- Join along as we get the 1979 Kenworth W900 A model pulled out and prepared for a complete rebuild. With the help of Isaah, Ethan & Dan the engine comes out quickly and with very few hold ups. Then off the Trent's shop where is will be completely gone through and prepared for many miles ahead. Thanks for watching along.
I don't know why people are trying to tell you how to do things. It's your stuff. Do what you want with it. It has always cracked me up when you tell us on the negative people in the comments.
You've got a lot of really great friends and neighbors around you. Not many would let you park a dead semi tractor on their place for that long let alone let you use their shop. You really picked a winning community to farm in.
It's really great that Aaron let's you use his shop and helps out too.
You are Blessed.
Very wise idea. We also believe in pulling engines and putting them on a rotation stand
Proud of you man. You’re paying, you decide. Wish you and Yenko the best
That old truck and the Cummins rebuilt if taken care of (and no wrecks) should last your life time, hell of a lot better truck than you can get now days.
Confident you got it Duffy. Wrenching Warriors BIG TIME. 👍👍👍
Glad to see that everything is coming together for you! Your intro to the videos is too long for us that watch your vids every day.
Most folks have a button on their screen to fast forward ten seconds at a time. If you click that four times quickly at the start of the introduction, you miss the introduction. If you don't have this feature you might be able to find it in the settings.
In frames are ok for the first rebuilds in some cases. With the problems you incurred The way you are doing this is by far the best way to rebuild and insure long trouble free miles
I feel you're right in pulling it out and going through it,if you know what the previous owner used it for and hot rodded it ,better to be safe than blown up on the roadside. Good luck from snowy southeast Michigan
Glad to see you doing it right so it will be reliable for you for years to come it will cost you now but worth it in the long run bet you'll be happy when it's all done
That’s a great looking truck, and you are absolutely doing the right thing with the engine!
Don't pay any attention or even talk about the neg comments on the channel because doing that hurts your channel. They are getting what they want by upsetting you on the channel. Talk positively always. Love your channel and what you are developing. Keep it up and have fun!
Agree
Negative comments help the algorithm as much as positive ones. Mind your own business.
I like how you make fun of the people who have no clue! It is coming together Chris. One piece at a time. That is how it works. It takes time and money and the logistics of those two things coming together at the same time. Keep plugging away!
Your doing the right thing, rebuilding the engine, should be trouble free, once you have it done, love the video's.
Stay Humble
DAFFY This is a great opportunity project for the students to learn from and with him overseeing it is a bonus 😊
If a job is worth doing ot's worth doing properly isn't it, And you have the man to do it Chris.
Getting right inserts might help but that bar weld some steel on top and bottom so the bucket is trapped up and down
I dont know my 7.3ps egt and i run the fuel a little hot but lowest upsized injectors and turbo so im good but yes when going crazy you have the means with your right foot to destroy your engines. Be nice to see the trks both back in the game😊 keep trucking away on them
Good job guys
When I first glanced at it I thought it was held by just the hook 😂
Yeah I double looked to
That is one beautiful truck fix it up the right way 👍and drive it
Nice job Ethan and crew
We know you are doing everything right nobody should question you
I hope when this is finished this ones going to be the big money maker
Ethan and his negative comments helping out with the youtoob algorithms! Ata boy Ethan!
Kenworth is a great looking truck!🙋♂️
What a difference a year makes!...😊
You’re getting it done right, I like it. Don’t let the na-sayers get to you. Keep on keeping on. Be safe
You are doing the right thing on engine. I've done several engines and out of frame is always better.
Just add a DETROIT and it's ready for a million miles !
I love the Kenworth keep it up
LOL you could put the wrecked parts off the Mack on market place as slightly damaged. I’m sure someone would buy them.
As always, love the video its unbelievable how much you have taken on this year. Id think a grain trailer would help you and give you another income opportunity as acres increase a older trailer would pay for itself id think and give you freedom to haul when you want.😊
I agree with james-ok7rz, it is your truck so do what you think is right. After all you are paying the bill not them lol.
I have a 86 LTL9000 Ford quad dump truck with a 400 big cam in it, and I have commented to you before about the dependability and durability of the 855 series Cummins. Do your thang Chris!
P.S. my dog Sky is in love with Yenko lol. Ask him if he likes blue nose pitbulls
Partner, do what ya got too. Forget about the others opinions.
I think that truck was on a viedo of big rig rolling cb interviews if it was Chris they did love to run hot .
Most guys that work for cummins have never worked on an old 855 cummins. Majority of those guys are retired
I’m realizing now I need a shirt that’s says wait until it freezes or the ground drys out
Only thing i would have done different from experience is to pull the trans with the engine. It can be a pain to get the engine and trans mated together with the trans just floating behind it. I just use a cherry picker to lift the trans and wiggle it to mate them outside the truck. Only time I leave them in is if the rear engine mounts are bolted to the trans instead of the engine.
You can tell I have kids when Duffy walking back and forth through the mud sounds just like Squidward on SpongeBob SquarePants.
You need to Upgrade the clutch, Junk that 14" Pot style clutch and get a new flywheel and 15 1/2" clutch. Last longer and be easier to replace in the future if needed.
Personally id be going the detroit route cram in a 8v92 from an oshkosh m1070
Will be a great motor when done.
That’s a sexy truck haha
Just my thoughts on the Kenworth I figured you bought it to haul your own corn to the highest paying facility. Just need a trailer or 2.
Thank you Jesus for good People
Must be warmer there now,we're still freezing
It's 23 down here in Louisiana and there's ice.... happens every 5 years or more but this cold with the humidity we have and being at sea level, it sucks.
@cole9283 yeah and probably not much for heating equipment. Our Temps aren't to bad at 5 to 10 below but the winds kick it up to 25 to 40 below and we didn't have any get used to it time,it was just here, bam.
@nailbender7223 yeahh last decade we've had snow 3 times which is insane for us but it's the 100% humidity that makes 35 feel like -30 in newmexico😂
JC Smith projects just did one of those big cams
Drop a bigger bump stick in the old gal. My boss has a 359 with the big cam in it. We rebuilt it and put a cam in it I was in aw how much torque it had.
Are you going to get to video any of the rebuild?
Did you consider a Cummins Signature motor ask your mechanic a big leap on the N 14 just saying not criticising, love the show 👍👍👍👍👍
Sounds like you can't handle criticism I work for Cummins power systems work on million mile motors and never run into issues in frame overhauls. I understand for rebuilder easier to rebuild out of the truck if you don't like climbing on the truck. I bet your guy doesn't even do hardness test on crank.
If you want to do anything get hooked up with Pittsburgh power they have tried and true combinations.
So as far as saying we don't know what we are talking about I will put up my 32 years experience as a Cummins mechanic against anyone.
use a trailer to remove the hood , worked on the mac . LOL
Now you can put an intercooler on it
Hi, I love the show. But if I were you the diamond on the front of the bonnet, I would remove it for more air flow. The kenworth, I think, it wasn't designed with it. Always go back to factory spec.
Gerry in Ireland
I wonder if that bumper will be dented putting the motor back in
It worries me seeing your dog on the road. I'd hate for him to get hurt. Is there much traffic on that road?
Chris my advice to you is pay once cry once
What are the spec’s on Isaiah’s shop? 30x40 ?
Rebuild your Cummins sell it and buy a B model CAT then you will have some power gonna have same price in it now as if you bought a truck with a CAT. Build it right once and don't hot rod it that 855 should last a while put a coolant filter on it.
Duffy I got to ask you a question Aaron and Isaiah are they Brothers
That kw is fuckin sweet I wouldn't sale it
Wow I need the block for a boat anchor
Being you are doing the labor to pull the engine it is a no brainer to pull the engine. You will save a bunch of paid labor having the engine on a stand to work on it. Not sure if your truck has a pyro but I would add it if it doesn’t
That old KW needs deeper pockets than you have to keep it on the road.
Yeah, that KW ain’t no field truck, In the right situation that Truck could get stuck in a mud puddle in a parking lot, those large cars are not set up to run off-road.
At this point, convert it to electric..... lmao 😂
I recall you scoffed when I said $40,000
what will cost $40 000?
Whatever you do don't sell that truck that's pre EGR and all that emissions junk they put on them these days. Those trucks are sought after!
I know Aaron probably won't take money but you should have swept his shop floor clean at least...
Odd comment because we are clearly not at Aaron's shop. But if you are into floor sweeping videos I'll be sure to include them in future videos
Chris, you have to keep a closer eye on Yenko. He's too close for comfort too often. Please man, he's a big part of this channel.
Just wondering why you think it's your job to tell Duffy how to care for his dog ? He has been this way for years .
Are you new here 🤷🏻♂️ hello Karen welcome to the channel 😉🤣
Don't know why you stick your nose in other peoples business , one day it might get broke !@@kevink4914
@@kdh1309 Well, people who don't take care of their dogs, meaning keeping them safe around large vehicles and such, shouldn't really have dogs. Any questions?
@@kevink4914 A gut named Kevin calling me a Karen, this is rich sporty. LMAO
Buy u dinner, someplace cheap! There's nowhere cheap now anymore. 12 to 15 bucks for basic meal!
It would be foolish not to pull the motor and do it rite
Can we have a toy tour
due to technical difficulties we are temporarily suspending toy tours, we hope to open tours soon. thank you for your patients.
Yup tours delayed, to busy doing TH-cam at farm show , so the ship doesn’t sink. Farming temporarily put on back burning as well, not enough cash flow. Not sure a toy tour is in future.
Would be good ideal let’s say the Mac break down and you can’t find the parts you need will it be better to have new truck all plumbed up you need to hall,, Call poop I’m just saying who knows how long then you don’t have no excuse because you can’t find the part you need for your Mac and you have another truck to make money
Should have a good reliable truck when done
That engine should out last the truck.
One more guided tour video and i'm gonna cancel my subscription
Why wait, beat the Christmas rush. Maybe some of us enjoy seeing how others do things.
Unfortunately we won’t be missing you.
Chris the last time I watched ......this is your farm your equipment and your $$$ why are you letting TH-cam warriors interject. You have your inner circle advising and giving you information. Once these pieces of equipment are done you will be more or less running new stuff be it old stock but better manufactured than anything being put out today....
You don't own a farm the bank owns it
The same with every other farmer
@@jdcatskinnernot every farmer
@@williamspates1015 every farmer has debt
@@jdcatskinnerNot every farmer has debt. Each farmer controls there own debt and how much they have. Farm and machinery is paid for bank owns nothing here.
I bet that felt good, now you got that off your chest have ya got anything positive to say.I hope you have a great 2024 buddy, healthy and happy.
