Regarding the discussion of games sometimes being emotionally rough to someone who's gone through something similar, I had that happen to me with a medieval adventure game that opened unexpectedly with a scene in which you're trying to save your wife who is bleeding out during childbirth. I went through that with my mom when I was a ten year old kid and my father was away on a trip (fortunately she survived but the baby did not) and yeah that was a rough to deal with and I haven't gone back to the game. On a lighter note, I had a similar love for Speedball 2 and don't hold out much hope for a good remake. Thank you for the video and kicking ass and stuff.
Happy 20 years guys. been a fan from basically the moment i got my own internet in late 2004. Thanks for all the memories "This line, tells you how high your line goes!"
I like that there's somebody self aware on a media platform that knows glesga didnt create everything patter wise. All the best , from an apparent teuchter
Cheers both of you for your hard work and all the heart you pour into this. If you're fielding suggestions, I would love a Rab segment on which Falcom games would be a good starting point to jump into. - there are so many it's just daunting.
Happy New Year! I wouldn't hold out any hopes for Rebellion doing much with Bitmaps IP. They kept the comic 2000AD going so big respect, but they have done little with its amazing characters. They seem more interested in merch, repackaging back catalogue and milking a few mid tier game IP's. We could be living in a world of 2000AD games and films if they had the right creative people handling these properties. If they can't do much with 2000AD I'm not sure there is much hope for Speedball sadly.
Ha! Appreciate the straight response and everything you do. I just want to watch Fort Boyard review on loop is all. In my defense growing up I would be told "We're not here to fuck spiders" when half assing a job I usually didn't want to do in the first place. Happy New Christmas and Merry Year! Thanks for all your hard work entertaining all us spider fuckers for decades.
Hey Rob! Where do you find out when, or even, if a physical switch game is going to come out? Seems barmy being left in limbo, not playing a game you really like the look of, and no idea even if a physical will ever come out. Namely - Dave The Diver
Oh aye. Played SF2 at the now sadly gone arcade in Largs back in the day.Remember the guy was fiddling with the plugs. So I like to think I was one of the first in Scotland to play it. ( might be wrong....maybe the machine was being fixed cos the controls where fucked) Just recall thinking....this is shit! I could for the life of me no get the appeal. There was crowds of people surrounding it but I was like. "aye its ok" but I will stick to ROTJ and indian jones thanks. ( I was a wee lad...bizzarly Mortal kombat at the lazer quest and Caddilacs n dinosaurs at quazar are more Happy memmories tbh)
@@jamescann9152 There's a really good video of the composer sat at his keyboard, explaining how he composed it on the spot with David Lynch sat next to him describing the scene. Really impressive

Who's going to tell me what that music is at the end? During the Gonzo bit.
I think it's from twin peaks
Aye it's Laura Palmer's Theme
Thanks@@neilmoffat - a deeply impactful but of music, that.
