I'm about to crochet this for my girlfriend who loves to crochet, wish me luck you guys-
Good luck :)
Goooooood luck!
how did it come out?
The sweetest thing I have ever heard, good luck, man!!
How did it go!
Even though I'm Polish and my English is average, this tutorial was recorded in such a way that I understand everything very well and the axolotl turned out very cute
I would not have known you aren't a native speaker
I'm polish to ❤❤ 🇵🇱🇵🇱
I know Im late to the party but im old!!! 69 yr old crocheting my first Axolotl! First one my Chihuahua puppy stole but it was ok cuz it was a mess! My second one is AMAZING!!! and completed in about 2 hrs. (Old people hobble to the bathroom a lot LOL). I see MANY more of these! Thank You Genna!!! Im just finishing Winnie the dragon then I start your dragon!!!!!
It’s never too late to join the crochet world, congrats!
I just started crocheting about 3 weeks ago and have been working on amigurumi very recently and seriously, this is the easiest tutorial to follow that I’ve found so far. My axolotl is so cute and I’m so excited to check out more of your videos!!
Please which crochet hook did you use ?
@@amalhamada9298I made it a while ago but I think a 3.5 with weight 4 cotton aran yarn. since that’s what I normally use.
I wish I found this when I first started. My first amigurumi was a chonky dino, which after a while looked adorable, but my first one looked like he was doing the twist 🤣😭
for those who are wondering why u have 6 sc at the end for row 6, its because you forgot the 1sc after crocheting the last gill on each side. it would be 1sc + 9sc = 10sc
You lost me- ima just crochet the last 4 together cause that’s easier to hide it 😂💀
Nope nvm, maybe I should’ve kept those added stitches cause now they don’t add up to 24 stitches
THANK YOU I WAS SO CONFUSED
19:26 (just a time stamp for me to come back to work on this later)
@@Darian2320thank you for the follow up!
I made a couple for my boss. He has one in his tank. They came out so perfect. Love the no sew and excellent directions. Thank you Genna!

I'm making this rn in valentine's colors with velvet yarn and omggggggg she's adorable!!!!! Thank you!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
that’s so cute! i bought hot pink and baby pink plush yarn for a failed vday project (actually her pink valentines turtle pattern) and you gave me the idea to use the rest of the plush yarn for the axolotl :)
Im trying to make this for me
I gave up because i couldnt start the thing to start the project i aslo had a mental breakdown
Dam
You can chain 2 and go into the first loop and crochet 6 around it
I've made a few and they are absolutely adorable. For some reason mine turn out with their heads turned once the body is done. But it gives them character.
Absolutely adorable! I wanted something small to make because I find they are easier to sell ❤
Thank-you sooooo much for sharing this pattern. I had bought a no sew pattern but couldn’t figure it out. This was very easy to follow. 😻
I've done 2 already for my friends birthday and he loved them so much, he didnt put them down even once!!
Gonna make some more; writing down the Pattern for anyone whos doing more than one xd

Well that was an absolute teaching WIN! Way to go crochet guru Genna. Thank you!
I would love if you did a tutorial on the large axolotl. I loved the smaller pattern.
I am in love with this crochet pattern it is so adorable I’ve made one for my friend for their birthday and I got so attached to the first one I had to make a second one lol, my little sis is OBSESSED !!🤩 ❤
OMG it’s so cute I love this you wouldn’t think it would only take like 30 minutes at most
Love this tutorial ! You explained it very well and it was super easy to make ! It also doesn’t take that long thanks for making this tutorial
So cute , I’m gonna make these for my summer markets , ty so much ❤
I just made 3 of these. This pattern is so easy and quick. Love it!
Your videos are so well done! Thank you so much.. just finished the axolotl and did your octopus the other day!!
Omg it turned out so cute❤
This Tutorial helped me very much to create an amazing little Axolotl
Thank you soo much❤❤💚
This is such a great and easy video to follow since I'm making this for my best friend's birthday gift. Did my first one a little wonky with the gils cause I didn't chain tight enough and he's SUPER tiny from what I expected. I'm redoing it right now but it some bigger measurements and now he's chunky but still so cute. Gonna do the strawberry turtle for my friend next year and the Toothless dragon for myself soon.
Thank you soooooo much Genna these are sooooo adorable and I am in love with them one of my top crochet projects
This axolotl is the cutest thing ever! Love it! Thanks so much for sharing!
My First toy attempt!..and i have to say they did turn out perfect
I just made this for my grandson. I ended up putting three double crochet in the top of the tail before finishing the underside part of the fin. IMO it gives a cleaner look.
Question! Can you go from a big chunky yarn to a smaller yarn when working on a project?
Yassssss it will just change the size of the plush!!!
Just made this with smaller hook and yarn, the tail was suuuper tricky and I had no space after 12 stitches decreases... but I did it
Looks adorable and overall easy to make and easy to follow along with your tutorial!
Absolutely fantastic! ❤❤❤Warmest regards from Moscow. I'm going to start it today. My daughter will be happy))))
Thank you so much for this pattern, it’s adorable!!!
