11:00 at night I'm sitting on the toilet watching your video. Amazon backup alarm goes off and my dogs thinks he's here and start going crazy and woke my wife up. She didn't find it as funny as I did. 😂😂😂😂
Awesome video, I’m a plumber in Indiana and some times I see block layers but I have never seen them use vertical rebar only wire mesh is this method a regional code .
In this video I started laying at 12:30 and stopped at 7. I laid 108 block. That was about 16 an hour- so around 130 a day. That was with a level so it was slower. When I run walls I can lay a lot more than that
@@masonthemason6412 Wow. We're building soon and have about 900 to lay for our crawl space....debating to do it myself (no experience) or hire it out. Probably decide after I get a couple of prices.
With no experience that's hard. It took me awhile to get the hang of spreading the mud. I will take a video of the Jake's spreading to give you an idea of what it looks like starting out. It also takes time to figure out how to set the blocks. It would be a fantastic learning experience though. It's not too big and shouldn't take too long, even with no experience
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. 🙏 You rock man! How accurate are those audible beeping levels that you use? I used to use visual transit and levels that were incredibly accurate and I've always wondered about the audible ones with the targets.
Solid workmanship. Appreciate the info, but id like to point out the title says how to lay block corners, but most of the video goes over straight leads. Im looking to learn techniques so the info is helpful nonetheless, thank you.
Hey young fellas. Just wondering if you mix your own mortar and what ratio you are using (3 parts sand 1 part Portland cement?). If you mix your own, what kind of sand are you using? Thanks for the tips in the video. I want to build a greenhouse foundation with 10" block (7 high about 100').
When you insert the rebar in the old foundation and lay a block over it in the new foundation, do you need to fill in the block all around the rebar with mortar or concrete to grip the rebar? Or what is it that keeps the new foundation from separating laterally from the old one?
@@masonthemason6412 thanks! Gotta tie in a 8" block wall to the foundation for a bulkhead. Had one of those nasty old steel ones that rotted out. Had no foundation
Ok, I finally figured out what you meant haha. Skip lead, just put up outside corner, string on existing foundation. That would of been way easier. Thanks for that tip! That's great to know for next time
@@masonthemason6412 i always like to string end to end. Most of the time I use line blocks just in case there is a tail in the corner end to end you can work it out better on top course
You might be faster. There’s no way you could be more accurate with heights and measurements. We could have the same quality, you might get the job done faster
What I’m saying is my measurements are perfect. You couldn’t get them closer, it’s impossible. What I’m saying is you could be just as good with quality as me. The only thing you might have on me is speed
You guys hiring? Great skill to learn. Learn a trade. Great work guys.

Nice video, I would like to see how in detail how you do the crawl space entrance.
Thank you. I talk about it a little bit in the next video. I didn't get a video of the lentils getting set. I'll try my best to explain it

Block not tied into footer with rebar?

Yeah we fill it with concrete when we core pour
Excellent production. But, explain what you are saying. What is a "bond mark"? What is "staying on bond"? Etcetera.
What’s the advantage of doing this with block vs stemwalls with concrete?
