Too much to say, but I'll try. 1) You have a sweet tenor. Very nice. 2) I like the little tweaks to the interpretation you made. Now for the long one. GBs performed at a show in Florence SC when I was in a quartet on the same show in high school. I bought every record they had with them to sell, including one with this arrangement (Jim Sikorski had been the tenor on that album). Anyway, with a very basic knowledge of theory and music notation, I spent hours and hours transcribing that arrangement. It was an education. I never had a chance to sing it with anyone, but I was pretty proud of that at the time. I think I'll listen again, now. Thanks!
Tears are streaming down my face because of how beautiful your harmonies are. oh my gosh. This is amazing. I only wish my generation could appreciate barbershop more this is stellar
A great consolation prize in your cover. So close to the original Grandma's Boys interp. Wish I could find a video of the GB performance. I once subbed in on Tenor with them on this song backstage in Delaware. But that was a few years back.
We saw you at the Ball Brothers concert in Ludington on Sunday. (I brought the disabled lady I work for-she enjoyed the concert soooo much). I was in the second row in the center. It’s no wonder that the Ball leader was impressed with your talent after watching this video! Hope your move to GA goes well. Hope to see the group again!
This is amazing! My quartet will be singing this at our upcoming Convention in April, and we love your interp! Our version is by a different arranger, but still very very similar. Thanks so much for sharing! :)
First time I've found you this evening. So delicious to listen to. Thank you for putting this quality content out there. This is what I call music therapy. Great stuff. Where did you go to school?
I've tried to find the exact arrangement of this tune arr. by Jay...did you embellish or is the version that is listed on so many websites? They only show one page and a small sampling of the vocal recording. I direct a Women's Barbershop Chorus! Sherry
This is just so fantastic I can't even believe. I'm just learning to write for this style in my music theory class. I love this song and this arrangement and especially your performance. Do you have any tips for an aspiring barbershopist (if that's even a word, or the word?) thanks!
Great work! That sounds like the tag that Marquis sang, but the published arrangement has a simpler tag. Where did you find that tag? Is it posted/published anywhere?
This IS the original tag as arranged by Jay Giallombardo in 1969 for Grandma’s Boys. Yes yes I know we need to digitize all three albums they produced so we can get the tracks downloadable individually.
oh what awesome talent

DUDE! I'm not normally a barbershop guy, but this is fantastic! Well done!

Best. Tag. Ever. You did Jay proud. As always, meltingly tender and smooth, smooth, smooth.
Just WOW
A fantastic Jay G. arrangement, as sung by his quartet, Grandma's Boys - you did it proud! good job!
Oh, yeah...LOVE the pompadour and glasses. Very Buddy Holly.
Just saw this. Exactly like the Marquis version. Very well done!
The only one that knows how to sing it OMG 😍😍
Sounds great, man!! You're sound has improved a lot. And brought with such musicality. Love this!
Oh my gooooosh.... 3:26-3:32

You have got a stellar voice Rhett! I loved the collab in Sonny’s Country Road barbershop! 🙌🏻👌😊
This is my favorite barbershop song. Ahh. So glad that you did a cover of it.
One of my favs too :)

Very good your the voice . Nice lecture . Merry Christmas !
Why have I never heard this arrangement before!? You have excellent taste, normally I don't really like this song. great performance!
It's a hidden gem thats for sure! Jay Giallombardo arranged this for his quartet Grandmas Boys.
Former SPEBSQSA champs Marquis sang this on their album Diamond Cuts.
This sounds *_exactly_* like the one featured on the sample for my the arrangement the quartet is doing!!
I love this!
Absolutely awesome dude!!! I loved it :) x

+Diane Warner Thanks!
Lovely multitracking, Rhett!
Thank you!
You should do moonlight River
I found you on David Wesley's channel. You are great!
Thank you!
Great job, Where can I get the sheet music for my quartet?
Great job Rhett! One of my favorite ballads and you killed it. Kind of ironic that last rehearsal we had the bass of Marquis...
Thanks man! And ya I know right I was thinking the same thing!
