    Another nice looking bike. Like you I'm a fan of the 24" wheel. I've built two bike with 24" wheels and find them the perfect size for most people.

    Russ was on Vacation to Russ is Back! Hope you had a great vacation in Alaska🚢The Engwe is a really nice bike, unique and aggressive look, love the powerful motor sound and the dual battery setup for extended range, and the 24" size. Hopefully more bikes will come in this 24" size. Wished it had fenders though. Get your handle bar extender then it's perfect for you. Great to see you back Russ!

    Hopefully, you had a great vacation! Sounds like you lost weight, on vacation!! Unusual! Welcome back! Good looking small bike. Strange place to put your battery, but with two, there’s plenty of power!
    Strange happening! My rear wheel 7 sprockets pick up some fishing line and jumped the chain right off! Putting it back in place was easy, but wasn’t running properly till I picked all that mono filament out!

    Hey Russ, welcome back. That Engwe is a beast. Oh, no front fender. But the 24 inch wheel is a great feature. And it folds for a second battery. Clever. It is a cool looking bike with that back seat pad. Agree, I would never carry a person on it. (Side note, there was an ad on your video for the new 3.0 Lectric bike and they changed the chain or free wheel so no ghost pedaling. “Always feel the power when you pedal.” So they must have been listening to their riders.)

    Hey Russ love your channel. I really like this 24” as I am shorter. Cool looking with interesting features. I do prefer twist throttle, but. One thing that does jerk me is the external battery connector. I see a lot of stress over time possibly damaging connection between battery and plug. I would replace straight connection with a angled more low profile style connection and perhaps with a locking (screw in) mechanism.
    I believe to date you are the only one to review this bike.
    I like it a lot
    Thank you

    Great that it's a 24" wheeled bike but it still seems big! The X26 must be a monster. Looking forward to the X20 and to see if they adress any of the shortfalls of this bike, especially adding fenders!

    That Seat post battery is wild!! Never seen that before, Interesting! The horn sounds like some kind of video game sound effects? that’s kind of confusing!

  • @EbikeReviews
    @EbikeReviews 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Good looking ebike. I like the idea of a 24" tire ebike, 26" is very large and limits who can ride it. Very interesting putting the battery in the seat post. I have not seen that. I never liked the design when batteries are just attached to it. Chain slap will tear up the derailer cable over time, that was a fail on their part. Torque seems low. For a full suspension ebike that you could take off road it has low torque. Interesting. Why would they give you a padded rear seat with no foot pegs? Wow, just seems not very well thought out. The bike has good potential.

    Welcome Back Russ. I would have concern for the design of seatpost. I guess the three point shock system cancels out an improved performance provided by a suspension seat post.

    I'm always surprise at the amount of free space you have to ride on the bike/walking trails. The trails around me are congested with people which I guess is a good thing.

    Thanks for a great video. Do you know what the bike weighs? Also, is there a resting post under the pedals to rest the bike on when folded? It seems a common feature on 20 inch folders, don’t see it on the bike here.

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      92.3 lbs. There is no support under the bike when folded. I would only fold if I had to remove the battery. Because I don’t do that, I have never folded the bike. I would not consider this a folding bike as it is way too heavy to consider it a folding bike.

  • @retnav92
    @retnav92 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Interesting frame design. Two drawbacks (imo). It needs fenders, and the most glarirg one to me, is the "seat post" battery power supply plug should be the right-angle type, routing the power cord downward, to prevent possible breakage. The current design protrudes straight out from the "seat post".
    24" tires? Seems like a good option.

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      24 is good.

    I think that big elephants trunk cable management they have going in the front really cheapens the look of the bike considering how good the rest looks, they could have done better!

  • @AKCobra1120

    Hi Russ, question for you. I hear a lot of reviewers say almost word for word what you said about the derailer on this bike (which is apparently VERY commonly used). "It works fine, but they could have used a better one". As this is the derailer I have on my bike I agree with the statement that it works fine, but after hearing very similar comments to yours about it so often I have to wonder, what do the higher end ones do better? If this one works fine (which seems to be the consensus), what's better about higher end ones that would make me want to pay more for it? Easier adjustment? Last longer? Someting else? Just curious...

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just better built and shifts a little smoother with the better derailleurs. Other than that, they work fine.

    Hi Russ. Thanks for the video. I'm looking at purchasing this X24 I'm 5ft7 163 lbs would this fit my size or better off with the X26? I dont travel more than 30 miles do you think a single battery would be adequate? Thanks again!

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, let's put it this way, I'm 5'10" with an inseam of around 30.5 to 31 inches and the X24 has me clearing the top tube perfectly. So that would mean even for me, the X26 would be a little too large. As for 30 miles, that depends on various factors. If you pedal mostly and not throttle all the time, maybe. If you ride in a lower pedal assist, maybe. If you don't have many hills to climb, maybe. If you don't weigh a lot, maybe. So you see, it's impossible to guess whether you will get 30 miles out of any ebike. By the way, if you buy one, please use the affiliate link in the description of the video before you place the order. That helps me out. Thanks!

    I don't understand the benefit of the triple suspension. Just a gimmick I suppose. If you have decent rear shocks and a front suspension fork, the mid shock shouldn't be needed.
    In your 360 shots, it doesn't look like you are leaning forward much.

    • @harrymiram6621

      As e-biike rider w/bad back, triple suspension sounds Very comforting! Current ride has NO suspension! (Atrocious on my part!)
