We use to spend a lot of time in Cabo in the late 80s and early 90s as a family. This recipe came into our lives from there and we ended up calling it the “dangerous don” in honor of my dad, may he rest in peace. It is very traditional but has so much flavor. 2 oz good blanco 1 lime squeezed 1 oz Cointreau Shaken and then strained over ice and then floats cap of damiana
Thank you! Worked really hard on this one 😁 have a new editor who has helped me with this one so hopefully we can start putting out more high quality content like this one!
Made the spicy avocado margarita and it was amazing!! I kept drinking it saying “this is so interesting” and then poof it was gone and made another one. Definitely trying more recipes from the video
Great video, Lui! Love the spectrum you covered and the Tres Agaves inclusion; that añejo is my go-to for sipping at home! Question: have you ever used Aguavero agave syrup orange liqueur? Curious what ratios you think would work best for a product like that with tequila and fresh lime!
Great Video, I love different types of Margaritas. If you wanted to make a larger glass, Would you double the ingredients or increase them a little due to the extra ice.
Great video. I decided to make the banana margarita, and my wife declared it to be a good drink. Next time, based on personal preferences, I might play with using 3/4 ounce of lime juice instead of a full ounce, because the lime seemed to overpower the banana a little, but that may be because I used a different banana liqueur (Combier). Or it may just be personal preference. All in all, a very enjoyable drink!
You know you're a bartender when you immediately recognize the reuse of a St. George bottle for lime juice haha. Definitely an amazing bottle, and great video!
I personally think infinity bottles are lame. I appreciate the craft behind a well made spirit and don't think I'm qualified or arrogant enough to think I can make a blend of spirits that'll taste better than what was pain stakingly made with love and care by the master distillers. But that's just me.
Have a bar FULL of expensive whiskey because I usually drink all my tequila, and just realized it. Your channel is part of getting on the right track. Thank you sir (edited because I'm drinking one of those mix+tequila margaritas)
Made the classic ... yum yum ... and today the detox ... I'd rather just drink the carrot juice without the tequilla. I love fresh carrot juice ... but the detox ... not so much ... Wish I did, because how great would it be to get wasted and healthy at the same time ... heh heh. I was in a bar in San Diego, and they had a spicy chili chipolte pepper with some kind of cucumber if I remember. That was tasty. Just bought a bottle of Tequilla Ocho - holy shit that stuff is tasty!!! I bought it blind, but you rated it high ... so I guess I did alright. A little pricey around my parts (Idaho) 60 bucks for 750 ml.
Maybe a stupid sounding question, what if you made a regular margarita but stirred it instead of shaking it. There's arecipe I saw that was basically a pineapple jalpeno infused tequila margarita that had vaniila syrup and was stirred. What do you think of that?
I have a whole video on when to shake vs stir cocktails. Basically any drink with a citrus juice should be shaken to aerate, or introduce air into a cocktail so keep it as one cohesive product
@@Lui_Fern Ok, there's a video from your good friend Leandro from Educated Barfly where he makes four recipes that has citrus and stirres them. As my father would say there's no such thing as a bad idea, just poorly executed awesome ideas. Keep up the great work man.
I'm sorry... but Cimarron is not a "great" blanco tequila. Yes it's additive free, but additive free does not = good/great. The price point for Cimarron is great, but not much else.
@@Lui_Fern Yup... we will. Just not a fan of the flavor profile and it's harsh. I'd take Arette (similar price point) over Cimarron all day. Love the videos though... back to my never ending search for yellow chartreuse & G4. Fortaleza is easy to find in comparison.

Thank you for the kind words! Another awesome commenter did the chapters for us in the comments!
Yum prob top 3 fav cocktail, will definitely be trying that avocado one this weekend.
It's so good! And its fun to make, even if it's a bit messy haha

I have not used Agavero actually it seems very sweet to me when I tried it.
@@Lui_Fern For sure, you definitely don't need any other syrup if you use it
Great video thanks Lui. Could you teach us some slushy versions for summertime.
man so many ideas ! really nice, creative and interesting
Thanks a lot! 😁🙏
You need a margarita recipe book dude! Crushing it Lui 😀
Thanks man! Working on writing a cocktail book at some point soon.
That would be fantastic! I am determined to come visit your restaurant. Stoked to see your channel growing!
😋 yum! I usually use simple syrup. What agave do you recommend? Would love to know how to make the mango purée
Use a juicer, cut up mangos and juice them. I then mix it with sugar in a blender in a ratio of 2:1 just to make it last a bit longer.
Great Video, I love different types of Margaritas. If you wanted to make a larger glass, Would you double the ingredients or increase them a little due to the extra ice.
I would double the recipe personally.
Great vid thanks!!

Oh awesome! So happy you gave it a shot and liked it! It's one of my favorites 😁
Just tried your Jackie. Delicious 🎉
Awesome man! Happy you enjoyed it!
Could you give us a recipe for a mango puree?
Yeah! Just use a vegetable/fruit juicer and juice a mango. Then mix 2 parts mango juice to 1 part sugar to keep it longer.
You know you're a bartender when you immediately recognize the reuse of a St. George bottle for lime juice haha. Definitely an amazing bottle, and great video!
Hahahahahahaha that's exactly what it is! 😂😁 Glad you recognized it so easily
What’s the best agave syrup to use? Anything to look for?
Thanks for the tequila education. Maybe a bit of “good” grenadine would work in place of Pom juice? Or too sweet with the hibiscus syrup ?
I got try it 😊
Where can I get a set of Catus Glasses, Love them.
Man look at that color on the Jagerita. Wild
Hey Lou. What is the best Agave Syrup on market
Whatever brand of agave nectar is at the store is fine enough IMO.
Have you tried adding Xanthan Gum in blended cocktails? It’s a game changer. Just add 1/4 tsp
Have you ever made a tequila infinity bottle? What are your thoughts on them?

Hello Lui, do you recommend sweet or bitter orange marnalade?
Oooo great question. The original recipe called for sweet, but I can imagine that the bitter might actually give it a nice complex flavor as well.
Always thankful!!🎉
I know it's a lot to ask for, but can you add the recipes in the info pleeeaaaseeee!!! Thank you! :)
Can you review pantalones tequila? 🤔
I will once I get my hands on a bottle
Ranch Water needs to be on this great list!
While I love a good ranch water, it's not a margarita.
For habanero agave syrup you do fresh habaneros right, no the dried ones?
Fresh habaneros
Damn i gotta get some blanco now. I love margaritas but the only blancos i have is fortaleza. Ill grab some ocho
Have you ever used controy? Mexican Cointreau lol
is suerte tequila additive free?
It's not confirmed by Tequila Matchmaker yet but I don't believe they use any Additives.
@@Lui_Fern thanks, i saw that it was rated quite high on the app, thanks for educating my taste buds on tequila

Sure. I'm a video not a cop.
