Killer new pedal from Boss. I have been using my POG 2 for years with both electric and acoustic and it is a super versatile effect. A little goes a long way. Thanks for the vid Bea. Love your music dude.
The OC3 has polyphonic mode and a range control. I have a bunch of them and I play guitar and bass at the same time with the stereo out into a bass amp. Been doing this for 10 years! I’ve recorded my last FOUR albums with this setup.

Awesome thx! Damn. My oc3 is hitting eBay soon. If I may correct you Rabea: the oc3 has the range control. For years It has been my superpower in solo singersongwriter gigs. Awesome to dial in the octave effect for e and a string TIL the 7th fret to fake the bass while fingerpicking. (yep it’s so precise)But what you missed: you can feed the octaved sound out on the one jack and the dry guitar signal without the octave out the direct out in its usual fx chain. So Bass stays dry and tight. no bass mush in delays etc. Great 3D separations.Live I’ve got an extra amp for the octave bass with comp etc. When I Throw it on my guitalele heads turn for the bass player/ For desert rock I ad in a fuzz on the bass chain. Fun. Try it! Would be awesome if it would be selectable if the hi octave goes out via direct or mono jack.
Bea thanks for this great review of the OC-5.....Awesome playing. Together with Boss you knocked it out of the park at least 1 mile higher (and then 2 lower). This pedal offers great value for money.
Oc 3 did have poly mode as well as the octave range dial. Not sure how one could miss that. If someone doesn’t want octave up the OC 3 does everything this does plus a fuzz. They traded fuzz for octave up on OC 5.
I'm waiting for these to come into stock like a pining puppy waiting for its owner to come home...I use octave stuff all the time for looping and have been through so many pedals, looking for exactly what the OC5 does. This demo is absolutely astonishing, one of the best review videos I've ever seen, thankyou!
I’ll def be checking out this as an upgrade to my chain to swap out the Drop. The poly mode with range control sounds like a winner. For reference I’ll be looking to use it for bass signal in my guitar chain playing baritones in a two piece called TCRXP, where it’s one signal for guitar and bass. Full huge range is what I love. Thanks for your vids!!!
Sounds perfect I don’t really hear people use it subtly for extra chunk like you did. That was refreshing. Also nice to hear how it works with all those toska licks.
I have the Harmonist. I am looking at the new Pitchfork plus. So, you could just get the OC3, if you just want the polyphonic aspect. Another great demo.

Does this mean that what bea did with oc-5 poly can be done with oc-3?
Yep, I'm buying this pedal now. Excellent demo and love that you demonstrated it with high gains well as playing a Strat and hum bucker style guitar.
Rabea is so good he surprises himself a few times in this....
Literally the best review of this pedal! Helped convince me to buy it!
Bea thanks for this great review of the OC-5.....Awesome playing. Together with Boss you knocked it out of the park at least 1 mile higher (and then 2 lower). This pedal offers great value for money.
I kind of wish they'd called it the OctaveR, with an R, like those rare/early OC-2's that sell for £300!
Rabea… Dude… That riff at 16:56 is SICK!!!
Looking forward to trying this out. Thanks. Good job.
Great demo
Oc 3 did have poly mode as well as the octave range dial. Not sure how one could miss that. If someone doesn’t want octave up the OC 3 does everything this does plus a fuzz. They traded fuzz for octave up on OC 5.
Was thinking this same thing. And after playing both pedals, I daresay the OC-3 tracks better.
Great video, and nice playing too!
Sounds perfect
I don’t really hear people use it subtly for extra chunk like you did. That was refreshing. Also nice to hear how it works with all those toska licks.
this is a great review man, thank you very much for being intensely descriptive. I also discovered Nuno Bettencourt, great all-around.
The previous model OC3 has poly mode and range control as well. The only things this OC5 adds are Octave-up and Vintage mode.
I have the Harmonist. I am looking at the new Pitchfork plus. So, you could just get the OC3, if you just want the polyphonic aspect. Another great demo.
Love the faces 😂 they really helped where words couldn't go further
Damn Rabea, sounding good and looking good! Hope you're doing well.
"I don't know why I'm playing really heavy stuff with a crunch tone"
'cause it sounds really cool.
Once again a verry thorough and instructive demo Rabea. And that Drop C sound with the low range is quite impressive (beautifull guitar by the way)🔈🔉🔊
I got some real RATM vibes when you plugged in the PRS :)
