Great job BBI .I have power steering pully puller/installer and the ac clutch tool. some GM and Ford come with dual alternators. My F250SD desal did . 2 group 31 battery's also. The last install I did I kept the stock alternator and added the 2nd one. and a separate battery system for the radio setup. being only a 1.5KW HF setup it worked so great ! 73's !!

One thing I do with using thread locker, don’t use it until the last four or five threads. Your bolt will not back out and you will most likely never have to use a torch. From years of experience.

I have a jeep Liberty with 9 12's walled about to be built its already got a 320mechman and 370 singer both are wired together so i can just use one headway bank in the back behind my wall
Why not hook another alternator up to a 12 V electric motor on your wheel well there where you have plenty of other room. If you hook it up directly, you won’t have to worry about a bell. You can use a PWM, to adjust the RPM of the motor.
I know you've had a Tahoe in the past, but.... Watch out for the coolant connections back on the firewall on the left side of the engine. They're made of plastic, and they like to fail and pump all your coolant out. I ordered some billet tee's to replace the plastic.
Hey this install video with sweet!. Just a question... for the "second alternator" I'm using it for my second battery that will power my audio... how do I wire the harness for the second alternator?. 🤔 do I just wire up with switch wire..

my tahoe has a dual set up.Stock and..the 2nd alternator 300amp feeds 4 kinetic batteries..That second one is a ford crown victoria.I did connect the red and ground lead but has a small box with a red and white wire... where do I connect that or wich one for 12v to test and power the alternator??
I want one that will drop in the stock mounting I'm not trying to go all BBI and have 15 kw in a mobile I'm only gonna run average guy stuff like maybe a 2x4 or something. BBI you sir are an amplifier genius.

I'm so jealous how GM make their alternator up there and easy to access and exchange or add on! Unlike stupid toyota they make it so difficult down there and no room to work with which is a ridiculous headache....
🔴 I have two of these #OneWireAlternators. One is factory #acdelco 160amp the other is a identically made #powermaster 250amp. Both are grounded to the engine right now via a #dualmountingbracket but each one power wire goes to it's own battery. Basically two charging systems. My question is can I run both #OneWire alternators in parallel by just jumping the one wire over to the other alternator and then splice the factory sense wire and jump it over as well so that the Pcm only sees Basically one high powered alternator❓️Any info would be greatly appreciated. Btw, I left out that right now I'm controling the voltage output on the 250amp with a #PulseWaveModulator that operates at 128hz just like the factory one. I can turn it as low as 11.9 up to 15.4 amps output, but I don't have anything that let's me know that it's completely charged so I can turn it down. The factory alternator does this on it's on via the PCM and I'd like it all to work like that to relieve the guess work.

2 Reasons well really 3. They like having the bigger case the bigger field wires and they feel that the alternators can consistently put out more current for a longer . Of time.. 2 they have removable rectifier rings in the back that are easily accessible so you can relocate them to closer to the source. And three it would really help least naville if they would change their design that is most likely a good solid 75 years old at this point. I have a truck let us not forget that already has all that shit strapped on the front of it. This particular build is specifically designed around the fact that I want to be able to have quick replaceable components an easy accessibility to commonly used parts

Well this is the upside that that alternator does drop directly into the stock location on a Chevy vehicle period with no modifications
