Yeah. Super big fan, became obsessed within two weeks of watching it. Watched it when I was young, didn't remember anything. The sequel was a little werid. Some unnecessary scenes. And why the revival of a character that's dead? Seriously? Nano technology? Nanites? Alpha Gel? Bullshit. What's next? They gonna use Alpha Glue to glue pieces of Merlin back together?
Great detail they put in is merlin's step as he's coming off the mine and that high note is towards the guards, not away from them or trying to dive into the brush to escape the explosion. No, he finishes his serenade and takes one perfect step towards his heroes fate, he neither fears nor dreads his choice, he claims the ground as his own as he declares his sacrifice.
With the way this was filmed, they absolutely would have brought Strong back for a third film. With Harry surviving a straight headshot, and Charlie’s robotic arm, all bets are off in this franchise. 😅
There's pictures for a deleted scene for the wedding that had Merlin in a kilt wearing those 'green screen' socks over his legs that would have his legs being advanced prosthetics. There were apparantly test screenings that showed this alternate ending with Merlin actually crawling into the Diner after the fight with Whiskey, but the screening audiences didn't like this alternate story so we got Merlin's death instead.
Nobody has time to find a rock. The freeze spray gave him just enough time to switch with Eggsy. Even if you found a rock its no guarantee its heavy enough to replace your foot
Adding to the fact they are on the clock with people literally bursting to death, even if they were to put the time in, that's hundreds if not thousands of lives that are gone to save just one. It's a split second for a reason, one death to save many, RIP Merlin. (Great freaking movie though, love this series)
I never liked that argument. “Just find a rock” Do you know how much the average human weighs, let alone Merlin? And the way mines work, a human would be putting their whole weight on that foot.
I dedicate County Roads to my player character in D&D, Kashorn Copperfound, halfling Rogue. I've played him at level 2 for weeks, but I was no longer having fun as my halfling Rogue the week before he died, and I've decided to switch to my Half elf ranger Callon Nobleoak in Tyranny of Dragons for the rest of the campaign. Kashorn was a brave character. He got captured in a raider camp, and when he tried escaping, he tripped alerting the evil Raiders, and many prisoners were getting killed. Kashorn knew he could save the last two prisoners that were left, and he stayed behind to fight against a guard drake! Kashorn was hit twice by the guard drake's tail, and he was dead as his hit points dropped to 0 😱. My other character, Callon Nobleoak, I played as since the time I joined D&D, buried Kashorn after finding his body. The ranger was Kashorn's own mentor. ❤
