Oh wow that's amaizing, I also have just installed diy microlocs, I have about 1000 locs, I am also a new youtuber and I like watching fellow channels with same microlocs journey. This is great content, I love it.
not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on Instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my gf for the last days :)
This is so awesome! My mom agreed to install my diy microlocs and she started this past Sunday lol, so far I have 200 something. I'm so excited to see it finished
Your hair looks great. Can you please answer this question for me? I was working on my own hair and doing micros, but my husband was diagnosed and I took them out. I had a young lady do my hair and she “said” they would be micros. The parts are beautiful!! I asked her to add spring twist hair to it to give it a little length. She gave me a cute style, but these are simply spring twist and in no way are they micros. They are also slipping after two weeks. Can I divide these at the parts and do the micros? I had been doing the interlocking method prior to taking them down and having this young lady do them
Prettttyyyyy! Congratulations Sister Queens! I am a new you tuber as well on My #microlocs #interlocs installation #diylocs and I applaud You both on a job well done!
Looks beautiful! But me personally would've twisted down more. Or braided the ends. I'm researching...but I hope to either find a excellent trainee or DIY also!
Thanks. I actually braided the ends on a portion of them but braids do not lock the same as twist, the braid pattern usually takes way longer to go away which causes the loc to be inconsistent thickness with the twist, so I dont recommend it. I try to unravel the ends of the ones I braided and just twist it back now.
Lovely! I have micro braids not locing and not that small but recently found out they can be starter locs so intrigued by vids. Will you be able to re ighten each one 😩 please say there is another way...
My mom started hers with micro locs. What I often hear is that they take longer to loc and the pattern to go away... I get mine retightened professionally every 6-8 weeks.
@@FancyJ Thanks for replying appreciated. Thanks for the tip so many different methods im learning lots but would never loc im too much of a chameleon. I hope you and your Mum are enjoying you locs, our hair takes work any which way we style it but its a joy to have such versatile afro hair. Have a good weekend.
I used to do micro mini braids for like the last 3 years & then in 2021 took them out , 2022 micro tiny mini braids I’m not taking them out so micro locs it is , when they are not in micro mini my hair is in a ponytail and that hurts & I got so tired of wearing a ponytail
Hie Anna Just following up on this comment coz I also started with rope twists this weekend and after seeing your comment Im getting worried. Any signs of twists locing yet?
I think a clean grid is best to start with, altho as it matures it wont always stay perfect. but it comes in handy when you do styles and need a clean part.
You wanna blow it out so its a more even loc/twist. Easier to manage overall if hair is detangled before hand. easier to part and make a perfect grid, etc.

so is it just a 2 strand twist? what goes on the ends?...super cute tho
yup, just tiny twists. nothing goes on the ends, but i did braid a few of them at the tips. not much tho

Did you rope twist or normal twist. I started with rope twists since it looks neater but now I'm wondering if it's gonna loc up....
I'm not familiar with "rope twist" but I started with two-strand twist
Hie Anna Just following up on this comment coz I also started with rope twists this weekend and after seeing your comment Im getting worried. Any signs of twists locing yet?
@@tanakatanie1594 I got lazy and gave up..... but I feel like regardless, it would still loc maybe it would take a little longer though, I'm not sure.
Do you start at the back first?
My mom started in the back and I did the front
Do you think it makes a difference wether the blocks are completely straight or if they're staggered?

What state do y'all live in? I need y'all to do mine.
Gorgeous hair!
Love them
Thank you!
Love it!!!!
Great 👍🏽 job
How long did you wait to wet your hair?
About 7-8 weeks
Did you use any products? Also why did you blowout your hair before hand?
You wanna blow it out so its a more even loc/twist. Easier to manage overall if hair is detangled before hand. easier to part and make a perfect grid, etc.
What is the prep for this like? Your hair seems to be stretched. Was this done on blow dried hair?
Yes, I detangled and blow dried it first.
🖤
Hmmm Diy = do it yourself? I'm lost
Yes, do it yourself microlocs :)
