Excited for the F2F trip! 🙌
Me too! 🍻
Awesome mate i love that idea
Awesome idea mate, I do Sous Vide cooking for work and have never thought of this will definitely try it.
Wow that awesome...I give it a go too
Glad to see you're enjoying your first fire of the season, that steak looked bloody amazing. 😊
Will try that fer sure. Some good trips coming up, especially the one with Harry
Epic location...❤
Thanks for the idea, definitely giving it a go!
No probs! Let me know how you go- I’m loving this method
I can't wait to see the upcoming trips, Cam! Sounds like you've got a lot coming up.
Went on the first trip of the year a couple of weeks ago. Nice to get out and have a fire.😊
Thankfully, there are no fire restrictions where I'm at.
Cheers Cam will def give this a go 👌
Let me know how you go!
Top Idea! You have gotta love a home made Souz Vide steak. We've been wanting to try Suze Viddy when camping in our caravan, was thinking of trying in the thermomix one camping trip. Might try an esky now instead!
Cool ! Gonna try this 👍
Give it a go! Works so well
Gonna give that a shot in the thermal cooker.. Best thing with those is the water can be heated up mid afternoon and left to cook while driving around.
Thermal cooker would be perfect for this method!!
I mean I love the steak Cam but I’ve been waiting years for my 2 fav tubers for a collab lol !!! 🤙
Harry’s got competition 😂
The hardest part is having enough beers I recon
The hardest part is not drinking too many beers on an empty stomach while you wait 🤣
Awesome cook up! adding this to the list next lads trip i do. (assuming 60c temp?) Also super awesome that you'll be doing a little duet with @FiretoFork
Keep up the great vids mate.
Cheers man another good vid, gunna try that cooking steak trick 👍cheers look forward to the next vid👍
Cheers mate! 🍻
Best way to have steak. The final stage I use a gas blower to put a perfect crust on it with out the pan cooking it a little extra and of course letting it rest
I want to give this a go too! Can I use the butane torch I started the fire with??
Great vid cam. What dam are you at mate?
Gave the red neck Sous vide a crack for dinner tonight, @camwild what a fantastic idea. It worked a treat. Gunna pack the Eski next time we go camping ✅✅
Ahh mate, almost perfect, before searing, ensure to dry the steak as much as possible with kitchen towel, this will give a much better sear. Dryer the better. But in all well done.
You’re not wrong! I did forget 🤦 🤣
I’m gonna try that steak.👍🏾
Give it a go mate, it’s so good 🤤
Cam you didn't listen when you were taught how to light a fire at boy scouts 😂😂, love your shows
Haha the blow torch makes light work of it 🤣
@@WildTouring You could say it is a single POWER match!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mate, the footage of the vehicle cutting through the dark forrest was awesome, i bet you had a grin editing that 😀👍
Haha yes that was on the one good part of arriving after dark! 🤣
Yum. Will give that a go. Can I ask what dual internal tailgate light you have?
I’ve got this one from Off-road Living, has a built in dimmer for both colours too.

Mouth watering brother
Was pretty bloody good!!
What a spouse to
Let you run at short notice…good work..could see Harry using this as well..noice
Would be interesting to see Harry 'cook with water'...!
She’s a keeper! Yeah I reckon this would be right up Harry’s alley!
We've had campsites that we woke up to. Lol 🇨🇦
Great cooking tip. Is this Wellington Dam?
Looks like it
Awesome little trip!
Are you going to start experimenting with what you put in your sousvide baggies like on Guga foods?
Or maybe a steak-off & Lcruiser-off(Prado vs LC300) with Harry?
I’d like to try some different cuts and searing with a blow torch like Guga does!
Hi Cam, love your vids ! I know sous vide, but hw did you a) get the water in the esky up to temp and b) maintain an accurate 60C ? Cheers ! - Dean
I would have been hangry eating that late 😅
I was! Beers on an empty stomach is never good either haha
@@WildTouring 😂😂😂
Nice vid Cam, thanks for sharing. Ive got a proper gadget to do the steaks at home but will definitely try it your way. I normally sear them off with my blowtorch, they come up good.. What is the bag you have attached to your drawer face?
Do you just use a normal butane blowtorch like the one I lit the fire with? I want to give it a go searing it that way too!
The organiser on the front my fridge is our product! 👇

@@WildTouring I will buy one of them. Yeap, just any old blow torch. They are great because you can get the sear you want and can do all the edges as well. I just put the steak on a rack up off the ground and go for it with the torch
Do you need to increase the 2 hour depending how thick the steak are?
Nice video again. Is your collapsible kettle 12 or 24 Volt?
240v, it’s running off the inverter. I find the 12v ones too slow!!
@@WildTouring Thanks, same here. I was just hoping you had found a good 12v one haha
Fantastic, making me jealous, no Jarrah on the East Coast
Cheers mate. Nothing quite like the smell of jarrah burning! I’ll have to bring some bags with me when I get over there ! 🔥
@WildTouring if only you could, Quarantine would kick your ass I reckon
Bugger me!,,,, how do you get a leave pass to go camping? 😊
Mate love the clip, but you really do need some of my pepper and salt grinders.
Thanks
Mark
Cheers Mark! 🍻 I’ll have to check out Harry’s when we go away 👍🏼
If you are down this way, please let me know and you can pick up a set for a bit of a deal😊
Not that far removed from homebrewing using an esky as a mash tun/sous vide container, nice work
Interesting, one question? I assume you top up the esky with hot water to keep the 60degs for 2hrs or once at 60 it pretty much stays there for 2hrs?? I will give this a go
I overshoot the temp to start with to preheat the esky, get it close to 70ish. Let it slowly drop and stabilise at 60. Then bang the steaks in. It will hold temp really stable at that temp for a couple of hours!
@@WildTouring thanks Cam, I will give it ago.
Hi Cam, I noticed another comment mentioned to sear witha blow torch, I don't wanna take anything away from the guy yes blow torches work and yes you could use your butaine, you do want as wide a flame as possible though , idea is to ensure you seat as fast as possible also you don't actually cook amymore, by searing you will always have a great ring of where it's cooked more, this needs to be minimized hense big fast flame or roaring preferably cast iron pan. Experi3nce has taught me don't get the searsall a load of rubbish, sous vide Gun perfect. I'm sure you've done you homework, that's just my experiences, maybe someone can help us all, I was thinking sous vide freeze and take camping then all I need is to thaw and sear, is that a plan , health maybe don't know?
🥩 🤤 🤤 🤤
What happened to the second steak ?
Went into the fridge in the snap lock bag. Warmed it back up the next day for 30 mins in a water bath just under 60 degrees so that it warmed through but didn’t cook any further. And then pan seared it. Was just as cool as the steak in this vid!
Hi Cam
Mhhh…. 2 hours bathing my steak = not for me mate!
I Recon we are belongs to the other group. :
Salting steaks hours before cooking let it dry lay on chopsticks on a plate and keep it on room temperature all time.
The steak will be absolutely dry on outside and juicy inside.
You bet, the meater thermometer is the ducks guts. Best on the market at the moment with 2 temp readings for a good reason.
Last night had a ribeye no bone on the Weber bbq. 1.5 kg piece !
Set kern temp to 53 degrees, seared it hot both side nice brownish not black burned and the turned the Weber Q1200 to very low to keep around 120 degrees until the kern temp was on 53 degrees exact. 8 min resting to perfect just medium on outer edges…
Outside dry, inside juice and perfect cooked.
That’s the way doing it with a gasgrill with a lit no ruining a 1.5 kg nice ribeye steak.
Cooking time 20+8min rest.
You reckon, was just enough for 2 eater by 6:00 arvo….
Cooking over open fire different technic.
Hope to see the next vids from you soon since we just back to Germany for the summer here in Europe.
Cheers mate and safe travels all times 😊
Cam, did you have all your gear packed and ready to go when Tiff got home knowing that she'd say 'absolutely my love, you go have a lovely time and I'll stay here look after the kids'? Or you hadnt packed, fully expecting a snarl?
