    I planned mine out almost a month in advance. I installed 15 Jumbo knotless braids for the Beyoncé concert & left for 2 weeks. I washed my hair inside the braids the day before I got ready to install. Labor day weekend came and I worked braid by braid until I finally finished...2 days & a half with 220. I'm so pleased & cant wait for them to start maturing❤

      I’m about to start my 8yr old’s and she dreads sitting. This is a great idea. I’m gonna put braids in tonight after her wash start her locs in the middle. When she gets tired she can pull them in a ponytail.

      @@SassShea I don't have the patience to count, but I took your idea and she was so happy that she didn't have to sit. I did large braids, but put them in bantu knots. Each day I took out a row and after I twisted I put it back in a knot. It took us about 3 days. I braided a little at the top and did 2 strand twist. So far, she's loving them. Mostly because of the parting she is able to still style it like she could when it was loose. Now im hating because my locs are as versatile.

    You did a great job with this whole video very detailed. I install microlocs as well and I cannot stress enough the importance of density to clients. I agree with so many points and tips you stated. I started teaching classes to make sure a client understands what’s going on and I find that helps them out alot. Glad to see another great Loctician at top of her skills keep going it’s only up from here. Beautiful work Loc Queen ❤

    Girl it is protective season over here!! I decided to do mini twists this year & I followed your grid idea. It was definitely a game changer!! I found myself working faster & counting down the boxes. It took me 4 evenings doing my hair for 2-3hours each evening to finish my whole head. I plan on leaving the twists in until after New Year's. Washing & re-twisting as needed. I did my twists the last week of Oct 2023, looking forward to ringing the New Year with my mini twists!! Thank you for the great videos

    This is my first time hearing of this technique. I don’t recall seeing a video for sister locs, but I have been two-strand twisting my hair since 2006! It’s my go-to for the summer. 👍🏽 I’m really interested in seeing the results as it grows, because what I’m picturing, is two different textures from the beginning stage until it grows out…

    • @ShardelHaden

    Hello. I am a beginner and want to become a professional microloc consultant. I have one client so far and I’m interested to know what we should do after installation once two strand twists unravel at the ends? My client has low density hair and I used the interlock method at the base to secure the locs. Should we leave the ends as they are and let them mature over time or should I continue to twist when it’s time for a retie, or should I try interlocking from the ends back up?

    Question! Is it healthy to get the extension length and grow out your hair with that installed? I wanted to venture into sister locs but I don’t have the length I’m hoping to achieve yet (16inch).

    • @ShardelHaden
      @ShardelHaden  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it is as healthy as you taking care of your hair daily. So the hair that is added via extension is human hair, though it is not growing from your scalp. It still requires hydration and daily care to make sure everything is growing and locking in a healthy manner.

    As your going up the rows how do you know that they are the same width as the row below it?

    • @ShardelHaden
      @ShardelHaden  ปีที่แล้ว

      By matching the box size below it. However they are sized depending on the density of the hair location on the head

    Ugh I love and hate this so much!! The size and grid looks perfect... I'm trying to do this but I think my hair is really thin? I do t have nearly as many locs I have maybe 18 on my left bottom section I have 6 or 7 more sections.. I'm gonna be sad if they are too big down the road I will literally cry 😅😂😂 but you did a creator job
