I really like the subtle things the anime includes. If you look at Naofumi's HUD at 1:20, you will notice that some of the text is garbled at the lower left corner.

im sure youve read the novels, can you explain why a lot of people are saying the story in the novels are inconsistent? wihtout giving away major spoilers
@@Ok12343 It's not so much that the novels are inconsistent it's that the anime likes to jump ahead or cut stuff out, take the end of season 1 for instance, that whole Naofumi getting the village thing isn't supposed to happen till AFTER the spirit tortoise arc.
Other than that it basically all boils down to what the people on the studio want for the season really, Cal mira was supposed to be longer by far, we were actually supposed to have a training arc BEFORE the spirit tortoise appears etc.
Without giving away spoilers it's fair to say the anime is the more watered down version of the story so far.

For everyone reading the novel: I’ve heard rumors that the story is getting really worse because the author simply made a bad and unbalanced story. Could anyone WITHOUT spoilers explain to me why everyone is saying those things? And whats ur opinion and what can I expect this season?
Story goes worse and worse because Yusagi (the author) isn't really good writter and she was forced to write new books with insane speed and because of that she didn't have time to think much about the plot and it will be either unbearably slow or too fast to be invested in. Don't worry about this season tho, turtle arc (anime is here) and the next one (probably will be covered in the second half of this season or in third season) are alright and have some really good moments, but quality will start dropping after that.

@@Ok12343 I think company wanted to sell as much books as possible while there was still hype, they give her more time now when sells are dropped, but I think at this point Yusagi herself is tired of the shield (22 books already) and want to work on her other titles. Don't worry about Filo and Raphtalia, they are still mains and Raphtalia slowly (VERY SLOWLY) develops her romance with Nao.
