This MidSize SUV is better than the 2024 Nissan Murano Platinum because the 2024 did not have power folding mirrors but now the 2025 Nissan Murano Platinum has power folding mirrors
@@MukisaSS knock on wood it has not. It is a 2017. I have only put in like 60k miles on it. Outside of people rear ending my car just the normal wear and tear. Although I have had to replace the battery far more often than needed.
The Nissan Murano is a pretty cool crossover! It's known for its stylish design and comfy interior. Plus, it has some great tech features and a smooth ride.
I’ve always viewed the Murano as a budget Lexus RX, and this new one looks nice. Only thing is that nice 3.5L V6 is gone, but at least it’s a 9 speed auto and not the CVT so maybe that helps reliability a little? Either way, still a striking car inside and outside.
The engine says it isn’t. Nothing luxurious about a 4-cylinder no matter who makes it. That said there is now no point in buying any Infiniti now. This looks amazing.
I own a 2015 Murano, and I've been waiting for this 🙌 I must say I was hoping for a better tech and safety package. I will continue to watch and wait for more videos.
We knew the VC turbo-4 was coming, sigh. Earlier this year, I grabbed a new 2024 Murano SL, to get the smooth, trusty, and nice-sounding V6. Going down the road, it feels hushed and sturdy. It is comfy and almost plush inside. I joke that the interior switchgear (ancient-looking but tactilely satisfying) feels straight out of a 2014 Infiniti, and that's not a bad thing. We love it. The 2025 version looks great, very much stepping on Infiniti's toes with the design.
@@samosei8412 The feel of the CVT is one of the better qualities. No gears stumbling for the right ratio in traffic, no lurches or thumps or clunks as is found with fixed ratios. Not worried about durability, either....this generation has been in production a long time, kinks worked out.
That interior....WOW!! Looks nothing like anything else on the market, makes Toyota and Honda look like Fisher Price. Very art deco and modern, nothing overdone or tacky. Well done.
Chinese giants change the game in the market .. this interior looks wow do you know why ? because Chinese rivals EXCEED RX ,, CHANGAN UNI K ,,HAVAL 6GT ,, LYNKCO 01 Louder Pro .. That front grille design and blending with light is amazing 💯👍 A digital rear view mirror accessory option will be a great addition too... It's a nice design!
@@musaadedibu9316 Don't agree. The headlights and black band spoil it. Tucson looks much better from the front. This looks better from the rear though.
17:20 The current Murano offers reclining rear seats so I don't understand why they'd eliminate that in the new generation. Maybe they changed the method you use to recline it but hopefully it's still there as an option to increase second row comfort
It’s rumored that the new QX65 will be based off this new Murano. I’m sure it’ll come AWD standard and with a more powerful powertrain. Most likely even hybrid option upon debut.
First, gorgeous design, inside and out. Looks very aerodynamic. I wonder what would be the coefficient of drag. Second, thanks Nissan for not following the required DRL up, low/high beams down design. Third, I’m happy to see that Nissan is getting out of the Calvary Carlos Gosh put them through. They will become one of the three leaders of Japan like it was in 80’s and 90’s.
If the second row can't recline, this is not the SUV for me and I am mad I waited for it. One of the features I loved with my 2018 Nissan Murano, it helped out a ton since I have two young children with car seats. I am really upset with Nissan for removing this feature since all of the other Japanese Car Makers SUVs still have it!
YES! YES! YES! The CVT would’ve been the deal breaker for me! Now if they could put a proper tranny in the Sentra and engine. Unfortunately,I believe the Altima will be no more?☹️
Not sure about the design of the wheels but everything else looks really good. The plastics utilized are of a high quality it appears. I still am not a fan of those giant horizontal screen but they did put a cover over the drivers side portion to cut down on glare which is far better than what we see on most other car brands. I’m surprised Nissan didn’t just make this the Infinity QX50 because this is definitely a luxury level vehicle inside and out. That said I just can’t see myself purchasing a 4 cylinder vehicle. I personally would rather go EV than to go to a 4 cylinder turbo the extra torque and likely sound deadening will not disguise the “buzzy” feel of a 4 cylinder engine. Either way this looks like a big win for Nissan and is likely to make a much larger impact on the Nissan and Infinity brands than the QX80.
This beats the Hondas and the Toyotas now, Nissan always manufactured more stylish vehicles than those guys but now with the cvt gone it’s a better buy than Toyota crown or Honda pilot
You can’t lose with the Murano The 2023 drove nice , solid suv, I’m looking forward to the 2025. The nose sound systems on a Nissan is great. Wonder if it has dual pane windows?
I have 2015 Murano and was waiting for the redesign. I have to be honest I prefer the previous design 100% so I hope mine stays in working order for long time.
This looks so much better than the RAV4 and CRV. It lines up with the Crown Signia. Would love to see a head-to-head comparison of the Murano against the Crown Signia in a future video.
That motor has as much power/torque as my BMW X3. Impressive specs. Although I'll take the ZF 8 speed (primary rear drive with X drive) over the ZF 9 speed (primary FWD ) system. BTW it requires premium like the BMW as well. Or at least it recommended which means you better use it.
A very attractive car. Hampered by the lack of a hybrid powertrain, which means double the fuel cost. Here in California, gas is 5$ a gallon, and it matters very much. that's why Toyota isn't worried.
I feel like the volume button was an afterthought and should have been integrated into the panel somehow. As well as the outdated buttons to the left of the steering wheel on the dash. They are missing the mark for the back seat accommodations as well. Back seats passengers should have their own climate control console. I mean this is their best trim for this model.
Thanks for the thorough review! After owning a 1st and 2nd Gen + the convertible, I didn't care for the outgoing one. But this one looks promising. Just hate that they reduced the hp! With all the tech on the market, which they've thrown so much in to this, they omitted seemingly the best part; performance! As cool as this one looks now, it needs at least 300hp! Can be all resolved with a NISMO variant!
IMO a big mistake was incorporating the seat heating and ventilation controls within the touch screen functionality. When you were showing the functionality it seemed way more complicated to turn on/off or adjust the temp versus conventional buttons.
Definitely an improvement over our previous 2021 Infiniti QX50 Sensory. The steering wheel, dashboard infotainment, and haptic buttons in the Murano are just like those in my new 2024 Nissan Ariya Platinum+ AWD. The wheels even resembles a larger version of the one in the new Leaf.
Great video awesome information I'm personally not impressed by the design decision. The interior doesn't look like it's very cohesive in my opinion Hyundai Santa Fe and the Mitsubishi outlander looks better inside.
This looks great! I've always thought Nissans were cool because they're kinda the closest thing to having French cars here (in terms of innovative design at a low price - and the Nissan-Renault alliance). This is the latest in that. And interestingly that front end recalls the Ferrari 12 Cylinder - with the black acrylic bar across the front. An interesting pair of cars to follow a similar vibe. And, the Murano, for those of us old enough to remember, really was one of the very first true "crossover" cars - an SUV purely meant for the streets, with big wheels, a style focus, and a more carlike character.
First thought when I saw this, was how similar it looks to an equinox ev in the front. I also seem similarities with a Hyundai Tuscon, having the running lights and signals blend in with the grill. From the side it looks like a blown up Lexus NX. The current generation of it and a little bit of qx60 vibes too. It has a very premium look from a lot of different vehicles. If u cover up the logos on this, I would assume it was made by a different brand. Nissan definitely put their foot in this. Interior is a step above the weight class, and unlike other Nissans, this has a unique interior design and doesn’t seem cheap at all.

Nissan still uses halogen lights. Incredible. In the cargo area
not having a sensor behind the door handle for smart entry and partial hubcaps seems odd for the price
So did Ferrari get the inspiration for F80 and 12C from the Daytona or from this.
When should we expect the 2025 pathfinder?
What the heck are the wheels made of? He says aluminum with an “aero cover”. Is that a hubcap?
Isn't it the same engine that qx50,55 have?
Very KIA/Hyundai inspired inside and out. Nice looking vehicle for sure!
so who is better? mitsubishi or nissan? I rarely see either one on the roads????
No hybrid version?
The split light/grille looks so wrong.. the rest is not bad. Still think the last gen facelift model look the best despite its age
we should do this comparison against the passport and the crown signia
Because the roof slopes and the side belt line swoops up, I thought this was a coupe suv from the front from a certain angle.
