Was listening at work and laughed out loud (lol'd) when Ryan said Moira Stewart. Great episode, loved the Threads chat, hope all the rest of the episodes are as good as this. Sorry it took me so long to get around to watching it (even though I'm a Patron).
This was made for me, born 1984, miracle baby, just like JC, as I was born 3 months early! Awesome new format, awesome still have gaming stuff like before, but complimented with new retro stuff. Lovely chat, funny deadpan humour, cool format and decor etc. LOVE IT.
Lovely episode! Love the show. I have never heard anyone call screens for “sheets” before, so I feel like I learned a lot today and learning something new is one of the greatest feelings about TH-cam. I watch a lot of TH-cam and the most common thing I learn is that other people are wrong, so it was just lovely to learn something that was objectively useful and new.
A mate of mine still cannot watch the music video for Land of Confusion, because as a child after being exposed to it she had hideous nightmares about the three puppets..
Pretty sure yous showed God Hand on consolevania and its now* one of my favourite games of all time. God bless ye both, and everybody behind the scenes.
When you read out who died that year and you got to Tommy Cooper. I remember that. He died live on stage, and it was live on tv too. I did think at the time that it was part of the act. But my dad said Stop son! Something not right here. Great ace awesome show by the way. Can't wait to see more.
Looking forward to when we get to the early 90s with the birth of VideoGaiden. The "fuck 'em in the eye!" episode my mate recorded on VHS at the time got worn down we watched it so much. Good times.
Bruce Lee on the Atari 800 was also awesome. I'm surprised you haven't completed it, Rab. It's actually quite a short game. You forgot to mention there's a 2 player option (at least there was on Atari) where one of you play Big Yamo. Me and mate Joe played this, International Karate, (Atari didn't get IK+ :( ) Wizard Of Wor and Archon II constantly for entire summers.
I had Bruce Lee on the IBM my mum had on loan to do her doctorate on. Big 5 1/4" floppies. Was pretty good! Had that, Psi5 Trading company and Dam Busters
"...was assassinated on the street in New York"🤔 "He was in The Beatles" 🤔 "He was married to Yoko Ono"🤔 "He slapped about his first wife" ☝"John Lennon"
Guft need to pull funding the Game came out in 1985! This is not the industrious full fact reportage we expect from a class company like Guft who were not involved in the Iran Contra affair nor were they accused of creating the one section of pipe that burst on Deepwater Horizon... The people need to know Guft are better than this... Great work guys.
Rab's snort when Ryan replied "Moira Stuart" haha. Edit: Also, doesn't the Giant Haystacks dubbed voice sound suspiciously like Ringo doing a Yorkshire accent?
Great step up in production values - though I would lke to see more full screen game footage with the guys reviewing it, maybe a bit less reading articles from Smash Hits magazine x Much love x
Ryan’s looking classy as fuck here. Ed: I had Tir Na Nog on the Amstrad. Probably didn’t even get as far as you did with it. Sure it was only on a cover tape for Amstrad Action though.
the best thing about bruce lee on the c64 was whenever one of the lasers (were they lasers?) got you the death animation and sound was akin to a fart noise and bruce lee standing straight and looking really embarassed, as in about 5:09 in this video th-cam.com/video/jHzW7T-bwBc/w-d-xo.html
Alright I've actually watched it now. Lovely production values, a few jokes oh aye. I have a haunting Spitting Image story to share. I must have been about 7 or something, digging around for a tape I can use to record something from TV. Pop one in the VCR to see what's on it. I'm presented with a tracking-core frozen face of a Spitting Image Trevor McDonald. Having had no knowledge or exposure to Spitting Image up to this point I was truly spooked.
I'm fucking sick of this shite. All my favourite channels are selling out. If I wanted these fancy production values I would watch the ign network with their custom video codecs. Nah, what I want is 40 minutes of out of sync audio and video. I want to feel like I've had a stroke, or that I'm about to. I want to feel the pure mundanity of content creation, not this sweetened shite.

A show that brings the old BBC2 Late Review format kicking and screaming in to the 2020's - Truly Remarkable
“Fuckin big target” is the funniest line in CV history.
Lovely episode! Love the show.

This is the funniest video games show! Delighted I found it. Thanks guys.
Funniest podcast I’ve seen in a long time. Brilliant boys - chemistry unreal between you.
A mate of mine still cannot watch the music video for Land of Confusion, because as a child after being exposed to it she had hideous nightmares about the three puppets..
Incredible. Thanks lads, this made me very happy.
Gentlemen, thank you. This significantly improved my day. Hilarious.
Wimpy is very much still alive. There are branches in Kilmarnock, Dingwall and Fraserburgh, serving substantial portions of existential nausea.
unreal work boys. this is so good
Amazing. I've struck gold!
Love it. I want three of these a week, cheers.
Great job lads! Loved it.
Pretty sure yous showed God Hand on consolevania and its now* one of my favourite games of all time. God bless ye both, and everybody behind the scenes.
Aye that was great. Those at the top of Consolevania towers will be pleased.
More like 'at the tip', if memory serves...
@@Tribimat Never visit him boys .... never visit him
It’s been weeks and I”m still laughing at Ryan going to see ET in the toilet.

About time my Patreon money went towards beard dye for Rab.
Fantastic and hilarious. Thanks guys!
The phone cradle is a power move, this was amazing hahaha
Just yesterday I was making a playlist of spectrum games I used to play. Pretty fun seeing some of those games get mentioned here too. Cheers lads
The bit with Ry's spitting image dream is perfect TikTok fodder.

Great ace awesome show by the way. Can't wait to see more.
I too, a non-David Icke fan, thoroughly enjoyed this episode of CVXX.
I abso loved this.
incredible work, boys
Nearly pished masel at that f'ing big target line!. Brilliant lads. Wimpy still exists by the way, there's 66 left, 3 in Scotland.
Just wonderful
Going back a bit, I remember Consolevania XXX that was a good episode.
Looking forward to when we get to the early 90s with the birth of VideoGaiden. The "fuck 'em in the eye!" episode my mate recorded on VHS at the time got worn down we watched it so much. Good times.
Loving the new format!
I'm getting a very The Adam Friedland Show vibe from the studio set up.
this is a banger
Tbt ... playing bard's tale on the speccy while playing Queen greatist hits I on the tape player. "Down in the dungeon, the creatures and me"

How much to the patreon to get Ryan to iron his trousers?
£100,000.
Buckled at Ryan's "Moira Stuart". Fuck me.
"...was assassinated on the street in New York"🤔
"He was in The Beatles" 🤔
"He was married to Yoko Ono"🤔
"He slapped about his first wife"
☝"John Lennon"
BTW Sheffield was the centre of steel production in the UK.
The good auld days before chinesium shit appeared.
I enjoyed this more than I expected to, never heard of some of that stuff(but my friend swears on Streets of Fire as the bible).
Let's stay in '84, lads 💪🏻

"ET - The Escapeproof Toilet"
Rab's snort when Ryan replied "Moira Stuart" haha. Edit: Also, doesn't the Giant Haystacks dubbed voice sound suspiciously like Ringo doing a Yorkshire accent?
Sheffield fact. More steel is produced in sheffield now than in the 80s. But it employs about 12 people
Ryan looking shockingly presentable. What did you do to the real one?
Great step up in production values - though I would lke to see more full screen game footage with the guys reviewing it, maybe a bit less reading articles from Smash Hits magazine x
Much love x
Ryan’s looking classy as fuck here.

Like Clive Sinclair.
I had Tir Na Nog on the Amstrad too, couldn't work out what the fuck I was supposed to be doing though
Premier content.
Also, "Sheets"
Bois. This is mint.

This has legs.
Ryan scrubs up well.

Clip the broad street rant
