You can tell she really loved her husband. When a woman talks about her man like she did, you know they had something special. And man that chicken looked so good! What a beautiful lady with a humble heart, keeping the dream of she and her husband alive. May God continue to bless her and blow up her business even more!

Before covid they did an all you can eat buffet on the weekends and had the Eagles game on. It was the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon

From one of the original 10 customers....you will not meet nicer, more genuine people than Doug and Ruth.....and you can feel it in their food. Lots of love put into everything they make. Best fried chicken. The cornbread pudding is amazing. Pulled pork is awesome. They used to have an all you can eat buffet on the weekends which was unbelievable. You could try a little bit of everything all at the same time. Awesome burgers here too. Desserts out of this world. I can remember nights 13 years ago when I was working late past 6pm. I'd roll in there and Doug , Ruth and I would be the only ones in the building. Talking eating drinking sharing stories and building a friendship. Absolutely awesome people. Doug will always be with us all. Amen
I really hope that she gets swamped with customers when your followers see this. She looks like a sweet woman that deserves a boost.
Make it happen JL and get the word out to make this lady's dream keep going and growing!

That's a rare find, you don't see to many BBQ ladies. R.I.P to her husband.🙏 That's great she created a holiday for her husband and creating a Doug out spot. You can't go wrong with fried chicken 🍗. Her fried chicken looks crispy and delicious. Most bbq places don't serve up brisket burnt end sandwiches. Burnt ends are usually in cubes/sauced on their own. For her to put them on a sandwich is good. Usually, most bbq places put the flat cut of the brisket on sandwiches. Ribs look good/ tender. Overall, good review JL.🤙

I've been coming to this place since I moved to Buena Twp, this is amazing!! The food is the best I've ever eaten so much so that I had Henri Hott's cater my wedding. Ruth and her husband, they're truly remarkable individuals.

The fried chicken looks great. It is cooked so well without being dry. In most places, you buy chicken and bite near the bones it is semi-raw or completely raw. This chicken is not raw at all. The owner seems like a genuinely kind lady.

At the end of the day that's all we have to leave on this earth. Our light must shine so bright that people will never forget our shine. He worked hard and built a brand and left a legacy. She clearly miss her husband. The food looks great. Good video JL.

I’ve watched a lot of food shows but I have to say this is one of my favorites. If I ever get to South Jersey I will definitely try this chicken and St. Louis ribs. The story behind this clip was absolutely amazing, my heart goes out to her loss.

Jl I'm at her BBQ spot today 5/27/2022. The Ribs are delicious, the greens, onion rings and hush puppies are good. The hush puppies needed butter. The cornbread is delicious. Great place.
Enjoyed my visit to this establishment where the food is "home cooked" made just like my grandma from louisiana used to make. The fried chicken looks "bizarre good". That thigh would probably send me into orbit. Another reason I like this video is because I was born in camden n.j. in Jan 1958 and haven`t been back there for a long time. God bless all🙂

I respect you even more because it's easy to feel sympathy and not be so honest about the food. I'm driving to Florida in November and going to show some support if time allows.

The corn bread has the right color,looks very moist.the rids cooked and fresh and thick ,the brisket nice fresh and cooked .the chicken looked fresh cooked very well great ingredients to gave the chicken that style.the love understanding heart,lasts her keep the dream alive that her and husband started.

I grew up in Hammonton and lived in Egg Harbor for years. Loved Henri's and was always bummed when I'd forget they were on vacation in January/February after driving over to the restaurant. Really sorry to hear that he passed but glad they're keeping it alive.

Although no words can truly heal the pain of losing someone you love,I know for a fact they care.A loss like this changes a person.Turns your world upside down. Been wanting to go back but unfortunately I’ve been in a situation for almost 4 years where I really can’t get out the house lol. The owner looks like a really down to earth individual and you can see the pain in her eyes. This place is amazing.
That fried chicken you're making me hungry. That macaroni and cheese and the cornbread you can't have a meal like that without the cornbread. The brisket and ribs makes my mouth water. I'll definitely come out for it. I'm a patient man so I'll know the food is worth the wait.
I Missed J L that my place yes Herri was cool good dude they use to have the buffet before covid was outstanding. They had a tuna macaroni salad was outstanding but I haven't seen it since the buffet. Stay safe my brother
