@@julianbrown1331 Is it an engine swap or has Fiat been using this same block for years? I want an Uno Turbo mk2 and I hear those have pretty much the same engine
Gorgeous acceleration, but really looks like the suspension could use some tweaks to gain grip on those corners (the bounce really messed with grip and acceleration IMHO). Even noticed a 30 kph difference between the two speedos at times as those tires bounced and spun.
As much as i follow these guys and love what they do, you can clearly see above 300Bhp on this car there's just too much torque and too much power for the car to handle all of it. Can't put the foot down in turns etc huge wheel spinning, i think limited to 280/300bhp it would be more fun.
I think it’s common to see a high power FWD car end up getting boost by gear to maximize traction, or just to have a high boost button on the wheel. Could be helpful with this car too
Very true. The power to weight ratio on these cars already is fantastic it does not take much to make them in to rocket ships. 300hp even 270ftlb in a car that weighs under 2500lbs with weight reduction is nutts.
its what he wants i guess. i would want it too you cant go max attack on wet track anyways so why not have fun while racing and racing serious in dry conditions
The wine I’m drinking asked me two questions 1. On the track, would skirting help? 2. Would shifting earlier keep the tire hooked up longer, delivering more energy into the system?
Ok, serious question. At which point you are watching a car like this at your rear view mirror and saying "yeah, you go ahead, WHAT THE FUCK HAS THAT CAR HAVE BEEN EATING!" and let it pass.
poorly setup. it has understeer with a constant/stable throttle. the rear has far too much aero and or mechanical grip. its a front wheel drive. Japaneese tuners have figured it out to put 1" smaller tyre on the rear to combat this. That is usually enough but if not remove some wing too! soften the front end up a bit too. its bouncing and vibrating. the suspension isn't doing anything its sooo stiff. its literally relying on the tyre side wall for suspension here. so to recap 1" smaller tyre on the rear soften front springs by 15% (depending on where you are) front roll bar change as well (maybe see how you go after spring change) lower rear downforce. its a front wheel drive the amount of D/f you have here is contributing to the constant understeer
Great power, yea... maybe you'd improve the trim; as it looks on the vid, seems to have a lot of understeer.... Perhaps, with a lil' more weight, a ballast on the front axle ... could behave lil' better, entering corners, I suppose.... and maybe that (plus a limited slip diff) could even avoid a bit of that grip loss, at full throttle, when exiting, too.... you'd gain a hundred meters a lap. Then, for sure, that isn't the best track, to let all those HP off steam: longest straigh could be 5/600 mt maximum
