Mary you are such a big inspiration to me because you have solely started my crocheting journey and after 1 month of crocheting i am already so good at it! I have made a countless amount of bees and axolotls because of your videos! I love you dearly and appreciate you from the bottom of my heart❤ hope you are well, have a great day!
Aww I thought I replied to this! Thank you for the incredibly kind comment! I am so happy that you started crocheting and have made so many plushies! Keep it up!
I really love watching your tutorials on crochet and I have even tried making your bee once so thank you so much from sharing these amazing tutorials with us all. Lots of love from India Mumbai 🥰
As a really young crocheter (11 yo) i love ur plushies and ur so strong to keep up 9 hours straigt!i would keep up to 3hours but i love u and keep it up❤😊
A lot of the people that I watch do like 24 hour challenges but really they go from 4 to 8. You are so real for going for actually 24 hours. You legit are legend.❤
aww you're so sweet! I hated how I looked in this video so that means alot haha! And NOOO DONT DO IT omg it sucked LOL or at least sleep in between the hours or something and self-care haha
I will look into making a dinosaur pattern! I currently dont have one of my own and all the ones you've seen on my social media are pattern credited to someone else (I usually put it in the description so you can find them for the pattern)
Holy Moly you are amazing as a fellow crocheter for easter i crocheted easter eggs for my friends i started mid february with the goal of 30 to be finished by 23rd of march and i had only done 15 you are amazing seriousy
I love the axolotl pattern it is soooooo good the video tutorial is even better you are literally the reason I started crocheting at first I watched your videos and then I decided why not start crocheting also
Thank you for making all your tutorials! ❤ I just started crocheting last month and I love the items you make and all the pride items! Thank you!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I definitely chuckled when you have the challenge 0 out of 5 stars hee hee - well I enjoyed the video and it does seem to be quite the challenge - your stuffies are so cute !
You’re so good at crocheting, but I think when you’re back hurts or when you have headaches, I don’t think you should keep going just for safety but love your videos don’t put too much pressure. I know how it is. I tried doing that and I was in pain.
Omg!!! love it! I made a narwhal and 2 turtles and I’m still surprised on how it turned out!!! Thanks for making the pattern and for the tutorial!!! (please make a axolotl tutorial) ❤❤❤
OMG!! This is such a coincidence! I literally just learned how to crochet and this video came out! Omg all of my recommendations from TH-cam to watch is literally only crocheting like you don't even know😂 (I am 11 yrs old) So far I have completed a scarf and is in the working of a bucket hat for my mom. I am still so scared to start a plush, I got a kit from hobby lobby to make a dog plush and I was reading the instructions and OMG I was SO confused Lol. Do you have any tips for beginners like me? Keep up the great work!❤
The algorithm is so scarily accurate sometimes! That's awesome that you started crocheting and have completed a scarf and am working on a bucket hat! I do have beginner friendly plushie tutorials on my channel if you want to check out any of those :) It might be easier to watch a video than to read instructions when you're just starting out so you have a visual/explanation of what the instructions mean. One tip I have if you want to start crocheting plushies is to size down your hook since you want closer, tighter stitches to hold in the stuffing versus when you're making something like a scarf.
@@ArchieTheWonderDogOffical I’m 11 as well and I’m working on a Dino plushie. It’s only the second thing I’ve ever made! I find it easier to follow tutorials, and the TH-cam channel named crafter frog is the best for me when I slow it down. I encourage you to make that dog
Omg this looks VERY tiring! I can't work more that 10-12 hours and that's never straight. I always take brakes every 1-2 hours. Yuor patterns are amazing thought. Thank you for sharing all of these for free.
Passionknit Kelsie did a video showing how she crochets without looking and she had a great tip on moving more with the fingers over the wrist and it helps a lot. I know this is over a year old and prob too late but figured it could not hurt to still post it.
Oh my god you took a NAP??? How dare you?? /j no haha imagine thinking that tho? You must have been so tired I can’t imagine doing that (literally because I can’t crochet, i do love to sew though so I imagine it must be the same level of exhaustion)
I watch my tension and switch up the actions between crocheting, sewing, stuffing, attaching eyes etc! Luckily alot of my pieces are smaller so I don't have to do the action of crocheting non-stop for super long periods of time.
how did you crochet the purple axolotl so fast and make a cup looking thing for the bottom of it?? i started to learn how to crochet and i started to make a cat, ive only got the body done and ive started the head. i had to make a circle and then go row for row, idk how to make it a cup 😭😭😭
Next time if you have orders to finish, make it a priority to take breaks, like if you have a deadline, due like 2 plushies take a break, two plushies take a break...or you can break it up even further for big plushies! One plushie, break, big plushie, break. Make sense!
I imagine that, by the time you hit the twelfth hour, your crocheting slowed down considerably. Generally speaking, you will be more productive if you rest and sleep, rather than if you try to work as hard as you can for 24 hours straight. I would be curious to see you try two 12 hour days of crochet with 7 to 10 hours of sleep in between. I assume that you would be able to produce quite a bit more that way. Better yet, opt for three 4-hour periods of crochet with an hour of rest in between each period, followed by some down-time and sleep, followed the next day by three more four-hour periods of crochet with 1 hour of rest in between each period. Side note, if you see this challenge, and attempt it, please quit if you are showing signs of inflammation caused by repetitive motion (such as carpal tunnel or tendonitis). I would not want to be the cause of you getting hurt. Also, you may wish to look up some stretches and positions that you can use to relax tired muscles and tendons. A simple one to relieve or prevent carpal tunnel is to hold your hands in the air above your head for a few minutes.
I first started crocheting by following other people's patterns and over time, you just kind of learn what can form different shapes from practice and experience. When I want to design a new plushie, I usually draw it out and then look at the shapes and brainstorm how I could form them through crochet. Then there's a bit (or a lot) of trial and error testing it out until it looks right!
Those can be found at hardware stores like Menards. They are organizers for nails, screws, and other small items for a workshop. I use 4 to organize my perler beads.
Please make a tutorial on the axolotls pls. I’m twelve and simply love your videos. I’m planning to do bees soon since I’ve learned the beginners stuff for the last one month. Could you do it in six mm pls😢 I’d really appreciate it since I have to make a gift for a friend soon
