the 7lt Pilot is the best EDC bag ive ever owned for carrying gear. Didn't think I'd like it as much as I do, but it's been my go-to for about 4 months. love it.
Wow, you stole the bag from me for 4 months already? Time flies 😂😂😂
If Wotancraft could upgrade their slings with weatherproof zips, I'd be all over them. The Minirider looks awesome
I’ll pass on the message 👍🏼👍🏼
Wow … lots of great info … thanks! I’m looking for my first camera bag after two years of Fuji X100V ownership. My black V has the Fuji hood and I also have the Nisi Pro filter kit and a carbon travel tripod for my landscape photography. I’m leaning towards the 7L for the tripod straps. PS: I didn’t know about the rider bags … good to know because I always carry my Fuji with a PS Bagworks rider strap and JJC neoprene case when I’m on my carbon road bicycle!
Really like the look of these. I use a 2L for a Leica M w/attached lens and one spare lens. The 3.5L holds my Leica SL with attached Sigma 35mm DN DG lens and a spare Sigma lens. probably too small for the huge Leica SL lenses but great with the smaller Sigma glass.
Definitely the 3.5L can carry one decent size camera and medium lens. I just usually carry other EDC items with me, so these bags are a bit too small for me, except on my day off with wife :-) Thanks for sharing your set-up!
I have the cordura 3.5L Pilot and really like it, just pre ordered the leather version. The only thing I wish the leather version has a bigger handle, the cordura version handle is a bit small for me. Not just Leica, it fits my Nikon Zf or Sony A7RV with one extra prime lens fine.
Awesome, congrats. The handle on the leather is definitely better than the Cordura version.
I see the 2L bag being used to carry a couple extra lenses while out shooting with camera in your hand (where it does not need to go into a bag).
If they made a 7L leather I'd be down for that for sure
I’m going to keep pushing them, even if it’s half leather and half Cordura, I think it would functional yet classy, right?
@@bigheadtaco they seem to be getting closer to the types of bags I like. Which one out of those and night/easy rider have the most zip pockets?
@@KristianDowlingthe Pilot series in general have the most zip pockets, plus expandable with extra modules and inserts.
@@bigheadtaco thanks my man. Your influence may have got me 😉
@@KristianDowling my apologies 😅😅
Another great and informative video. Question, I'm looking at the Mini Rider for travel and wonder if WotanCraft's new Large and Medium pouch would fit inside together? I'm considering the Mini Rider but want to have a bit more padding for my X100VI and Leica m11P so the pouches would give me more peace of mind while going through airport security.
Hey BHT, do you reckon the 3.5L can fit an XT5 with 18 1.4 attached and a 33 1.4 on the other side? I've been trying to calculate the lengths of them but figured I'd ask! Thank you!
Bit of a backwards step other than the premium leather, which is probably going to be heavier.
The lack of expansion is a big negative.
I appreciate your thoughts. Wotancraft are always experimenting with different materials and styles. That’s why I really like the brand. The 3.5L leather is nice, although slightly small for my personal needs. I do hope they allow expansion with leather accessories. It comes down to customers to give their input :-)
How well do the wotancrafts work with medium format camera’s? Especially with TLR’s like Yashica’s and rolleiflex. I been looking at a bag to handle 1 or 2 smaller medium format camera’s.
@@mrdasboot45you can definitely configure the inside to fit medium format. For instance, the Scout shoulder bag can easily hold TLR’s standing.
@@bigheadtaco thanks for the information,by the way do you shoot medium format ?
@@mrdasboot45yes but not often. I have the Fujifilm GA645zi and Mamiya 645
What are cons of parashooter strap compared ordinary leather strap?
What size of heroclip carabiner did you use in 7L? Small or medium?
Do you know if there are any discounts or affiliate links for the Pilot 7L?
Please stop that click click click at the beginning of your TH-cam offering it's so annoying and stupid
Leather camera bags that look like luxury woman handbags designed to look like streetwear. Senseless "chic" that defeats the purpose of carrying photographic gear as comfortably, effectively and securely as possible. What we need are weatherproof, modular, light, no fuss, solid bags with easy access to the gear when you shoot and securely closed when you are squeezed in a crowd. Leather is completely the wrong material for any of that.
No. Leather is great. Cheap nylon bags have always existed that a super functional but lack style and attitude.
Great review again Take. Good point on choosing the bags to be height suitable. We’re buying Wontancraft in Sg because of your reviews ! 😃
Thanks for watching! I’d love to visit Singapore again. Food is amazing!!
