Entry-level machines probably have a steam wand that can only handle a 12 oz milk pitcher. More milk will overwhelm the steam wand, and it’ll be hard to get even milk texture.
When you're first getting started with an entry level machine, we recommend steaming smaller amounts of milk (6-8oz of milk in a 12oz pitcher for example) but if the machine has a thermoblock then it can actually handle a larger quantity of milk but steaming the milk will take longer to get the right texture and temp

What size pitcher does a breville bambino come with? Its too large but trying to figure out what my new size should be by referencing their size.
It comes with a 16.9oz pitcher! You might look at 12oz pitchers as a smaller option ☕
sloped vs. straight sided milk pitcher? does it matter?
A sloped pitcher can help with getting the proper rotation during steaming, and can make your pour a bit easier to control!
ahh nothing like extremely inflated prices for very cheap goods that only have the addition of fancy branding...
lookin for new milk pitcher🎉
So many great options out there!
Why Rhino scale starts at 180ml? It is too much milk there
Thanks Charlie Day
You explained nothing about why the shapes and spouts are so different thank you
