hitting millions of views multiple times on multiple platforms), and is one of my bestsellers for both the plushie and the pattern. I cannot thank you enough for helping me reach 100,000+ subscribers, so here's the tutorial that y'all voted on and requested!
    You can purchase the written pattern here: themaryjay.pat...

    Heyy ik im like really late so you probably won’t see this but your videos, ESPECIALLY the pride axolotls, are actually one of the things that got me into crochet originally about a year ago! I tried to learn with kits and many tutorials but I never could start a crochet piece on my own. The other day, I finally made a magic circle on my own and made a mini jellyfish. Yesterday, i bought some heavier plush yarn and immediately started looking for this tutorial so i can finally make it. I’m not very far in yet but so far it’s looking pretty good. I’ve been wanting to make this for over a year now, so thank you for being one of my first and biggest crochet inspirations!!

    My vote vent to the bat pattern as I prefer more realistic axolotls and have seen less bat turorials but how could anyone ever resist this? I need to make one someday, thanks!

    If i were to write this down and use it in my crocheting endevors (i wont give it out or sell it, of course,) would that be alright? I occasionally sell plushes to friends and family, and i would love to use this pattern.

    I've completed it in plush yarn with a 6mm hook and although the gills are thick and hold their shape when sewn on they're flopping backwards and can't seem to get them to stand straight like yours, what am I doing wrong?

    18:24 when you said to make sure it isn’t inside out and have the string on the inside…do we have to flip it and continue if it’s on the outside? I’m a little confused

    I've encountered a problem after round 31 you say to do a (SC, Dec) until you have 4 stitches left, while I have 14 stitches left from round 31 that method won't work as it leaves me one stitch short for the last decrease

    • @themaryjay
      @themaryjay  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! In this part of the pattern, the rounds aren’t used anymore. So it would essentially just be repeating (sc, dec) ten times and then fasten off! I hope this helps!
