Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear, and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero.
Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world.
But will he really find a way to overturn this desperate situation?

That was incredible, you can see the quality of the animation, very different from the previous season and it gets more and more interesting and Rathalia has really shined and Sadeena, what a great woman, she is a great onee san.

It's obvious that Crunchyroll loves our adorable raccoon girl when they release her own video so quickly and that makes me happy. Raphtalia, in addition to being tender and kind, she's a goddess of war who has now even mastered electricity and delighted us with a fantastic fight. She, at least for me, is the soul of Tate no Yuusha. I am proud to see her now and remember that She started out afraid of holding a knife, but decided to fight to prevent more children from suffering what she did as a child, while fighting with the Shield Hero. In conclusion, Raphtalia my religion🙏🏻, I have supported her since 2019 and I always will, greetings from Mexico.😊👋🏻❤️🗡️

Season 3 seems very good i still don't understand why they ruined season 2
production committee seemingly wanted to progress too much.
To their defense, they tried to cram too many volumes to 12 episodes. They went with the idea of Naofumi finding a reason to stay in the new world rather than focusing on his development. Naofumi does not want to stay in the new world, he only begins to question himself late in the novels (thinking 20 -22)

i really wanna know what happened to make them downgrade the animation in season 2 then have season 3 have even better animation than season 1
Studio was busy with Made in Abyss s2 (priority project) and Cardfight Vanguard, so they weren't able to shield hero justice. Now Shield Hero is the priority and it shows. Also there's been changes for much of the core staff.
