- In this episode we attend the Appalachian Toyota Roundup at Windrock Offroad Park in eastern Tennessee. This was our first time at this offroad event and Windrock Park but certainly won't be our last.

I have a question for you guys about buying a 4runner. I am not so sure which should I buy the TRD off road or the TRD Pro. Can you guys tips or suggestions.
About the
only advice we can give:
The Pro comes with a great suspension, but if you plan to upgrade to a higher lift and
better components, don't waste your money, buy the Offroad.

Great footage. I’m a Nissan guy but the Yotas are great vehicles. I had a 22r 87 4x4. It was a fantastic truck with a 5 speed. I’ve been to Windrock but it was with ATVs and almost 20yrs ago. I may have to make another trip after seeing this footage but in my 2018 Fronty Pro4x this time. Take care!

having lived less than 20 miles from windrock for the better part of 15 years now I can tell you most Appalachian is pronounced with a long A by most locals I have met... but those with a strong accent are more inclined to use the at sound... so your pronunciation is fine. :)
oh and next time you are in the neighborhood, give me a shout... we can hit nemo and a couple other back roads round here.

Any trails there for a pretty stock 07 FJ without running boards or rock guards? Some cheap 265 AT 17" tires, Manual trans with A-Track and Rear Locker. I don't like huge rocks due to damage.
Absolutely! There is a large number of stock FJs and 4Runners that attend and have fun on the trails.
Great video. Glad your experience was good. Been coming to the event since the beginning and can't say enough about it, the park or the area. Was great to meet you even though it was on your way out at the gas station. See you next Labor Day weekend.

Thanks for the led interior swap out video it helped me switch out mine. Still managed to break a couple clips as well as the two front dome lights which were a pain in ass to get out. It was easier though after that since I was able to pull them out by the wires without shorting out anything.😅

WoooHooo Merri, No longer just a co-pilot.. Your 5th gen looked good out there guys, Do you think it would have been easier/better with your FJ ?
The FJ would have been a little better then the 4R due to its MT tires, shorter approach and depart angles, and slightly shorter wheelbase. The 4Runner pleasantly surprised us though!
@@WanderlostOverland That's exactly what I thought. Just the shorter wheelbase is what I was going for. Not thinking about the difference in approach and departure angles 👍😎
Either way, it was a testament to Toyota's machines. Not only to take you there, to have a good time, but to bring you back in one piece.
