    Great pond! It’s a pond shape, and straight forward filtration system that anyone could copy. I have one item of discussion. If this pond was partially covered ( or fully covered with like a 80% mesh), I believe the ultraviolet light could be eliminated. This pond has an ultraviolet light, and still is getting blanket weed.

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      David Miller UV won’t kill blanket weed unfortunately, I wish it could

    What are the walls constructed from? They look thin for curved?
    What are the skimmers called that you use?
    Smart pond 👍

    Tim on the skimmerline would you recommend a sieve before the Eazypod then UV & pump returns to the pond?

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need, it’s not pulling that much anyway. Can add a UV if needed. We have just added a clarity to this pond.

  • @tomtomrst20

    I'm running an eazy pod as main filtration gravity fed. What height should water level be on outlet as I don't have flow meter to gauge turnover

    Wouldn’t you worry that koi might jump out of the pond Nice pond by the way

    • @TimWaddington

  • @jack14kd

    Why run two filters for a pond of that size. Is it just for water quality. Lovely fish n pond

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      lee munslow the Nexus runs the bottom drain. The pod on the skimmer line.

    What’s the preferred way to return water to a pond, some kind of elevation like waterfall/blade or submerged?

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nigel Siviter we use return lines under the water, into the walls.

    • @nigelsiviter1888
      @nigelsiviter1888 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quality Nishikigoi can you get these that adapt to liner fit? And what’s it called?

    Tim how much would a pond this sort of size cost to build by you guys as you mentioned in the video you guys made this one thanks

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Work in between £3/£4 a gallons. We didn’t have to uses skips for the dirt on this pond.

  • @Davidj3
    @Davidj3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    What Do You normal charge for a pond like this, I have customers that what one but they say my price is to high..

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on so many factors mate, it’s impossible to say from one build to the next. Access... disposing of the waste... we quoted one last year that had no access found the sides... block for a 6000 gallon pond through the house... would have took days... then the concrete!! Crane for the filtration.... soil back through the house!
      Many people don’t understand he price of Labour and stuff like skips etc. That’s what shocks most on the quote.

    • @Davidj3
      @Davidj3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes so true customers don't realize the heavy labor, and the many trips back and forth to the hardware stores. I've stoped building for now and i only do pond maintenance.
