this was the song (and the movie) that got me interested in barbershop in the first place. it seems like nobody ever does the "iiiiiice creeeeeeam" part, and that's my favorite part! well done, man! love it :)
Wow, you're a fantastic bass! I haven't seen this song multitracked in full before, including the talking part, which is a great and funny introduction to the rest of it. Congrats!
No he has it right. Lead is the one who sings the melody, Tenor is the highest, sometimes they overlap, especially in this case where there aren't any lead solos.
Although the chance of you seeing this post is pretty slim, there wouldn't have been an arrangement of this song. In the early days of SPEBSQSA, everything was woodshedded and printed copies of music were a certain no-no in contests. I'm almost certain that was the reasoning for the "woodshedders" contest many moons ago - won by the quartete "Great Honk" (a 'tip' of the cap to The Music Man.)
Ok. I should probably keep my mouth shut here but... I won't. I'll use the sandwich method. First of all, great creativity and ingenuity in creating the video, with visual interaction between the parts! Secondly, not happy about the regional accent. "Wur in Love". Really? Really?! That word is "WEE uhr" and sung correctly in barbershop style it should come across as "WEE rin Luv". This is not open to debate. Aside from that, your vocals are excellent and anyone who needs to have learning tapes made should contact you because I'm sure you will do an excellent job!
Ladies, from now on, you won't see one of those guys without the other 3.
Joseph Womer why professor theyve hated each other for 15 years

I love how he lowers the 3rd in the last chord putting it perfectly in tune. Chills man, chills!
I get chills when I hear that great Barbershop harmony!!☺🎵🎶❤👌

omg you are bring me back to when i did music man for my 6th grade musical thank you
What part did you play?
Just wonderful
Great job, Rhett!
Terrific! Pure genius.
Excellent man. Sounds awesome.
NICE!!!! Very well done indeed... including the video editing which made it look like you were an actual quartet on stage!! 10 thumbs up.
this is the most accurate replication of the original
Rhett sang it a full step lower than the actual key signature. If you listen to the Buffalo Bills quartet they sing it in the key of C.
Very Good ! Sounds like the masters.
YES!!!! Nice work, I love your Bass sound.
Fantastic!
My quartet B-BLT is using your YT as a learning track. Nicely done!
Nicely done.
awesome
Where do people get the parts for these songs?
nice job!!!
Watch out, Shugah! It's a trap!
Was that last line about ice cream made up by you Rhett?
Really liked it. Men should hire these guys for marriage proposals!
it’s one guy
@@rowanfisher8659 Get outta here. It clearly says their names under them. Bari is the cute one. 😉

I think this guy has the Lead and the Tenor parts backwards.
from 1:29 is it awesome!
Sounds like the original Meredith Willson version...not very good barbershop arranging, but you performed it very well!

This reminds me of Disney's remake of The Music Man.
