I’m a new subscriber. I’m considering to have my fine low porosity hair loc’ed. I’m very impressed with your content. Your hair has progressed so nicely. Keep up the good work.
I’ve been researching micolocks and I have come across an issue that I had not not previously, and it’s concerning to me - odors. Have you ever had to deal with this? How can you prevent your locks from having an odors.
Hi, I’ve been loc’d 4 years and I’m always told my hair smells so good from my husband and strangers. I use a spray bottle with water tea tree oil and peppermint oil that I made. I think you’ll love Locs, I do And wish I would’ve done it sooner
I want to give you a H U G E THANK YOU for this video. I already purchased your ebook & started working on my daughter’s hair earlier this year. However, we had some things to come up & decided to take down to start later. This is so wonderful because we plan to get started again sometime after Thanksgiving. I look forward to this series & your hair is beautiful 😊
You are welcome and thank you for leaving such a lovely message, I always appreciate feedback. I am very happy you've found my ebook helpful. The series goes on.... All the best for your establishment!
My daughter and I started my micro locs in July. I went to a salon to see a sister locks consultant because despite braiding and banding the ends of my 3c,4a hair is unraveling. She said when I installed them I did not properly seal the ends. I used a 4 point rotation. I would like any suggestions on how to "seal" the ends so my baby locs do not unravel. That would be a great video for us DIY'ers.
If you started her locs with interlocks they are basically sealed already. I hope you interlocked from the tips of the hair. You can try re-Interlock the unravelled ends. I am not familiar with any other type of "sealing" than what I have already explained. Hope this helps.
Hi Kurlox did you start your locs with 2 strand twists? I did and I have the issue of my twist unraveling. I have 3B-3C, this is my second set of locs , I started this 2nd set 4 months ago and have had 2 re-tie via interlocking but I still suffer from unraveling.
@@traceywilliams8733 Tracey I was trying to avoid the constant unraveling of a two strand method so I started with interlocking 4 point rotation. The roots are fine but they loosen and unravel up about a quarter of the way. Especially my looser texture in front. I will just have to keep redoing them 4 point. Can't wait till they mature.
You're welcome, glad it was helpful. I honestly don't really know because it's different all over. In my " final reveal video" I showed now they turned out after installing.
You are a genius. This is the clearest video that I've ever seen. Thank you a million times!
Hehe, that's so flattering, thank you so much 🙏😊
Lady you're a gem. I have been struggling to do my own parting and given up but this has help more than words can explain. Thank you.

Wash regularly, ensure it dries completely before wearing a bonnet at night or a hat

Try braiding the ends
I know this comment is old, but maybe using the crochet method could help. The same way you would make loc extensions.
❤❤❤
loved it

This is an awesome instructional video. Thank you!
Thank you. Was a pleasure 🙏
Do you apply anything to the hair prior to starting??
No. It's good not to, it avoids slippage.
Thank you, this was so helpful! How big did you make your locs?

When your doing the micro locks do you stretch your hair?
Yes, naturally with twists or Bantu knots, you can also thread your hair to stretch it.
I want micros, but all of this sounds like gibberish to me because my sides are shaved
My sides are shaved too but when I do mine ima pretend I have a full head . Lol
Thank you so much. This was so helpful. 🤍
