- I made it work guys, I blurred out a lot of parts, but the reaction is ready and up to view!!! TH-cam hates me though and somehow blurred out weird spots...whatever, it is up and I'm going with it.
Anyway, this song was super fun, I've been listening it to a lot after I added to my Hua Chenyu spotify list.
The reason his outfit is so "unassuming" is that he was added to the show literally at the last minute and had to fly in on commercial coach class, arriving an hour before the show was to be recorded. He had no time for costuming or a full rehearsal, so he just wore his travelling clothes for this performance....and he freakin' *killed* it as usual. 😁 What you see of him at the end of the video is how he actually is. What you see on stage is his performance persona. It's such an amazing and funny difference. :-)

Thanks so much for taking the time to post it💗 And you are right about him killing it *every time*. Honest to God, he’s my favorite musical artist on the planet, and I’m pretty sure he always will be. ( And I’m a fan of Dimash too, so that is saying something.) Have you seen the 11 min cut of Hua Hua and Jam being sleepy backstage of the very last 2018 Singer episode when they see Dimash go onstage to do “ Hello” and perk up to focus on his performance? I’ll go find the link and include it here in an edit. It’s a cool little vid, it continues until Dimash makes it back to the room they are all in and they clap for him. Although, in the beginning of it when Hua Hua sees the camera pointed at him, he gives a tired look of annoyance, like “ Really? You guys are still taping us every second?” There is also some Singer 2018 backstage footage of Hua Hua playing different pianos and some new instruments other contestants give to him as gifts ( that he’s never played before and pretty much figures out immediately) that is fun and interesting to watch. I wish I could find all the behind the scenes vid from both seasons of Singer subtitled, or really, I’d take it without subtitles just to see it, but, of course subtitled is better because knowing what he is saying lets one get to know him better as a person like you said, and I find him a deeply interesting and worthwhile person. There are a series of “Travel Diaries” cuts from a show that comes up in English as “Flowers on Trip” I can’t find any full episodes subtitled, but those Travel Diaries cuts are on the Hua Chenyu English Subs channel.
In the...3rd episode, I think, they are on camels in the desert heading out to a base camp and a huge storm comes in. Sun goes down, they lose the light, wind picks up, lightning cracking across the sky,..it’s pretty scary. At one point one of the girls winds up in some kind of trouble and Hua Hua uses his phone as a flashlight to find her...also when they finally successfully get to the safety of base camp and they are all winding down from an excited chaotic state, at one point Hua Hua asks if the Moroccan guide who stayed on foot leading the line of camels through the storm, keeping them from panicking and getting everyone where they needed to go despite the dark and the chaos, could be called into the tent. He tells the others that that guy was the bravest person of anyone there and he wants to thank him personally for his courage and his care for them.
I srsly effing *love* Hua Hua. He is such a GOOD human being.
I think you can find that Hua's stage presents are always so unique. Hua takes part in the lights, camera, and stage design. That's why he can play with the light with his hand. If you watch each performance in Singer 2018 and 2020, you can find it's a visual feast.

The funny face guy is Charlie Zhou Shen. A competitor as well. His song Baby is the best ever. I love him to pieces. Check him out sometime. Also, waiting with bated breath for Hua Hua’s Fake Monk.
It is because this is a theme song for a tv drama which telling stories about a young boy. It started from his young age and how he growth up to be a man. He faces different times and also has sad time too. But he overcomes all of the difficulties and becomes the greatest man of that would. So the song is also talking about his lifetime.
HUAHUA is his nick name when the first time show himself in public eye. After several years he got a punch of nick names such as “Honey, Devil King, Big brother, Shell brother, Lead Singer, Flower Five...” I remember in an interview he said he like the Devil King most cause it’s somehow described his performance on stage which is very opposite with the character in real life. Such reversal is the most adorable point😄
One of the most enjoyable things I've ever done is watch the entire seasons of Singer 2017, 2018 and 2020. I've found amazing new artists and seen interactions with Dimash and Hua Chenyu between performances that have added so much to my experiences of them both. I've put them on autoplay and let them run while I work on other things and it's been amazing.
Agree. I love the performance, the music the voice. No subs required. Hua Hua did a cover for 'My Skateboard Shoes'. It is a very fun happy song. If you going to do a reaction to this song make you watch the original song first. This shows that Hua Hua is very talented having to make this his song in 24 hours.
He dragged the wheat rack all the way on the stage, and finally the wheat rack broke. He tried to insert it but failed, so he took the wheat rack away. He is really cute
So glad you “learned” about continuing watching even after his singing. It’s some of the cutest moments. His microphone stand came apart. Not sure if you looked up Eng subs for this. As with Hua’s performance you know the lyrics are profound, and gives you even better experience. Wish there was a way to communicate to the shows how you can prevent being blocked. There are new viewers who are not familiar with Hua. Being able to see the lyrics and his performances clearly will make an impact. Not sure what the answer is as some reactors do everything and still get blocked. Maybe add a copy wright clause screen and or put it in your comment on each video and the original video where you got it from. Your reaction is well worth watching and it’s a shame to have to blur or cut your video. Don’t give up. Hua is well worth the coverage.

this is a song written for a Chinese drama. the way hua hua act at the beginning of the song is well represented the young and frivolous days of the main character on the drama. in middle the sad part is represent the lose of the one he cares. then finally made up his mind & back to the journey to fight & protect the one he loves. thats what i interpret according to the novel & hua hua arrangement...

If you continue with Hua Hua's The Singer 2020 performances (which I hope you will, as they are all his own songs/compositions, except for the one in Ep.5 which is a cover) you will notice that it's his thing on the show - carrying the mic off the stage after his performances, and he often looks mischievous doing it.
About reacting without the subs on, you should do what works for you, what feels comfortable to you. I can understand about wanting to just listen to Hua Hua's music and watching his performances without the distraction of taking your eyes or thoughts away from him, trying to read the subs and decipher its deep meaning, as you will miss things - he is a very expressive performer, he performs with not just his voice but his whole body, so he is one artist that you need to see live, as his visuals complement his vocals to express the emotions he conveys so well. Of course, to understand what the song is about, you can re-watch with subs, and be charmed all over again. Oftentimes you may rethink your initial impressions and perhaps dig deeper. But that's the fun of discovering all the many facets of Hua Hua and his music, as both are reflections of and inseparable from each other.

The two guys you pointed out for their expressions watching HuaHua perform are Zhou Shen on the left and Mao Buyi on the right. Mao Buyi is a very good singer, although the very soft. slow music he prefers is not my favorite kind of music. Zhou Shen is a spectacular singer and performer with an awesome personality. If you haven't already watched them, you should react to his performances of "Baby" and "Dalabengba", both on Singer 2020.
My favorite of Zhou Shen from Singer 2020 is "Doorbell", so good and deep and sexy ❤️

Heya, Did you know Hua Hua did a cover of “Creep” by Radiohead? He loves Radiohead, they may have been his favorite band back when he did this performance at his 2014 MARS concert. I’m not sure you’ve seen Hua Hua like this before. It is, of course, fantastic.
