I just ordered black x black 125cm parashooter strap for my m11 monochrom. Recently I’ve been struggling with a pain caused by hernia, and hopefully this helps.
I've been looking at the Wotancraft parachord straps for a bit just love the style and colors... Thanks
I’m so impressed with them , they have such a unique vibe to them.
@@AskMOTT I love the pilot bags I have and may have to jump on a strap..
Been looking for a new small camera bag and never heard of Wotancraft before but they seem like a pretty good option and not that expensive
Just ordered a 7l Pilot on your recommendation. It will be great to be more organised when I'm out and about!
Right on John, please tell me what you think of it after you use it for a while. I love my Pilot collection.
@@AskMOTT Will do. Just hoping I've guessed the right size for my two small cameras (Q and a Fuji X-T2 with a prime)
@@AskMOTT I had a first full day out yesterday with my new Wotancraft Pilot 7l
Thoughts:
1. How are bag capacities of all brands measured? This would probably hold only 2 x 1 litre measuring jugs! But my two smallish cameras (Leica Q and Fuji X-T2 + 56mm f1.2) fit in as I intended so that’s fine.
2. Styling is as illustrated. Usability is great. The sequence of thief delaying clip, zip and compartments made accessing gear simple and I soon established a place for everything.
3. Build quality is excellent! Both the ‘canvas’ material and the straps. The way the top flap has extra flexible material to keep out weather and prevent thieving hands is very impressive. Overall security is very high. I felt confident my gear was safe in London tourist crowds.
4. Biggest and much appreciated plus was the beautifully padded shoulder strap that gripped so well to my waterproof jacket but allowed the main bag strap to glide through with such ease. Due to my other bags needing constant re-setting on my shoulder I have almost a ‘tick’ about it -but the Pilot was always sitting safely and securely on my shoulder however many times the bag got moved around.
5. The only annoying negative is that the elastic on the water bottle pockets is too strong (maybe they will stretch a little in time). Any water bottle has to be pretty slim. But worst of all, the capacity of the water bottle pushed against soft fabric and therefore intrudes into the internal space meaning that the gear inside the bag is jammed close together and is difficult to take out when changing lenses or in my case cameras. So, sadly this means I won’t using the bag to carry a water bottle which is a pain.
Overall, I’m very pleased with my stylish, well-made, secure, efficient new bag! But for a street photographer being able to keep hydrated by conveniently carrying water is an important factor so I would score this bag at 82% and a silver medal in DP review terms.
Hope that helps, Justin
Do you prefer the leather pilot or mini rider?
I prefer the mini rider as I like the brown broken in leather look.
@@AskMOTT I hope Wotancraft would release a brown leather pilot
Which color strap combo is your favorite?
I take the camera instead ....
I like wrist straps on my Fuji's, the black leather with blue paracord is a lovely looking combo. I've got a black leather Gordy with dark blue binding and it's a similar attractive match.
