- Peglin Part 78 - the sizes of your balls don't matter as long as you give 'em the shaft. It's my first time trying out the newest update, looks like there's still a lot to uncover, and it adds up to a cool run! Enjoy.

Fun fact about transpherency, if you stack more than 10 stacks it becomes a lens and deals more damage to enemies behind the first hit
But what if you end up stacking too high and end up killing everyone behind the targeted enemy, but not the enemy themselves 🤔
Very nice, but how often will this come into play? Figure you'll have defeated the enemy long before you stack up that much transpherency 🔎

25:40 It's a bug that has already been fixed. They changed black holes to still count as navigation based on their position on the field, and if a black hole is in the middle it's counted as random navigation, and an unexpected consequence (bug) of that was that if you fall into fire it mistakenly considered it random navigation

The 15% on the hat is so much nicer than it used to be. Used to be a flat 10 hp, which when you have the relic that halves your max hp is great, but the further you get above 100 hp, the worse that 10 healing got. I welcome that change
i guess, but if you've got a pile of extra hp you don't really need the healing
when you have the relic that halves you hp you wont need any other source of healing lol, it gives 1 healing per 5 pegs. 100 coins is already at least 20 healing, probably more
@v1vamort true, I was just giving an example of a situation where the flat 10 healing was technically more "efficient" than the 15% the relic has now, even though in actuality you wouldn't need the hat if you have that relic.

navigating in the fire is from the latest patch where they took out collecting coins into the black holes, although i'm not aure why it happens on the misnav spot on black hole maps since the patch notes don't address it:
"The navigation orb falling into a black hole now makes you navigate to the left or right, depending on where the black hole is. If the black hole is in the middle of the board, then the navigation direction is random. This is to discourage the optimal, yet tedious, task of hitting one gold peg then bouncing into a black hole over and over during navigation."
my guess is that it's the dodging, since he's not taking any damage from misnav, the game might be assuming he's shooting into a black hole. why it assumes that, uhhh.....
1.05 bugfix says "Fixed misnavigation into fire pits in black hole maps causing random navigation"

That's huge actually. I always try to remember, 13 gold x4 is 52, so if you can hit more than a dozen gold pegs after battles then it pays itself off. But adding bombs into that is even more!
if you have gunpowder and hit the 5x bomb secret relic during treasure navigation, thats 100 bonus coins :D

I had a ballusion run the other day, where I

Had a relic that allowed me to stack up to 999 ballusion, as well as a relic that gave me ballusion on discarding an orb (gaining the amount of crit damage that the orb would do), and an orb that was able to be upgraded indefinitely. Plus the "no damage on reloads" relic, and the double discard relic.
I only had three orbs; the infinitely upgradeable one (that got up to level 32 I think), and 2 of the evasive maneuvorbs. It was really fun.

I’m thinking about how the squirrel relic might be changed, for example by giving it a 5 or 10 use limit per fight, that way it could be permanent but also limited per fight

Spinpoint + Critikris is a huge combo. The first crit you hit does 42 damage to all enemies, plus another 18 for each point of Spinesse. Very strong

25:41 I’m pretty sure that’s a bug from the recent black hole changes. They changed it so entering a black hole during navigation would force you into that navigation (left for left black holes, right for right black holes, and random for central black holes). It seems like they just made it occur after every navigation shot instead by mistake.

fun fact: navigation inflation actually synergizes with reuse refuse recycle and gives 20 coins per bomb exploded during navigation, if you open a chest's bombs it would be 100 coins, which as you may expect, is kinda broken if obtained relatively early

I just realized there's 2 Aliensrock relics in this game lol There's the normal "Alien's Rock" that makes targeted attacks do splash damage, but there's a secret one "Aliensrock" that makes targeted attacks damage all enemies! I think some custom challenge runs could be fun to see some time

Insurance ballicy
If the orb exits the pegboard with less damage than the previous shot's damage, it teleports back to the top once (similar to jack-orb-lantern)

25:43 a bug related to the change in 1.04 where black holes will now make you navigate based on what side they are also applying to fire pits on boards with black holes. this has already been fixed in 1.05

I feel like Tyler forgot that he had a relic that gave him a ton of Ballusion whenever he discarded an orb (which scaled with Spinesse!). It looks like he remembered near the end of the run, but he just kinda glossed over his strongest synergy piece.
So glad to see that ballad now gives spinese even when you don't hit anything (having 0 damage) I used to try and make it work but I'd end up taking something that reduced the damage to 0 and then never get any buffs from it
I have like 10-20 games on my wishlist from being you play them
Peglin is really fun untill cruciball 15+ i've been pulling my hair out because its so frustrating
If you don't like luck based games, don't get Peglin. Strategy can only go so far. A lot of deaths don't feel earned.

navigation flation and the golden bomb relic stack multiplicatively for some reason, so bombs hit while navigating will give 20 gold. don't know why, but it works that way :P

The 3 Concealment Dodge Crit build in Peglin.
Ive had squirrel run out of uses once, I had several things happen to have an orb get stuck and continue bouncing on unbreaking orbs, triggered about 70 times and did about 50k damage.
If it had infinite uses I would have been soft locked.
I hope he finds the Alien's Rock relic soon and finds out what unlocks for custom runs exclusively after the run that he gets it ends

The bombs giving +5 gold does not synergize with the haglin hood unfortunately, after watching closely. Hope they add an interaction in the future, especially if you could make red bombs heal with enough bomb refreshing!

I think I figured out the bug. When you hit the fire it applies the damage and resets the orb, you skip the damage and then the game applies the path choice.
