They also censored Maomao’s mother, in the manga you see the gnarly wound where her nose was supposed to be but it was covered by hair during all her scenes.
In my opinion Suirei's plots and actions only make sense if her goal was to eliminate a potential heir to the throne to clear the way for a faction she's supporting to take over through a concubine producing a new heir. This means whoever she's working for knows who Jinshi is.

I think that's a fair censorship. I know I didn't want to see rotting flesh still on her, but they gave enough context that I figured it was there
