I would like to suggest one project for one of your next videos: U sing Matlab and Arduino to drive a dc motor with an included encoder, like magnetic or hall sensor. It would be great if you can show, how to drive the dc motor by typing in a value. This value should be the target for the encoder to reach, while the motor is driving. As soon as the value is reached by the encoder, the motor stops to rotate. Is it possible to create this project and show it with us on your channel? It would be so exciting.

The wiring connection of IN1 and IN2 is incorrect. Shouldn't have been pin 8 for IN1 and pin ~9 for IN2 ? Switch only take digital signal
