A very common question most Pokemon fans have is what would Pokemon look like if they were real? Today I help answer that question as I react to Realistic Pokemon art for all the Pokemon from Generation 1 all the way through Generation 5. All the art in this video comes from an old game I played called PokéBattlers and you can see all the art for yourself in the video linked down below. The Onix/Steelix showed off the snake part of their designs in a way I hadn’t considered before! Charizard looked really cool too.
Reacting to Pokémon cakes or food or something like that could be fun! (Like irl food modeled after Pokémon)

I wonder if the artist(s) will ever post their art of the Pokémon from Gen 6-8 and beyond. It would be nice.
Here are some of my thoughts on the designs featured, starting with the Normal types(the others will be in replies below):
1:21 Exploud would look better if it had the hippopotamus teeth/tusks instead of the fangs. Otherwise, it's just okay. I'm wondering about the way Whismur and Loudred look.
1:23 Bidoof is only slightly cute, yet otherwise average. It has me wondering about Bibarel.
1:27 I like this look for Kantonian Meowth. It would be nice to also see it standing on its hind legs like the Meowth of Team Rocket. I'm know curious about how Kantonian Persian, Alolan Meowth, Alolan Persian, Galarian Meowth, and Perrserker would look.
1:31 The Furret looks okay, but I wish it looked cute and more snuggly.
1:36 Huh. This Dunsparce doesn't look derpy. Now if it just had a regular evolution, then we'd be good. That being said, this would make me want to avoid Dunsparce all while wondering why it isn't at least Normal/Poison.
1:41 Blissey looks a little weird, and not just because of the length of its arms. It's not what I'd expect.
1:47 Buneary looks mildly cute. Makes me wonder what Lopunny and Mega Lopunny look like in this art style.
1:51-1:52 Kecleon looks alright or okay.
1:55 I wish Lickitung looked like this officially. Granted, I would want to see how Lickilicky looks, but still. It's good creepy/scary. I could also work with the way that the "Detective Pikachu" Lickitung looks.
2:22 Aww! Munchlax looks adorable! It would eat you out of house and home, but still.
2:50 I was a little mixed at first, but I think that I like how Herdier looks. Nicely done! Curious about the way Lillipup and Stoutland look.

3:51 Wow! I like what they did with Girafarig. The head at the rear looks sinister compared to the official one's simple facial expression. Makes it look like it should be Dark/Psychic rather than Normal/Psychic.

4:29 Kangaskhan looks good, but I feel it could be better. However, the infant in the pouch looks a little cute.
4:31 Arceus does not look right. It looks like the artist crammed it into that space when drawing it.

Below will be some of my thoughts on the Fire types:
6:03 Magby looks kinda cute and alright. I like how they made it look like a mix between a dinosaur and a duck(which is fitting). Makes me want to see Magmar and Magmortar.
6:08 Ha! Nice. Numel looks fairly good. They really made sure you could tell that it's supposed to be a young camel. Now I'm curious about Camerupt and Mega Camerupt.
6:25 Entei doesn't look regal or imposing enough. I'm disappointed.
6:29 Charmeleon doesn't look that bad. Nice. Curious to see Charmander, Charizard, Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Gigantamax Charizard.
6:34 Kantonian Vulpix looks a little cute. Could be cuter, but it's otherwise okay. In addition to wondering what their Kantonian Ninetales looks like, I would like to see what they would do with Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetales.

8:13 Tentacruel could look better. It's just mediocre.
8:15 Red-Striped and Blue-Striped Basculin look nice.
8:18 My only gripe with Wailmer is the teeth. They should have the bristle teeth things that whales have(the filter feeding things; I hope that whoever is reading this knows what I'm talking about). Otherwise, it looks just okay.
8:23 Seismitoad disappoints me.
8:25 Same goes for Poliwhirl. Makes me wondering about Poliwag, Poliwrath, and Politoed.
8:46 That's better. I'm glad that they got Swampert right. Makes me wanna see Mudkip, Marshtomp, and Mega Swampert.
8:48 Luvdisc looks good. I like it.
9:17 Something doesn't seem right about Palkia. I mean, it's not bad. It's not what I would expect of a legendary Pokémon.
9:35 First, I like what they did with Alomomola. Second, this makes me wish even more now that Luvdisc evolved into this.
10:02 I honestly like what they did with Poliwrath.
Here will be some of my thoughts on the Electric types:
10:31 Blitzle looks cute and partially cool. Nice job! Makes me want to see Zebstrika.
10:36 I love their Rotom! I would like to see how they interpreted each of Rotom's forms.
11:06 Nicely done with Rotom-Fan. 11:10 Rotom-Frost looks a little thicc. Jokes aside, it's not bad.
11:12 Good job on the Rotom-Heat. 11:17 I would not want that Rotom-Mow chasing me. Still, nicely drawn.
11:42 Nice job on Rotom-Wash. These designs definitely work well for my nickname for Rotom: Voltergeist.
11:49 Incarnate Form Thundurus looks mildly fine. 11:50 Therian Form Thundurus looks slightly okay.
-The clouds for each form are fine. For some reason, this artist(s) disappoints me with legends.
11:53 This does not do Zapdos justice.
12:01 Not a fan of this Luxray. Makes me concerned about how their Shinx and Luxio look.
12:29 Not a complete fan of their Electrode. I feel bad for whoever has a nightmare containing it.
Below will be some of my thoughts on the Grass types as well as the Ice types:
12:51 This Shaymin Land Form looks okay on the plant part, but the mammalian part doesn't seem quite right.
12:53 Shaymin Sky Form doesn't look right either.
12:54 Shroomish looks just right. Now I wanna see their Breloom.
12:56 Oh gosh! Their Tangela looks like a monster people would run from! I see that the artist(s) game it "feet/roots" instead of shoes. Now I wonder what Tangrowth looks like.
13:10 There's my answer for Tangrowth. I'd be hesitant to catch or own one. They did a great job on it and Tangela.
13:29 Spheal looks adorable. I just wish that it looked more spherical. I wanna see their Sealeo and Walrein.
13:34 Piloswine looks alright. Curious to see Swinub and Mamoswine.
13:38 Oh gosh! What did they do to Vanilluxe? While I'm curious to see Vanillite and Vanillish, this makes me want to own one even less.
13:58 Not bad regarding Mamoswine. Not bad. 14:03 Swinub looks okay and slightly cute.
Below will be some of my thoughts on the Fighting types and Poison types:
14:09 They definitely made the clothes look obvious on Sawk. I'm not sure I like the look of Sawk as a whole. Wondering now about Throh.
14:11 Mankey looks cute. Makes me curious to see Primeape.
14:13 Oh gosh! Machoke is scary. I'm reminded of seeing Machoke in the Wild Area. I would not want one chasing me. Makes me want to see Machamp and Gigantamax Machamp.
14:42 Machop looks a little creepy.
14:44 Machamp looks creepy yet disappointing.
14:51 This Gurdurr would trigger people's fear of clowns quickly. Holy crap! Makes me curious about Timburr and Conkeldurr.
14:55 Female Nidoran looks cute.
14:57 Oh gosh! I would definitely run from Garbodor if they looked like that! Nevertheless, not bad. Makes me wonder about Trubbish and Gigantamax Garbodor.
15:31 This makes me think that Kantonian Weezing should know biting attacks like Poison Fang, Bite, and Crunch. Makes me want to see Koffing and Galarian Weezing.
15:53 This Gulpin looks like it's either hiding something, doing something suspicious, or like it's going to kill and/or eat you.
15:57 Koffing looks good and sinister.
16:15 Swalot looks fairly good and derpy.
This was a very fun video to stumble across, a decade or so after PokeBattlers shut down. Or, never really got off the ground, rather. I'm surprised anyone still remembers PokeBattlers at all, or that this art briefly featured on PokeFarm Q. I don't play Farm, I donnu if it's still on the site anywhere... Anyhow...
I had a blast laughing and cringing alongside you two, and h'oh boy, did I laugh and cringe! Hard. Some of these monsters you picked for the video are meh, I still remember my fatigue and struggle when I look at them now. But, some fun monsters in this selection, too! Ones I remember cackling while drawing or just really enjoying, getting into the zone, discovering a new appreciation for the pokemon's design and concept, y'know how it be. I think the ghosts still hold up well. And the dynamic poses on some, like smeargle's twirly 'I'mma paint you!' thing, hold up well, too. I'm still proud of young me's efforts on these.
Was great to watch you recoil in fear and disgust, and also gasp and lean in to examine. I love when little details are noticed, like the dark wisp of smoke leaking from shedninja's back. Was great to read the viewer comments, too, and I read them all. I adore when people cry 'nightmare fuel!' and wince, even if the monster was not meant to be that horrific, just like I adore when people gush about how 'cool' my art is. In equal measure-all strong reactions are good reactions, in my eyes.
Anyhow, this was new and neat for me. A special lil' treat. Thank you for your interest and all your comments, squints and wows, compliments and nopes, everything! Really, really.

Hello guys. If you have any VR devise, download a game called Rec Room. It is free and in it you can make your own rooms/games. I have been working on recreating the 1st season of Pokemon(the anime). Think Pokemon ash grey but in VR. Now while the game isn't perfect I think any pokemon fun will love it. Search for QuestOfPokemon on Rec Room. I have done 3 chapters and I am working on the 4th(which may be the best yet. S.S.Anne to Sabrina). Each chapter has the events up to the gym and a gym fight. In terms of graphics they are a bit cartoony. The envirments are closer to the games. You can search rec room pokemon on youtube to get an idea since there are some videos of people playing my rooms. If you play it you can leave a comment here or in game(I could use some feedback). Thanks!

They were all drawn by one artist, over the course of a couple years, with a few hiatuses mixed in. The apparent shift in style is the result of experimentation and simple... having a schedule and getting some pokemon drawn that day, regardless if the energy level for doing so is there or not.
