Yep just wanted to make it easy for my partner so didnt go out into that current. Have done plenty of drifts in that area while freediving with kayaks in tow and yep some big trevs and sharks through that area
Not sure if they come with the quick shut mechanism but I've seen similarly designed lip grippers with a built in scale. Been intending to buy some as it means if you catch a nice fish you can weigh and release it without having to touch the fish at all. I usually release any snapper over say 6lb as they begin to be a bit flakey and hard to deal with
Love Kerry flowers youtube channel , I've only just found your channel last few days.. would love to see catch n cooks on all your vids..keep up the mahi tho
Welcome and thanks for your message. I have a number of cook the catch videos and certainly plan to do more. Helped Kerry get his channel going and made a doco on him before he started. Its cool to see his channel doing well and glad you found this one also cheers

LOL Kiwi I'm from Wellington so the Naki is tropical dude :-) but I had the sense to move into warmer climates guess I have become soft in my later years. The far north is certainly stunning cheers
