I honestly interested in this reel, the turnsinoya 50XF had too heavy of a spool for me as I primarily throw 1/32 oz jigs for stock trout, i'm experimenting on how to get the 1 oz mini jig into 2 grams without hurting the action. If not, then a the bfs setup would be a perfect drop shot trout rod.
Damn it! I just got the kingdom speed shot sl 150 to try out, it's basically the haibo with better brakes, and now I want this also. Kind of want to see how it preforms though
Ok, for anyone wanting to know the size of the two spool bearings, ie. the bearing inside the side cover, and the bearing on the spool itself, they are as follows; Side cover spool support bearing 3x10x4 Bearing on spool 5x10x4 I can't be bothered tearing it all the way down again at the present moment, so the other bearing sizes will have to wait. That being said, the two spool bearings are the most important to know if its casting ability you're wanting to try to improve. Let it be known that I just cleaned my stock bearings with thinners, then added a single drop at a time with a needle nose applicator, spinning the oil in for a long time until the bearing became silent, but still spinning extremely freely. 3 drops for one, 2 for the other. The bearings are now spinning for a very long time, longer than the brakes will allow the spool to spin, even on zero setting. Looking forward to getting out with it again to see the difference it has made, if any. Will be looking into ceramic hybrid bearings eventually....

I have the lurestar. Its not bad. It has the shimano type clicking drag star where the star itself is keyed to a threaded nut. Casts wel and drag is smooth. I think the xf-50 is the best out of the box but cant cast as light as some of the other reels. Once I get this reel I'll try a part swap with the conical line guide of the c9 air.
I asked the Seller on AliExpress when the next time reel will be available and he said in a couple days. He asked me how I found out about this reel and I mentioned your videos. He can’t keep enough in stock because they just sell out so fast! Lol....great job!

I don't want to be annoying but rather educate but the shaft weight doesn't affect the casting as much as weight around the rim of the spool. So the total weight won't get you an idea of how well that specific spool is for casting, unless the shafts are similar size. (almost like low profile rims for a car vs larger sidewalls) I'm only saying this because the shimano you compared had a long shaft. Great Video though! I love them all.

No, it doesn't have a clicking drag. And yes, the drag consists of two carbon fiber washers. The two I received both had virtually no grease on the gears, so I basically had to service them straight out of the box. Next I'll be trying ceramic hybrid bearings on the spool and side plate to see if I can get a little more distance, but as it stands now, it casts well for what it is

I tear down my reel my before I go to first fishing, after fishing a few time and I will replace all plastic or copper bush to a bearing.(if the reel are using a bush) some reel don't have.

There are many good reels in China, you can also try Lurestar c9 air only weight 154g on the reel, casting 1.5g - 10g lures

I dont know, but I used 4lb line and it holds too much of that. You arent going to be casting those tiny lures that far
