I knew a guy in class who was the absolute smartest. He'd win all the competitions, and I'd always place second. Rarely would someone beat him, and if it was anyone, it was me. He was really humble, however. Never bragged or insulted. That was until the other students started feeding his ego and making him have the need the win, and then he would brag and winning became super important to him. Anytime he lost, the class would cheer. I felt really bad for him because that was way too much pressure all because he was smart.

"Life isn't about winning or losing, the journey is just as important as the destination." Very true message! In life, nobody likes to lose, but we all lose sometimes. We may think we've failed everyone and even ourselves, but we also need to realize that all that matters is that we should be proud of ourselves and tried our very best. As it showed in this video, it's not good to be a show-off; it can make everyone else and even ourselves feel bad and crush their self-esteem. Being that way also can be resulted ourselves with no social life; even being left out all the time.

Every child learns at his or her own pace, learning is about the journey not the destination. If you make mistakes it’s okay you can try again and besides intelligence comes in multiple ways.

I find it interesting... someone who is smart thinks that others are stupid...and someone who is dumb is usually bullied or teased by others who seem smart.

My mom always told me “It’s okay to be lazy, but you need to study for more school, plus,I know you wanna be first in the class, but,it’s not important.” She told me this all day,and..that’s okay.

while it doesn't mean she should be rude, she seriously has a point about the class being too easy, if she's that ahead she should definitely skip a grade or go to advanced math
also in something like that competition why would you ever have the worst person go instead of the best person??

So let me get this straight. The teacher wouldn’t let her go to an advanced class that challenges her but instead added a new kid, gave him the answers to teach her a “life long lesson” even though anne could solve a difficult problem in her head and the teacher couldn’t. What is this teaching people 💀-

I like the message this video is sending to us. The fact that this many people act like Annie is 90% of the time always the parent’s fault or something like Annie’s problems of being pushed to the top. Absolutely amazing video and a great message. Thanks, Dhar!
P.S, love how these kinds of videos always put empathy over intelligence.

very problematic for the teacher, annie was indeed rude to make her peers feel dumb but your still encouraging students to do that when that certain malic does the same thing and the teachers purposely put him in for that. this wont stop people being mean
