I get why some people didn't like this film, but I do think that the ratings it received on release were way too low. It is still a really enjoyable film.

A lot of people i;ve asked, thought the political stuff was way too apparent, which i thought was kind of stupid given the first film Again they thought that the president was supposed to be trump and the female secretary was hillary etc. and thought it was too blatant which is funny cause they had no issue with Obama being shown/implied to not only go along with the villain of the first film, but also have his head blown off with most government leadership at the end of the film. and that wasn’t apparently too blatant politically.
I liked it. I still want to see The King's Man too (i guess reviews say its terrible?). The ww1 setting is awesome. The same guy plays all three cousins (george v, tsar nicholas, and wilhelm) and rasputins in it too

the vfx artists react guys did a "stuntment reacts" video on the cab scene and i think they had the guy who was holding the camera talk about it all, super cool and worth checking out to see how it was done
i personally love this movie to bits. pedro pascal was incredible in it, for starters. and merlin‘s death actually felt grand and honorable instead of being out of nowhere and unsatisfying. he literally ended on a high note. and elton john genuinely stole the show. every single one of his scenes was a blast
Fun fact: the music used for the scene where Harry regains his memory is the same score used in X-Men first class when magneto turns the satellite dish with his powers.
The first one was so good, this second one didn't quite hold up when I first saw it. But it holds up superbly on rewatches. Funny, violent, excellently done, very entertaining. Edit: God I love the 2 part final extended action scene, its insanely fun.
The driver was killed from the poison blade in the shoe, the same way Eggsy killed Gazelle (the assassin with the blades for legs) in the first movie...it is not the same poison Poppy used.
I loved this. Merlin is my personal favourite film character ever so part of this film is... difficult. And also the reason I can't hear the song 'Country Roads' without getting emotional. EDIT: Also, you can see Merlins shoulder next to Halle Berry at the wedding as he was originally supposed to survive the explosion but test audiences didn't like how it was done so they cut him out the rest of the movie. I would have honestly not cared how it was done. I'd have preferred Merlin staying over Harry being alive from the first movie.
I hated Merlins death. To me, it felt ridiculously contrived. The scene before they step on the mine, they specifically clarified that they had a minesweeper. It just felt incredibly stupid that a mine then gets them. It also continued the trend of killing off all the Kingsmen who are surprisingly weirdly easy to kill. Not a fan of that. That said, the scene is still beautifully shot and Mark Strong delivers one hell of a performance.
I agree roxy was a main character in the first movie Eggsys only friend of the recruits who helped them win the final battle in the end she deserved to be a main character in this one too I honestly would of preferred her as a love interest for eggsy than the princess

I think when it first came out and killed a huge chunk of the cast people liked from the first, people felt bad about it, but on a rewatch I do think this is just the more distilled, fun, wacky and yet hypercompetently and beautifully staged and executed version of the first. I do like it more except for the character stuff.
id recommend watching Corridor crews reaction to the Kingsman fights, they had the guy who did the taxi and the final fight scene with pedro pascals character on there and he tells you in detail how he shot the scenes.

I know it's weird but the thing that bothered me so much for some reason was the fact that when they grinded that man and turned him into a burger, they put him in as a whole with his clothes on and like his body hair and beard and stuff. He doesn't let himself imbibe alcohol, always sniffing him, just rubbing a little bit on his gums and spitting it. It's still a good movie though.

The problem with the alpha gel is they say the gel protects the brain, but in the event of a headshot, there is no brain to protect. The problem is the brain is outside of its original container.
I thought the best part of this movie was Merlin and his death specifically, and yet I hated that he was killed off. Going by their track record though, he might come back in a sequel (maybe like Maul in Clone Wars?). I don't know if I want that or not.

I’ve had a LOT of work done on my teeth throughout my life, so when they cringed at the robot filing down the dude’s teeth, I’m like: “At that point just pay to replace my teeth with implants, because it’s an expensive procedure for most people… and that way I don’t have to worry about my own teeth decaying anymore.”
Strange to think that there were two films released in 2017 that starred Channing Tatum and used 'Country Roads' as a major plot point. I don't think this film is terrible or anything, but it's definitely a step down from the original film for me. I didn't like them anticlimactically killing off most of the original film's characters, most of the new characters felt underused, and I felt the style and tone of this thing was way too over-the-top. Also, I'm going to say that I think Harry should've stayed dead - bringing him back undermines the emotional impact of his death scene, and it also robs the story of a lot of its stakes. That said I did like many of the action scenes, Pedro Pascal and Mark Strong were both great, and Elton John was surprisingly a highlight of the film (and I think this film was a worthy price to pay if we got Rocketman off the back of it)

If pork is safe at 160F I can't imagine human would be different. All the illnesses you could get from eating people aren't affected by heat anyway, those diseases are prion-based, little protein fragments that aren't hurt by heat or chemicals.
